That guitar neck must be really easy to bend, he gets some sweet vibrato sounds out of it without a whammy bar. Most guitars I've played require more effort than that.
That sound was pete whaling on the strings while fretting his strings on the pickup of his danelectro. Check out the safe for work set they do that during a ton of the solos and it's kinda sick lol.
Austin Bennett agreed, this performance and the 65’ San Fran live Dead performances do sound similar. That thin and almost wirey guitar riff and clashing drum cymbals. Mac just needs some classic organ bits and they’d be set lol
"Fresh pack of 'Roy's - the vice of this boy" what a lyric
Oliver Cornford vice for this boy***
@@buttmuncher8024 the Vice of this boy***
@@buttmuncher8024 definitely vice of this boy
Best version of I'm a man he's ever done
I miss Pete so much, he is such a good guitar player
atleast he has homeshake i think he's better there
Mac's guitar vibe is a wave that only Pete can ride.
@Dom EFC baby's wearing blue jeans was written together
In 3:07 you can see that Mac has a "wtf" face when Peter gets a little bit crazy with his guitarrr
I'm a Man 0:24
Annie 3:03
Ode to Viceroy 6:12
Freaking out the Neighborhood 9:36
Pete's danelectro is so cool
Yeah. I think its a 59 nos

Im a maaaaaan

I love the drums in this part 11:35
I love his look at 3:09 like "what the fuck was that?"
Obsessed from the second they started playing, that riff is sick and danceable as fuck!
i fucking love the bridge for annie live
agreed. ridiculously innovative, by far my favorite mac song. i get chills every time
the live version has got a lot more energy than the studio version, its pretty great
There is no bridge in Annie. You are thinking of the part where they extend the chorus into a coda, maybe?
This entire video is a fucking gem. love you mac.
greatest person ever
3:08 mac looks his buddy like what did you just do?!
The snare is so dry and so loud in the mix I love it
Hello Barack. Keep killin it dude
I love how he sings I'm a man in this one. It's even better than the studio version
Just watching how Mac plays guitar is so satisfying
lol the kiss at 9:15
+Imsowild Child
Imsowild Child Now we know Mac really is Superman. His kiss gave Pete temporary guitar amnesia
2:01 thats some fire right there. i want more funky mac
Lil feedback but sound engineer is on point! And the recording is flawless. Nice workkkk. I'm a man.

+chris thomas it's cause he's literally that good
Someone got kicked out halfway through the set, anyone know why ?
probably shitting on the floor or something
@@penceer2725 yeah
Props to the camera guy
This teaches me something. If you’re relying on the audience to only assess you on your singing and playing skills, you’re doing something wrong.
Sí Mon are you referring to the showman aspect of performing live? if so, yea totally agreed
turn that fuckin bass up
That guitar neck must be really easy to bend, he gets some sweet vibrato sounds out of it without a whammy bar. Most guitars I've played require more effort than that.
I have a mex strat and sg and I get super easy vibrato. Its all in pushing the body back and neck forward.
The whammy bar is there, you can kind of see his pinkie holding it around 2:52, it's just out of view a lot of the time
He Dosent have a whammy though
His vibrato pedal?
Anyone else think his voice sounded a lot better then any other performance hes done??
Idk man, he's sounded excellent live lately. He definitely sounds A1 here though!
sometimes you;re just on, huh
he wasn’t completely black out drunk thats why
he's the best showman since freddie mercury
1:51, Kurt cobain
the man can sing
Mac DeMarco Safe For Work
I like the drums on this song, it sounds like a rolling train
Hey Fogman may I grip a cig?

Clip board pick guard so sick
Hahaha the way he looks at the Mic feedback in annie

Sounds like the Grateful Dead when they start going out of tune
Austin Bennett got any dead songs that remind you of it in particular?
Mana Wordsworth not any particular song, just reminds me of early dead 1965-68ish
