Chris is one of the best newcomer guitar players of the last decade. Not only does he come up with tasty licks, fills, and solo's, but he can actually nail them live every time. I saw them in Seattle last week, they're great!

@1 2 yeah I was really thinking that the thing this band needs to break out more would be a less lazy drummer. Someone who really attacks the kit. This guy is letting the beat dictate things and not dictating the beat.
It's verging on being slacker rock. Pavement-esque. The 'lazy' drumming that sinks into the malaise is literally part of the genre. Plus I'm a fan of almost every band you've listed and I wouldn't say ANY of them having extremely proficient or well-reputed drummers bar Incubus. You're sounding awful pretentious to be coming out with names like Foxing and From Indian Lakes who aren't doing anything more special with their rhythm section than Peach Pit really.

@@TheCloud785 Dude, I absolutely love this set. It;s amazing. The first song I heard by peach pit was peach pit and it instantly blew me away. I had a girl learn harmony and sing it with me. I med a colleague who knew about them through an ex partner. And he was from Sydney in Aus and I'm from Adelaide and we both live in Brisbane. These guys do not get enough credit IMO but I guess everything takes time. My favourite song order probably goes: Tommy's Party:Being So Normal:Private Presley:Peach Pit:Seventeen:Cut the Guillotine (faster version):Cut the gillotine (slower version): Did I make you cry on christmas day. Approximately. What I like about Tommy's Party is how it builds to a climax; this idea that it could be a friend of yours (male or female) (bud - 420 reference) but at the same time it could be an ex lover of yours. And you could extend that even further to say it could be interpreted by any person of any sexuality if you're creative enough, and I'd love to ask him if it was intentional. I think that it's likely intentionally written to be ambiguous as to whether it was his friend (bud), or his ex-partner when he says "hey there bu-ud how'd it go, last night, i'm sorrry to have ditched out but I was pretty hii-ii-ii-igh, heard from lesley that autumn stumbled home..."
