All that technological sound stuff with different woods and shapes only applies to acoustic guitars. SRV could get his sound out of a Squier or your fave metal guy could do the same. I will say that the pickups do make a difference and the amp/pedals but when it comes to electrical guitar the actual model doesn't matter at all. These are just things that have been ingrained into our brains to brainwash us to think we need to spend 5000 dollars on some flashy PRS or totally metal Ibanez dude! Stop falling for the schemes people. It all comes down to talent and that's how it's always been and always will be. A true artist could pick up any piece of crap and play it well and make it sound good. Stop focusing on product, focus on your inner self and what is inside of you will come out of whatever instrument you are holding.
