    By far the best instructional video on how to learn to wheelie I have seen. You guys are really great and I hope you keep it up with these kind of videos. This is the kind of stuff we have been asking for and you answered! Thank you, thank you, thank you.

    this is much better compared to the older videos. In depth and teaching drills to learn a skill is just what us average riders and riders that are just starting need. This is great KEEP IT UP!! :)

    GREAT TIP! I have always been ok at power wheelies, now wanting to ride slower more tech terrain and mastering the 2 footer or goon wheelie is a great help in multiple close logs and the like.thanks

    this is 'the best' and really 'the correct' way to learn to wheelie. we can learn doing speed wheelies too, but, when we crash there is a huuuuge difference. crashing slow you get up laughing. crashing fast you wake up in the hospital.

    Would have been great to see a close up of the clutch control. I've read through the comments and it looks like only a couple have reported if it worked. Will be trying it this weekend. Will get back to you about the results. I'm not expecting to get it right away but should get a good sense if it will work for me. Thanks for this can't wait to try it.

    Nice video. But is looks to easy when Brian does it. I tried it just like Brian standing still on my husky TE450. The result is that my fathers lawn is wrecked ;-). I can do a slow wheelie, but I have to have a little speed. But I will practice it on my trial motorcycle and when I master it. I will give it a go on the Husky. Thanks and keep up the good work ;-)

    Its because you have a heavy bike that isn't overly powerful, you will probably need to pre-load the front to get the front wheel up and have you weight quite far back, your have to pop the clutch to do it.

    With the 1 foot on the peg/back brake and the other dangling down as a safety approach, should you start off the wheelie with your foot on the brake or lift you foot up right after starting the wheelie?

  • @GitoAtom
    @GitoAtom 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    I do wheelies on about any bike for as long as i want. I am no pro, but i took the time to reply here because i would never learn it like it´s explained. Full throtlle first gear will cause a lot of damage in you and you bike. Start by dominating the wheelie in a BICYCLE. Controling your balance point with the rear brake. Once you are able to wheelie down hill without pedaling keeping the bike a little after balance with you feet on the pedals, then proceed to motor. Rear brake IS the security!

  • @lincolnpicillo
    @lincolnpicillo 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    should have gone a bit more in depth about what you do with the clutch and throttle. Such as hold the throttle at a spot and feather the clutch while your up or if you use both at the same time. how much throttle you need to get up and if you just dump the clutch to get up or let it in then give it a lot of gas ect.. all you say is its very difficult... great explanation!

    i think that maybe my bike is too big. crf450. it goes too fast in first gear and even when i pull the clutch in the bike still gets away from me and i crash. how is brian going so slow? i launch the front wheel at about walking speed. i know for certain that this method is the way to learn. do you think i'd have better luck on a smaller bike?

    Use your body weight to pull on the handlebars. I almost jump out of my Yamaha DT LC 50 but i can wheelie on it up to sixth gear. You need to be already "sharp" with your rear brake control to do it. You should be able to shift up (and down) while doing it, or it wont be much fun.... easier on my YZ 125 tough :P
