    Memories ... so much memories. I nearly died on my way to San Bol back in 2011. This tiny but lovely place became my life saver. A very special Albergue that felt like from another planet - so energizing and peaceful. On this day I learned one thing: You don't ever have to fear, because you will always find an oasis to refresh your energy. Thanks for your video and for bringing back those memories.

      Wow-thank you so much for sharing your story! And, yes, no matter how bleak the outlook, there will always be moments (and people) that refresh your body, mind, and soul. I’m so happy to share my journey with you and appreciate you following along! Buen Camino! 👣

    Having been enjoying your Camino vlogs. You capture the spirit, hardships, beauty and community of the Camino really well and your personality just shines! After doing a section of the Portuguese Camino a few years have been inspired to to this Camino. My wife did French Camino 6 years ago with a friend and we plan to do it together next year so have been watching many Camino videos and yours is certainly one of the most enjoyable. Thanks for sharing your journey.

    Great, nice to see this again. Last year was my Camino. I already told you once, walked from Rotterdam in the Netherlands to Santiago de Compostela 2600 kilometers in 106 days. Castrojeriz was one of my stage places. So beautiful and peaceful. The next day is quite a climb to get out of the valley. Thank you for sharing so much, thank you for sharing.

    Hi Rachelle another outstanding video, thanks for the shout out and the albergue at 20:10 you were exploring was where I stayed and it was way cool. The hospitalero there was extremely friendly and opened up the basement for me to video and tour!

    Ah, so nice to see this beautiful vlog. Everyone’s heartache on Kobe right now isn’t what we all expected to experience. Definitely shows how precious life is in every second we live. This vlog was a wonderful representation of just how beautiful presence is. Those arches and sunsets....gorgeous. Thanks for sharing!

    Storks used to migrate to Africa in winter but there is a change in migration as Spain is getting warmer.

    Tracey & Guy from Adelaide - At this stage we were two days behind you, I walked into Castrojeriz with the worst blisters, didn't diminish how beautiful the walk was.

    didn't you see the blue bike in castrojeriz?

    • @IllGetThere
      @IllGetThere  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, I didn’t-what is the significance?

    • @m.d.9970
      @m.d.9970 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The blue bike is a sign in front of a door in Castrojeriz. When you stand in front of it, it looks like it's closed, but you just have to open the door and go inside! This is one of the most peaceful places on the Camino, it can be a life-changing place! El Templo del Silincio

    I never understood folks on the Camino who did 30 K and more in a day! Why would you wanna get up in the dark when you can’t see anything, just so you can push yourself? Then again everybody has its own rhythm.... I just found these folks very annoying who got up even as early as 4 o’clock in the dorms, waking everybody up ...and then actually arriving at the next stop even before noon.

      I hear you! I had long days (38km) and very short days (10km)-lots of factors that came into play, taking it day by day. I would say I averaged 20-25km and left around 6am on most days but I’m a slowish walker who finds inspiration in the the glory of a sunrise, taking time for photos and videos and snacks, lol, so I didn’t get in until around 2. But, yes, to each his own Camino. 😊🙏👣
