    Someone told me on the Camino, “the Camino is life, condensed into weeks”…and it’s so true. Thank you for sharing.

      That’s a perfect way to describe the Camino!

    I remember Grañon and those ruins from last September! Communal meal in Grañon .. wish I'd stayed in Castrojerez too:)

    Thank you so much for making this, we just came back Oct 8th, I did León to Santiago on a bike while my wife walked it, we are already going back in May to do more, it's life changing in ways I'm still processing,
    Buen Camino 🙌

      so happy to hear this 💜 I met a few cyclists staying at albergues and it was so interesting to hear about their experience! I am considering taking some sections by e-bike in the future. Very curious to try it out!

      @jenontherunn Riding on a regular gravel bike was quite challenging, definitely recommend mountain bike, and past León the elevations were difficult, I was going about 42 miles a day, I would recommend going more like 35, I didn't feel like I had enough time to enjoy the surroundings, of course Ebike would be different 😀

    Donativo should not be referred to as free - it is donation to help those running the place - you should pay appropriately

      Thank you! That is correct. I learned that along the way.

    My son and I walked the Camino in May/June of this year. The Messeta was a highlight. We loved it! The view from the castle looks amazing. We did not do the climb as this particular day for us was a very hot 35c, and a long 30km walk. We were exhausted!

      @jenontherunn  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      30km is a very long walk, especially in that heat! So glad to hear how your experience was. I always love seeing families on the Camino - I met another father son group, two sisters, and mom and daughter groups! 🤍

    No comment? Let me change that. What’s your next adventure after the Camino? What excites you?

    • @jenontherunn

      Thank you for your comment!! I was beginning to worry 😆 😂 My next adventure coming up is NorCal in November and Hawaii in December! 🌺 Where are you headed next?

      @@jenontherunnDon’t worry. Quality content like this won’t go unnoticed. Your videos are the final push I need to start planning for the Camino. Before that, I’m actually going on a solo road trip in NorCal in November. Might do a little camping and hunt for wild hot springs if the roads are still passable where I’m going. If we run into each other by some miracle, I will be sure to buy you a drink. Meanwhile, hope you have a lot of fun on your next adventure and get lots of good footage. Stay safe and have fun!

    Hey Jen! What time of year did you start? I want to do it early next May! :)

    • @jenontherunn
      @jenontherunn  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey!! Thanks so much for your comment. I started in mid-August and ended in September. May would be such a good time to go! Even late April if you can. I think I would recommend going at the start of the season, in spring, like you're thinking. That way you might be less likely to come across bed bugs! Let me know if you have any questions. So glad to connect here!

      Creo que comenzar en mayo es una excelente idea. Días largos y buen clima, aún poco caluroso. Suerte y buen Camino.

    How early in the morning did u start?
    And did u always have signal in your phone?
    And what about bathrooms? Is it like portable restrooms along the road 🙊

    • @jenontherunn
      @jenontherunn  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Usually I would try to start each day between 7am-8:15am. I had signal on my phone almost everywhere on the Camino. There are many places to stop to use the bathroom however sometimes there are long stretches between towns. You can try to plan your breaks ahead, or if worse comes to worse, squat in the woods! 😅
