Very affordable and often get solid reviews for the price. Great option for home recorder. Put one 6 inches from fret 10 and one on the butt of your acoustic guitar and record away.

Another review that I watched for these sounded way too far from a foot away and way too close from like 2 inches away so I thought that maybe 4-6 inches might be the sweet spot. Your review just confirmed this 😅
And also confirmed that I’d prefer these as a good, nearby overhead set of mics (or single mic, not sure if you tested them as a pair or as singles) over a large diaphragm condenser that I need to get less than an inch from to sound decent and still risk wind noise.

I don't remember. It would have been either the Behringer B2, Rode Procaster, or MXL 2008
So I'm thinking of using these as overhead mics to record group discussions on video. I can't find any reviews or videos on this particle use and would like to know your thoughts.
They would work. Probably not as good as a couple shotgun style mics, but should be ok.
How would you compare these with the Lewitt 040 matched set? Obviously these are at a lower price point...

We are using them as overheads in addition to our C414 overheads, I'm also using them live. Works great!
In addition to the C414s they give great impulse response, and on top of the close mics it just adds a great, roomy impact to the snare, and generally adds some more air. Cymbals can be a little bit harsh, but it's very controllable with EQ.
For live gigs, on smaller venues I'm sometimes even just setting up these two and a BD mic, eventually a Snare mic, although I often don't need it in those cases, and I got complimented on the drum sound a few times with just that already.
