You are losing when you impose 100% tariffs on your competitor.

@@highondesign in history chinese Ming and Qing dynasty, Japanese medieval era all fall because of protectionism
Great Depression in 1929 and the american outsourcing era in 1980s last till now all started because of protectionism and tariff

Protectionism and high tariffs never benefited anyone! Consumers end up paying a whole lot more for low quality products and services as a result of such policies.

Lots of countries use protectionist policies to grow their local markets. The U.S. does it all the time.

China = cheap, bad standards. Tesla has been proven and battle tested with years of experience with safety in mind. I’d rather go with the Tesla all day, safety first.

Cheap doesnt mean Not good, Take an Inventory of your hosehold item, what is made in America and what is made in china, Since the sixties i cant find anything that is made in America..

@@ttumpy there is a reason for that lol, same as you don’t see that much made in the U.K. or made in Canada, etc…now teslas are made in America, Germany, and Shanghai. I would only buy Teslas made and assembled in America or Germany where there are strict standards that needs to be met.

Your comment reflects the mentality of the western view of China. They neglect the fact that China has been quietly improving on and on, they have been caught off guard when slowly but surely China technology surpasses them to the point it's too little too late to catch up by imposing tariffs, etc.
