When I was in school (Bern, Switzerland,1975-1987) orienteering was part of the normal sport curriculum. Our equipment wasn't so high tech, but the fun was the same! Orienteering was pushed by the Military, it really helped me a lot during my service years (1987-2005)
This just came up in my recommended list. So glad I found this as I do orienteering at regional and National level and will be attending a national training camp in the summer. Orienteering has been a massive part of my life and I’m so glad that it’s getting some publicity that it deserves
I've never seen a "thumbpass" before but by gosh now I need one! I've done an orienteering race once but this one was much or tech savoy with the electric-thumb-prob-thing. Looks like it was a great time, and as always, you captured the event perfectly. Nice job, Stephen!
Our whole family is running orienteering it ia great sport for kids, old ppl and not goodbrunners like me😂. You need to find control, make quick desitions and run in unknow forest, places and towns.

I wish we had that at school! I hated sports at school as it was team games like rugby or cricket and I was terrible at them.

Thanks Luke, glad you enjoyed the video 🙂 I’ll definitely be back to try it again

I have yeah, did it a bit a few years ago. Louise really enjoys it
I've never seen that every control is safely secured against theft. I'm glad that we don't have to do this in Switzerland.
Depends on location, this park is in quite an urban area
This is orienteering foot
Orienteering foot? Is that a medical condition?
