Great video! Thinking of getting the 150mm lens for portrait. How's the focusing with this lens in the rangefinder?Heard there might be some issues of focus in this len. Any insights? Thanks!
Nice, I had a Mamiya 6 as my main camera for a couple of years. I loved it. It never failed me and was a fantastic travel camera. I only sold it recently as I was a bit afraid of the electricity failing and ending up with a very expensive paper weight. I also wanted some more flexibility for my landscapes. So I got a Linhof Technika 6x7 and a Agfa Super Isolette instead. So far I don't regret the switch. The Isolette has a bit more character. The Mamiya 6 lenses can produce a bit flat images sometimes, although they are technically near perfect.
@@StephenMilner I like your work in square format a lot, don't blame you. Personally I am still addicted to the rb67 system but would love something like this for travel
Over 60 years, I;ve never had much use for the 6x6cm format, so never paid attention to the Mamiya 6 here. However, the weight of my extensive Pentax 67 system has recently pushed me into 645 format. I'd look at this as a 645 format you do not have t rotate 90 degrees between portrait and landscape modes. The lenses are excellent. Not sure of its durability, as both the Mamiya 6 and 7 series have a number of mechanical weaknesses. Overall, I'd look st it as a great travel camera.
Looks awesome. I’m so tempted to try 1. I want compact rangefinder w/ good flash sync & carry around

My favorite camera ever. So good!
Remember when I unboxed my RZ67 pro II.
Love Mamiya, is the BEST BRAND.
Great Photos...
Thank you 🙏
Got my Mamiya 645 in 1998. Still shooting and loving medium format.
Nice, sounds like a cool story
I have the 6MF as well. Great camera. Only issue is that you won’t be able to precisely use GND filters
wish the photo samples were actually labeled
Great Mamiya 6 Vlog, thanks a lot for sharing, have a wonderful week
Thank you 🙏 You too!
The panoramic adapter only works with the MF version
Congrats on the new kit it looks awesome look forward to seeing you in the field with it 📷
Hello,
Where did you get it??
Amazing Camera
Thanks you 🙏 I purchased it from another photographer in NZ
If you like landscapes you should go large format and see if you like that bigger format. great video and thanks for sharing.
Thank you 🙏
"75mm MF is the equivelent of 80mm on 35mm"? that's not right is it? I though the 75mm was roughly 42mm on 35mm equivency??
Yes, you are right
Great video and nice pictures ! Do you still have the Hasselblad as well ? Or does the Mamiya 6 replace it ?
Thank you 🙏 I replaced it with the 6

Nice, I’m not familiar with that camera. I’ll check it out...
Isn't the mamiya 6 mf a mechanical camera? Or do you mean the light meter may go out?
Keep it up man!
Nice Vid Stephen. Need to catch up again mate and do that Dig V Analogue MF vid!
Regards,
Ewan
Thanks Ewan. I’ll be around Sunday if you have time?
Doesn’t this do 645 as well?
Possibly and 6x7 with mask inserts
@@StephenMilner Definitely does 645 but unfortunately its shoots it horizontally so you don't gain 6 frames :(
May as well crop during the scanning. The Bronica rf645 could be a good option...
You sure the batteries go in there?😄
Do you still have the Mamiya 7 as well?
Sold the 7 when I got the hasselblad...

Thanks 🙏 The weight difference will be huge between the two...
@@StephenMilner definitely. Back is sore after a long hike with it haha
I feel your pain. Rangefinders are great for saving weight.
