    If the Bug Sword was in Falzar, then it might have more value. Since it is basically a Slash cross play style without Slash cross.

    Gregar with Q Force's big oppressive power vs Falzar with it's tool box of solid gigas. It's all preference. Power or utility. I'll usually just mash buttons (gregar) but sometimes the Falzar way of playing seems pretty interesting and fun. PS; I think gregar having mostly mid gigas was planned.

    • @sorenphonknerd

      Agreed on that last part especially. But I think they overshot it with Q force by orders of magnitude.

    I love how Competitive BN players almost ALWAYS have interest or background in both Pokemon and Card Games, haha. To be fair, the similarities are there so I get it, and especially with TCGs. BN is a card game in many ways, and there is a lot of broad overlap with ideas like "Aggro, Midrange, Control" styles when referring to folder builds and such.
    I think Soul hit the nail on the head by calling ColForce Landorus 😂
    You don't get better at net battling in 6 unless you start to plan around the most common things and have contingencies for them, and pretty much the FIRST thing on that list for me is "how do I not get shredded to pieces by one of the most busted gigas I can expect to see in PvP"
    The same kind of ideas easily apply to competitive pokemon battling and pretty much every TCG, but for sure the big 3 (YGO, MtG, PTCG)

      It’s also unfair that some of these chips are being ranked low solely due to pvp and ignoring how good they are outside of it, they should all be ranked on how good and versatile they are in all modes not just exclusively pvp.

    Bass Anomaly and Bass should be in s+ tier on a base field undodgable 480 and 640 damage. Hubbatch could come in late and not have much benefit. Meteor knuckle is rng. Good video

      I agree especially when you boost them with attack booster chips that greatly increase their damage like attack plus 30 and Navi plus 20 that can get close to 2000 or higher if you manage to get an angry or full synchro damage boost which can destroy anyone including bosses.

    Idk why they didn't make Big Hook lock on to the opponent instead of having a set AoE. It's like it was there agenda to make Gregar Giga Chips unreliable lol
    That said, I think Bass could be bumped up to B, behind Cross Divide. It has a few faults, but it still hits 8× pretty reliably. You can think of Double Point + Bass as 2 Giga Chips. 960 dmg against players of either version on your call? You have to draw the DblPt, true, but I don't think that's much more situational than Cross Divide. I think Bass's strengths are a lot greater than that of the chips that _are_ beneath it, too. Bass is far easier to use than Delta Ray Edge and dumping all that dmg at once beats Bug Rise Sword, which is fairly redundant and not so great when you already have Cross Power Attacks with decent damage and range.

    • @scoutmasterdemi
      @scoutmasterdemi  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      I think you make a solid case DoubleBeast! (Great name btw)
      Also it's pretty crazy how much better MeteorKnuckle is and that's totally due to it homing instead of BigHook's set range...

    I think delta deserves B tier. It still gets 2 hits as long as they're not in the top. I'd say it's right on par with crossdivide. Can also be combo'd with a magcoil for a guaranteed 780, which is terrifying. And the icing on the cake, it's Z code, so enjoy using it on the same turn as your sanctuary.

    • @meowbahhyt
      @meowbahhyt 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Delta ray only gets one hit in the back middle or bottom. Double point plus bass is already 960 damage or 880 damage that in undodgable in their 3x3 area. It is above big hook though

      @@meowbahhyt Not particularly fair to compare the damage of a combo of 2 chips (that leaves your opponent with +1 area) to the damage of a single chip. But there is another upside to Dray over Bass, it's sword element. Landing 2-3 swipes on Tengu can deal 1,040-1,560

    • @meowbahhyt
      @meowbahhyt 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Deltaray has the highest damage with all 3 hits. It depends on pve vs pvp too. The area of effect and how your opponent could counterplay it by moving where it can't hit affects the tier too. Bass hits all enemies in pve for 480 but bass anomaly or Delta ray can't.

    Sounds like the demerits can easily be worked around if you really want to use it, which the reward justifies the investment.
    That sounds like a solid B to me.

    Some Giga Chips contradicts the playstyle that version had in general. Big Hook is the unfortunate L because it is locked to default range. Would have been B tier if it adjust based on your opponent position like the Flame Hook PA. I have no argument for that. The rest is okay. Colonel Force and Meteor Knuckle is very consistent for their placement but I do have my own take for Delta Ray Edge and Cross Divide.
    My personal thought is that I would put Cross Divide on bottom of A and Delta Ray in B even for Standard format. Cross Divide can't whiff unless you're extremely bad at aiming and usable at almost any range if you line up with your opponent. Hitting 500 damage in one hit could trigger rage on normal Megaman which is why I think it is bottom of A. IDK, I haven't test it myself. Delta Ray is situationally good mainly because the chances of success raised significantly when you got column locked by your opponent or being pressured. Its a Giga Chip meant to hard punish players that try to pressure you. You definitely need to have extreme patience as Gregar player to use Delta Ray Edge and less likely to whiff when you get pressured and be the one to initiate TFC instead. My definition of situationally good is like high risk, high reward.
    Even if it is a counterplay for Gigas, having both Bass giga chips whiff on holes, specifically when opposing players stood on them is just poor design choice because it contradicts what you see Bass did to you in Boss fight but you can't do the same. Its a big clickbait, disrespect for what Bass can do to you (even if I am not a hard fan for Bass) and I personally don't like it. The existing range is plenty for a counterplay to whiff this chip in general with Invis, Anti Navi, going outside the range by camping forward for Bass, hiding behind a column of holes for Bass Anomaly. That's just my take but it is what it is.
    As always, love to know the thoughts and opinions on these chips along with how they perform in PvP.

    I am curious about the pathfinding of Bass Anomaly. Is there any data on it?
    Like, Geddon is obviously bad, but if for example there is just one or two holes, how do you determine if your enemy will be hit or not? I am pretty sure that: two rollers get launched above you and two below you, and initially they will just keep going forward. However it has some autoaiming kinda thing going on too.
    For example, on this situation, you get 4 hits:
    (M = Megaman, E = Enemy, O = Solid Square, X = Broken Square)
    OOOOOO
    OMOOEO
    OOOOOO
    But what about this?
    OOOOOO
    OMOXEO
    OOOOOO
    Or this?
    OOOOXO
    OMOXOO
    OXOOOE
    Or this? (F = Fanfare or another obstacle)
    OOOOFO
    OMOOEO
    OOOOFO
    Or even this for PVE?
    OOOOEO
    OMOOEO
    OOOOEO
    If you're holding BassAnly, how do you know where your opponent has to be in order to hit them?

    • @kirito_4kirigaya944
      @kirito_4kirigaya944 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Well for 1 the enemy always has to be standing in the center panels for them to be hit with both wheels. If not they will only be hit with 1. If both were standing in the middle and there is 1 hole in front then it'll still hit the enemy with both wheels I believe. But if the hole is right in front of bass then the wheels will disappear. But if there is a space in front of bass and a hole in front of the enemy it'll still hit I believe.

    • @huzzah3234
      @huzzah3234 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      So I went and tested this out:
      First, the wheels spawn in front of Bass, then move back to where Bass is, then move up or down, then start moving forward.
      AFTER the first forward movement they can start homing. They will home if they detect an enemy in a direct 45 degrees diagonal to them. They will home in at the first opportunity and won't stop moving diagonally until they go offscreen.
      Example
      OOOOOE
      OMOOOE
      O>>>OE
      The enemy on the top row will be hit like this:
      OOOOO>
      OMOO>O
      O>>>OO
      Other squares are unnecessary.
      They can also only home inwards. Ex the wheels launched from the above can only home in downwards.
      Obstacles dont count as targets.
      In PvP with no holes, your enemy will get hit by all 4 hits as long as youre in the middle row.
      But you can also calculate where your enemy needs to be in case there are a few holes, its not very complicated.
      And you can always use like a 1x1 sword in any row to guarantee 4 hits.
