- Hailing from space in the hunt to eliminate all evil, Duo is here! One of Mega Man greatest allies, he shows all those who act in the name of evil what true justice is. Duo is notable for having a giant arm and a brute force fighting style.

I always viewed Duo as sort of the epitome of "good" in the Mega Man universe with the Evil Robot he's against being the epitome of "evil". It always felt kind of fitting to me for the Maverick Virus, if the implications are to be believed, to have come from The Evil Energy of The Evil Robot given how seriously Duo treats the Evil Energy and what all the Maverick Virus leads to for the Earth in general with how galactic of a threat the Evil Energy seemed to be.
I love how Duo looks in B&C, he's just a head in a car. Duo turned into a convertible, lessgo
2:32 my theory is that the technology of earth is less advanced than what duo was built from and some of his parts were destroyed
So to compensate, some things needed to be changed or rebuilt in order to handle the energy duo is made of which is probably why he has 4 crystals
Also I rather believe Cossack at least helped to rebuild him which is why Duo has a russian beret
Anime Duo must be one of the most nightmarish beings in the whole Megaman verse, not because he’s an evil or chaotic god but because he’s a god with Knight Templar tendencies and HUGE standards. Not even Regal or the other Cross Fusion users were able to do anything to him, whether physically or morally, until Baryl offered himself to accompany Duo throughout space. A complete invincible villain who treated the deletion of whole worlds as just his job, which he treats deadly serious, which I find more terrifying than the childishly psychopathic Sirius who commands a black hole to add planets to his collection.
Cool character. Would love to see him again in a possible Megaman 12.
It'd a good thing Duo didn't see that part where Megaman was gonna straight up just kill Dr.Wily at the end of Megaman 7. 2:51
Would have love to see duo in the x series. The ultimate armor seems like a nod to Duo in it's nova strike and back mounted wings that appear when taking flight

Duo was really cool back in MM8, would've been cool if there was a Duo protagonist game where you just power up full of justice and smash through evil robots

This was fun! Had no idea Duo could do so much melee in the arcade games. I gotta give those another shot sometime soon!

Getting some Galactus & Unicrom vibes here...
They should have kept him as a Cossack robot to me. His helmet even looks kinda like a Russian winter hat. Cossack has barely anything to do in the series and they could have kept Duo around more.
Or they could do both. Keep him an alien robot who was repaired by Cossack. Have Cossack be the one to contact Mega Man about the meteor.
Him being an Earth robot constructed by Cossack isn't a bad idea but it makes their universe feel too small.
Duo needs to come back tho

I wonder if they'll ever bring back Duo, the OG one, imagine seeing him in a new entry, although it'd be super sad seeing him come back and realize that there's been centuries since he last saw Megaman
I wish they'd do something with him again.
If anything if he isn't dead, he can revive the whole earth to finally separate the wily virus.

You can find the colorized versions of Mega Mix vol 1 and 2 on udon's website. I don't think vol 3 or any of Gigamix is currently in production.
