    I like that the Sonic Boom command is similar to the command of Guile's Sonic Boom in Street Fighter.
    And the Super Sonic Boom almost has the same command as the Sonic Hurricane, which is Guile's "super" Sonic Boom.

    What annoys me is that the games NEVER TELL YOU ABOUT THE VARIOUS CODES. If they do, it's very obscure. I really hate when games do this...

      @@thatonepipsqueak887 a true fan... it's a half joke, as I myself have done this as these games are my favorites of all time, I've always searched and read everything in game just to do so. But I know many don't do this, and there are numerous untold inputs/codes/locations that are just simply obscure throughout the series. While I love these kinds of things, many people have attention deficit or simply don't have the time for the nonsense. Felt I needed to elaborate.

      @@salchichabarista I was the same way; I was even one of those weirdos who would constantly ignore the critical path to around the world/internet and talk to the npcs and check the BBS after various story events or in between chapters. Most of the time npcs would only update like once a chapter, but every so often you'd find an npc with dialogue relevant to whatever specific thing you were doing and that was always enough acknowledgement to push me to keep doing it lol.

    Thanks to this chip I never knew White version was the bad one, 4 copies of Element Sonic usually killed the Blue players on the playground before they could FoldrBak.

      White is better in terms of raw power and chip codes. Blue is better for broken options.

    • @DarkAuraLord
      @DarkAuraLord ปีที่แล้ว +7

      White actually has a pretty surprising number of advantages in different minor aspects, but I agree that it's pretty difficult to top the raw unhinged insanity of FoldrBak. They also get Dark Aura as well, which is absurdly broken, especially when COMBINED with foldrbak, which was not only possible, but a viable strategy as well. It really says a lot that they massively nerfed FoldrBak in the LC!

    slight note, NeoVariable's Double Life Sword doesn't flash for all 3 games 4-6, only when you use it in SlashCross's A charge does the second part of it flash (and kudos to you, if you can manage to pull that off)

    I think this trivia is obvious but Var sword was quite reminiscent to fighting game inputs
    Long Sword was the qcf motion used for Hadouken
    Life Sword is full circle commonly associated with Spinning Pile Driver
    Sonic Boom wasnt exactly it, but it have a similar theme to Charging Motion which was hold back, then forward + attack commonly associated with well, Sonic Boom
    Wide Sword and Ele Boom wasnt common though

    I suck hard at fighting games, and I can never get any of these commands right. It always seems to fail whenever I try. It's the primary reason why I've never gotten into those types of games - I don't have the skills to play them well and I don't enjoy them enough to want to improve. That same thing keeps me away from VarSword, which is annoying given how much power is locked behind it.

    • @jormilos
      @jormilos ปีที่แล้ว +1

      As someone who's played fighting games for a long time now, it helps to have friends that also enjoy them. You'll naturally pick things up just from the spirit of wanting to be able to best your buddies. I'd never have sunk hundreds of hours into multiple fighters if not for that one friend who's a bit of a tryhard

      @CantusTropus ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Royce I will say, though - the only fighting game I remember explicitly liking was that game specifically designed to be as accessible as possible, with one button comboes and such. I don't remember its name and it did poorly, but it was the only time where I was ever able to get the "aha, I see!" moment where I actually understood something about how I could actually strategise and USE my moves, rather than obsessing over the mere HOW of getting my moves to even come out at all.

    • @Rikarikun
      @Rikarikun ปีที่แล้ว

      for the most part it was just used as a stronger sword option as program advances were a lot more relaxed in the anime. Elemental Sonic for example continued to be one of Enzan's go-to PAs well after it had stopped being a thing in the games.
