Its lovely seeing so many people still talking about John, I've been a friend of his for years with little knowledge of his role but I've been watching the older Dr Whos, lovely interview
John Levene is such a true gentleman, very outspoken about his life, Hollywood & being Segeant Benton in the UNIT era. Amazing watching this behind the camera, to see it again is a treat! Great interview Jack & nice meeting you there. 👍
I loved watching this live! Wow watching this again is a real pleasure! When John says thank you for smiling that's me he's looking at! Felt like such an honour :)
Aww, I love his tangents. He's so open and welcoming - he lets you in on his life like we're old friends: The happy and devastating times. Thank you for a great interview, with a GREAT man. ❤❤
What a fascinating chap. I love his honesty. As a Christian myself I can empathise with a lot he said. I will pray for him as I have been in those dark places. We all have a God shaped hole that only he can fill. He always reminded me of a young Prince Andrew in Dr Who. Open Range is a great film.
@@Schoolaccount_08 oh wow 😲 that is so cool! I know how much he does want that opportunity with how much he loved his time and appreciates all the fan support. Can't wait for a chance to see him again at another convention too
I've actually met John Levine. I met him in 2012 at Armageddon Expo in Wellington and I am sorry to say, he was not very nice towards me, and he was rude. I ran into him, and he wouldn't stop and talk to me. Not even to say a friendly hello. Later at the autograph signing session, he said I made a bad judgment call and I explained to him that I am autistic, and I have Asperger syndrome. John Levine obviously has no knowledge of autism. He insulted me by telling me to go and do something about it and that I should go and smoke dope. Really disappointing. He was the rudest celebrity I have ever met.
I’m sorry to hear you had such a bad experience! John can be very abrasive, no doubt there, so I totally get it. Hopefully you’ve had lots of positive interactions with other Who folks to counter it ☺️
Daniel I’m sorry for your experience as I’m autistic and tbh, I like doctor who and I’ve watched his character in the Jon pertwee series it’s given me the other view of the actor himself. He should understand and accept more.
This was amazing! Such a real and honest interview, really interesting! I also can't believe that he admitted that he didn't enjoy the recent chibnall era of doctor who! But it's sadly so true, jodie was amazing as the thirteenth doctor, but the stories and publicity were poor to say the least. I really believe russell t davies has the potential to put things right again! Thanks for this! 😊😊

It was an interview I won’t soon forget! I feel very lucky to have done it

He's such a national treasure !Bless him and his energy 🥺☺️💚 Sergeant Benton forever. He really does need to come back into the series
I think he'd suit a quick cameo like he mentioned in the interview. The sort of "back in our day" thing :D
Id love to see him back, I'm a friend of John's so it'd be the best thing ever

To be fair he doe seem very grateful to have been part of Doctor Who and good on him for still going to conventions after all this time.
Oh 100%! And he was so kind after the event to James (Who ran it) saying how much he appreciated being there
I will never forget the kinda things he said to me 😂
He's a great guy!
I love the guy
He's one of a kind!
Top man is John
Yes indeed!
Possibly the greatest Heel turn in history!
Wow, that went a whole different way real fast...
Certainly took me off guard in the moment! 😆 But he was a lovely bloke

Keep going with doctor who road jack
I'll do what I want! :D
Sorry jack I said that
An interesting chap #tangent
A crazy chap indeed :D
you mentioned that he swears a lot so did you cut most of them out?
He only ended up swearing here or there in the interview, but I only really cut out his coughing a couple times and one big chunk at the end
If you're going to put a disclaimer up about someones weaknesses at least check your own. IE your spelling 😅
Hush you 😆
