Cannot agree more. The second act of the film almost had me in tears of sadness after the tears of laughter from the first act, and then the ending when Helden by David Bowie was playing left me with tears of joy. It was a very well structured satire that embraced all of the range that satire can give.

@@Barefoot_Joe so when you were a kid you got professionals who told and teached you about acting 24/7 ?
most people forget that these kids aren't borned miracles - even the ugliest and most cringe voice can become like an angel if you promote it
it's all about encouragement, all the actors worldwide share just one thing and that is _"pure luck"_.
they got lucky they got discovered and from than on promoted and encouraged to become and get anything they wanted.
of course you need to be quick-witted to stay in this business, that comes with experience...which comes with time.

Yeah, but no one cares in the end? That's never the point of a movie. Just like The Hunt for Red October. Sean Connery made no attempt to sound Russian, he just went full on Scottish and no one cared and it was a great Movie. For American Audiences at least, we would rather hear inaccurate accents than have to "Have" to read subtitles. The emotions of acting and the message can be delivered far better in someone's native language, regardless of the accent.

And that German schooling today now requires teaching about the horrors of Hitler's regime and that Nazis like you who still exist today are simply subscribing to uninformed thinking and brainwashing from extreme far right sources. Hearing their real accents amazes me, because they had solid German/Austrian accents in the film, especially Scarlett Johannson, Thomasin McKenzie, and Stephen Merchant. Like, all of them could pull off and did pull off believable German/Austrian accents in the film to the point that I thought "man, at least one of them has to have spent a good deal of time in Germany or Austria, because having been in Germany for a bit myself, Germans speaking English totally sound like that."

This is such a brilliant film. It has this perfect balance between taking the piss out of the Nazis and showing the plights and struggles of the Jewish people and the resistance living in the Germany. I think humour is one of the most under valued tools in fighting evil. I think it's so important that we take tragic events and treat them carefully and respectfully for the sake of the people who suffered. But it seems to me that all these tyrannical leaders love being feared and seen as powerful. There should be more media content that humiliates and makes a laughing stock of evil ideology and the people who believe it. We should be laughing at things like nazis, the cruel leaders of the British empire, people involved in the slave trade, white supremacists, all of the racist and fascist, power hungry and cruel leaders and perpetrators of our past and present. To me, the ability to laugh at people who believe irrational and terrible things whilst also being respectful and compassionate to this they hurt is such a powerful teaching tool and one taika waititi has managed to execute so incredibly in this film.

It happened to me so many times when I was trying to answer questions from people who asked me about my country, and I would say it but they just believe in the stereotypes and prejudice... and then it just gets worst from there. But imagine how lost and confused Jojo must be, in between two groups of people from the opposite sides, two different stories. Laughed so hard in the beginning and cried so hard at the end, can't believe some of the things in the movie are still being experienced by people right now around the world. Hope things gets better and love love love love the movie!
