An engaging video showing off a beautiful bike that makes you want to go for a ride through stunning and rugged terrain right now. Thanks for sharing Motochatter.
Great video! I bought the Nightster this May. My question for thee is how to change the spark plugs. Harley Davidson tells me that it is a 2.25 hour repair job. This is a definite budget buster.
By the time the 1500cc+ Version of this engine is ready to be put into a "Sport Bagger" and this engine has proven itself by then.....Then I'll consider trading my 2021 R1250-GS Triple Black
@@jesusamador4661 They are oilcooled. And believe touring models have twincooling Running water over the exhaust ports only. The main cooling is still aircooling tho. Have a 103 myself however. I was thinking about the softail standerd. But the small gastank was a dealbreaker for me.
The days of the hot air cooled engines are over. HD had to start producing Cadillac smooth motorcycles with all the current technology available. Holding on to 1950’s/1960’s legacy tech is dead, the huge problematic primary chain rotating in oil, pushrods, shifting clunk, and 3 hole oil changing. The revolution max engine will definitely work across the line with upsizing for touring models I am certain due to two up riding and heavy gear in tow. HD can’t go back and let old schoolers & MC clubs dictate their direction. The revolution Max engine is a result of current CNC manufacturing and new age internal oiling technology that can only aid in a Cadillac counter balanced smooth ride & smooth operating motorcycles. I am a bit curious if the touring model of this revolution max engine will be a stressed member of the chassis.
I think that's the plan. They will still produce an air-cooled cruiser/tourer for a little bit longer but I suspect that there's a naked street hooligan about to drop with the Sportster name on it, perhaps even called the new Iron in a 750cc. A "Sport" tourer should not be far behind. Indian has tourers with both air-cooled and liquid-cooled engines on the sales floor side-by-side right now.
This new engine is also needed to comply with emissions regulations in Europe. If they don’t change sooner or later they’re gonna lose a large number of potential customers.
If you want to go riding an adventure bike gofire Royal Enfield Himalayan for about 4 grand everybody loves their very reliable and are very inexpensive and let's face it you can't use 150 horsepower in the dirt
Hi Frank, you make a good point, I have come across a few Himalayans, but have yet to ride one, there is no doubt that there are a lot of advantages to the simplicity and lightness and they do seem to be very good value. Although, I personally would stick to a Tiger, Multistrada or GS etc for long distance continent crossing, maybe I am getting old, but I need to be comfortable and we have to remember these bikes are in a different market segment to the Himalayan. I would like to have a go on the Himalayan though too. Thanks for you comment and for watching, have a great day.
I say let the engine prove itself over time. Not crown it prematurely because you think you like it. I've heard there are problems with it already. One thing I find funny is that it isn't any faster than the old V rods, even with the extra gear. Speed wise, there are big twins out there with more power and torque. So I wonder how great this engine really is? How about that engine change, also? A lot more involved pulling this engine than pulling a normal harley engine.
Putting out more power than I thought. Great review!
Thanks!

I hope they make the nightster with the 1250
I ordered this fantastic Sportster S motorcycle the Engine is so Powerful I love it.Great Job HD
Love that they made it. But my money is still going into a new M8 engine. Most likely the last aircooled engine from Harley. Not passing on an icon.
Isn’t the m8 water cooled? Not sure of the 107 being air or water cooled tho, I can’t remember. I still have my 103 and now the pan am

All bolts is metrics or imperial
This engine is very reminiscent of Chinese cruiser engines, but the Chinese ones are much cheaper
I don't think it's as well built because this motor is chain driven as the old sportster motor is gear driven.
Harley had something unique with the old sportster. Now they just like every other manufacturer bad move I think.
Harleys shittiest engine yet...
8/10 Revmax Bikes break down one after another. cheap technology and shitty sound.
I wouldn't have one, if I wanted a crotch rocket looking motorcycle they are better looking ones out there for less money.
Isn't this engine just a mo betta vrod engine?????!!!!!!!
l like the motor but not so much what its going into .l wanna see it in a BUELL !!
A proper street fighter naked :)
This harley davidson it's a joke very ugly
Still a clunker.
