    Gorgeous looking ‘37. I appreciate the sensible & careful approach to modifications including the mild lowering of restored cars. I also greatly appreciate the sharing of JB’s vast knowledge on the manufacturer’s thinking at the time of building these cars. Keep up the great work.

    Very nice automobile! But just to clarify, Buick offered what was called the, “ Semi Automatic Transmission. It was Only offered in 1938. And it was Only available in the , Special “ models. Believe it or not, the first year you could order a automatic transmission in a Buick Century, was 1954!

      Thanks for joining us, Tom! We did a video on JB's 1948 Buick Roadmaster Woodie, which did come with the early Dynaflow that is an automatic. As far as 1954 is concerned, there may be a delineation as far as gears, torque converter, etc. and sometimes there can be a confusion of definitions.
