You have the best details! I've been subscribed for a couple years and don't miss one video! I watch many videos. Had a train when I was a teenager. Always wanted to do it again... but. From an architectural and artist's eye, your scenery is fantastic! Details are my life. I pause the video and study your grasses, weeds, dirt, esp along edges and transitions, the trees in front of the back drops. Grass, dirt and asphalt over the tracks, and all the details on the buildings and cracks on roads... awesome!!! Perfect!!! And your car weathering and aging is second to none. That you actually drive trains in real life sends it all home. I think it shows in the way you run the trains, slow moves, "stretch it out"! I wish you'd do more videos... ops and tours! Hey, know what no one does that I see in the prototype everywhere... puddles running in between and next to the tracks. Thanks man!!!!!
Watching your op-sessions is like a ring side seat at a real railyard! The steel loads on the bulkhead flats are awesome, as are the patched boxcars. Another great job.👍👍
I’m new to model railroading but this is fantastic. The backdrop at 2:50 with the buildings in it, can you tell me where you purchased that? I’m looking for a backdrop for my layout and it would be perfect. Thanks and I will be subscribing to your channel.
Your layout is really great! I like the weathering and the locomotives. Have you done a video on how you weather your equipment? It would be great if you could.
I've enjoyed your operating sessions for quite sometime, and I've seen it grow into a switching masterpiece. Not to mention your knowledge and experience. Great work! Keep giving lessons.
I love your videos and your layout! I was wondering where you purchased the backdrop at the 2:50 mark. I’m pretty new to model railroading but that is exactly what I’m looking for for a section of railroad. Keep up the good work!
Great operations series, learning a lot about switching a yard, going to watch more. Did you create all the Work Order paperwork yourself or do you use JMRI operations or other software package. Do have any more information on how you created the operation plan for the layout?
Thanks! I created it myself in WORD. I base my paperwork off the real thing. I will definitely get into more on the operating plan for the new layout as it progresses so stay tuned and thanks for watching! Tim
Absolutely beautiful layout, been watching for a long time now, really appreciate the effort you have put into this setup, loving ya channel love the whole deal my friend cheers 🍻🍻🍻🍻 KC Cradle Mountain Tasmania Australia 🇦🇺🇦🇺🤝🇺🇸🇺🇸😎🙂👍
Sweet video! I was looking at the air hoses between some of your freight cars, it looked like they were actually connected. Do you have those type of air hoses that have the little tiny magnets on them? I remember a company out there that made them, just can't remember the name of the company.
Thanks Jeff! Yes some of my fleet are equipped with magnetic air hoses. Eventually I will get around to doing the whole lot. They are made by a Canadian company called North American Railcar and you can get them from PWRS. They work better when the cars have been weighted down over the NMRA recommended weight. Tim
I enjoyed part 3 of Train 553. I was wondering when you were going to pull the flag off of the last car, as soon as it would not couple I knew the issue. On the prototype, when would the crew pull the EOT or flag off of the last car? As always, great video and lots of prototype information.-Tom
Thanks Tom! Yeah that one slipped by me. Guess if I was the HO scale figure on the ground I would have seen it. Prototype Conductors would have removed the flag or the EOT at the switch or by an EOT rack.
Tomas sorry about the crack I made about your conductor. I didn’t pick up on the fact that he was already over on the Macon lead when you started to head back towards him in an earlier part of the video. I’m just not that observant am I. Once again sorry about claiming you left him behind given he was already in position waiting waiting waiting for you to arrive. LOL :)
Another great video, and as always superb modeling. I learn so much about real railroading from your videos and the commentary. Thank you so much!
Thanks! Glad you got something out of it. Tim
Brilliant Series, Very enjoyable, Thank you!

Amazing layout. Your attention to detail is simply incredible. I definitely rank you up with the elite modelers.
Wow! Thanks! That’s a great compliment.

Thanks Gene!
I totally agree. Every detail, even the weathering..... Whew! Beautiful? I'm a fan for sure.
@@calvincurtiss2490 it’s totally awesome!
Great job Tim on another switching video of your layout!
Thanks! I can’t wait to start switching on the new one.
Great job.
Thanks Robert!
Yep…enjoyed following train 553 as it worked on the SBC
Hopefully sometime this year I’ll do a new operations video showcasing some train movements out of Gadsden.
Thank you for another great video! I find your model railroad and the way to operate it to be very inspirational. Take care!
Thanks for watching! I appreciate it. Tim

Great job Tim .
Another great video thoroughly enjoy all the videos
Thanks Don!
Thanks Tim for sharing your knowledge!!! Will those cars go out
on the next NS thru freight or does
the SC build a train to the next
destination??
Thanks! They will go out on SC trains
Another great video of a spectacular layout
Thanks!
I love your videos and your layout!

Thanks! My backdrops are from Trackside Scenery. You can see more in some of my earlier videos where I talk about them. Great stuff! Tim

Wow! Did he get fined for that forgotten flag or did he have to buy the beans ? Fantastic as always . Take care and be safe.
He probably got flogged by the engineer. Haha!
@@SeaboardCentral should have done a stress test on him. LOL 😆

Thanks Mate! :) keep watching. The new layout is starting to take shape. It won’t be long before trains are running again.
Layout looks great for sure. Do you have a template you use for your work order? Thx!
Thanks! I just made one up in a Word Document based off of a prototype work order. Then I use it as a template.
@@SeaboardCentral would you be willing to share it? I'd pay you for it.
New video wahoo
Thanks! More videos on the way!
What were those 2 Bay open Hoppers used for? Sand, Gravel, Coal?
They are sand hoppers. You can see them loaded in one of the earlier videos.
I have a feeling that 38-2 loads a little quicker and is beating up the engineer
It is a straight 38 and yes they do load faster than the Dash 2 models in real life as well.
@@SeaboardCentral My bad, it is a straight 38. Don’t know where I got the Dash 2 from, TAG never had any and I should know better. Haha
👍👽
Thanks for the Like. A new operations video will be coming out soon. Tim
Why leave your conductor behind after the last cut of Macon cars? Was it a long walk for him?
Lol. That was a utility brakeman. He had a ride. :)
@@SeaboardCentral lol

What kind of loco is the sc unit.
Athearn Genesis GP40-2 that has a LokSound decoder added to it.
Fantastic layout. But the ops are brilliantly prototypical. Only an experienced railroader could infuse this much authenticity into operations.
Thank you very much!

It’s Tim and no problem! Hopefully soon I will have some all new operations videos out. The new layout is starting to take shape.
A great end to a great series as your GP’s get a well-deserved R&R 👍
Thanks! Stay tuned. It won’t be long before they are back in action.
