As of October 29, there are 118 RipCurrent S bikes in stock ready to ship, 200 more bikes coming at the end of November. If it allows you to “add to cart” that bike is in stock and will ship within the week. Happy riding and let us know how you like your Juiced e-bike.
Hello RV r's , I took advantage of your Liz 100 discount and recieved my Ripcurrent S about a month ago. After putting all the accessories on it from Juice and Amazon...I hit the road. Having 200 miles on it now...I am servicing the basic gears, nuts and bolts, and getting a grasp on how everything works. I have to say they had the black extra large in stock and had it at my door about 6 days from ordering it. I live across the country in Florida also. Good job! I'm 71 year young and it's nice I can renew a life long hobby (biking) again. Since I've been out and about I have fell in love with this bike. I really don't know why I haven't gotten it sooner. With your background, Paul, in electronics and your advice about making sure first and foremost to get the best battery manufacturer you can afford....was a great help Paul. Reviewing Juice and the ceo who lived in Holland for 6 years and got the e bike bug (seeing bikes are KING in Holland....and his hands on manufacturing of the battery packs) prior to recreational e bikes he manufactured mules (E- bike cargo carriers) for warehouses has given him a leg up on all the competition. All that experience has been put together on these e-bikes. Thanks again Paul and Liz for your knowledge and advice...GREAT BIKE!!!!! Ray from Tampa, Florida
Awesome review, Ray!!! We are very pleased with Juiced and how well-run the company is. We look forward to being in your neck of the woods someday so we can get in a ride together. Thanks again for your comment and happy riding!
This bike looks like the most Amazing gift for my husband who is retiring this week after shoeing horses for 40 years! Starting our full time RV travel life and love your videos because you are relatable to our age and lifestyle. Thanks for this video!
You two are absolutely adorable!! I was intimidated when my RCS arrived but your review definitely brought some reassurance! Thank you! Happy Travels!!
We have the Juiced Scorpion moped style ebikes. Perfect for us older folks. Low to the ground and easy to ride. Lots of power and lots of range. Very bright and large head light and big tail light too. Front and rear suspension. Super fun to ride. We get so many compliments every time we ride.
Just wanted to let you know that we found your bike videos VERY helpful, and wound up buying 2 Juiced bikes last month (CrossCurrent X and RipCurrent S), and used the LIZ100 discount code for each. Your video about Ebike Tips was really informative, and told us what we needed to know when researching what Ebikes to buy. Thanks to your videos (and the fact that we are local to Juiced), we went with them. Both bikes shipped quickly (received 3 days after ordering), and were exactly as expected. We've put hundreds of miles on them since we got them, and love riding them more than we expected. Also, they get looks and comments wherever we ride them! Thanks for turning us onto Juiced, and saving us some money!
Hi Scott! Thanks so much for comment!! We plan to visit Juiced in the next couple months to meet the folks there that have been so helpful. In that case, we may just see you on the bike trail while we are in the area. Happy riding to you!!!
Yay! Juiced currently has a Black Friday sale going on with up to $800 off PLUS you can still use LIZ100 to save $100 or LIZ250 to save $250 if buying two bikes. Happy riding and hope to see you on the bike trail!
Love the review on the Rip Current S. My wife and I have them and they are awesome. I’ve put just over 500 miles so far. We use the Swagman rack you showed on our 5th wheel with the duel ebike cover and it is solid. One thing you might consider checking out is the Sena R1 cycling helmet. They have a built in intercom which is really nice, and safe. Allows us to ride and talk without taking our eyes off the road or put headphones over our ears. Didn’t realize just how much we would enjoy them until we got out on some nice 20+ mile rides.
Well darn-it! We just bought walkie talkies that have an ear piece option. We needed them anyway for help with parking our camper. But it's certainly good to know about those helmets. We hope to see you on the bike trail! And if you are interested in the walkie talkies, we talk about them here and include links: th-cam.com/video/c8lNzymFsKA/w-d-xo.html
Liz, love your videos. I also have a Rip Current S that I purchased almost a year ago. The bike never operated quite right, and being my first bike didn't really recognize the problem. Contacted Juiced, made an appointment to drop off in Chula Vista and spent the night in my Ekko at the Metro KOA in Chula Vista. Juiced got my bike working as new and can't believe the improved performance. Faulty petal sensor. Juiced is awesome and would highly recommend their bikes. Also the KOA Metro in Chula Vista on second avenue is very nice. Cheers RS
I am an early Juiced Rip Current S owner from back in 2018. I actually have the fifth one ever made. There's a lot to know about the RCS compared to other fat Ebikes out there, but to sum it up quickly, I would say that the Juiced Rip Current is more of an "open palette" ebike than most other ebikes. Besides a simple speedometer and battery level meter, the LCD screen also gives you a secondary screen that shows metrics that you don't normally get on other E bikes, from watt hours and amp hours being used (in real time) to showing you the temperature of the ECU. The bike also has features like cruise control, walk mode, a cadence and torque sensor and a TAB feature (Throttle Assist Boost) which simply put, gives you over 1000 watts of direct power for quick starts off the line, (like at a busy intersection)- it's just amazing how fast this big bike can move. These are things you don't get in other popular fat ebikes like the Rad Rover or Himiway. Although it sounds complex, none of these features have to be used if you don't ever want to, but if you like the technical side of things, it's all there for you. Upgrades are also easy to do, like on my bike, I have an upgraded drive chain, pedals, carbon fiber bar, front hydraulic brake, suspension seatpost, an upgaded front suspension fork and headset, a cushy saddle and lots of little extras which I love adding to my bike. Again, none of that needs to be done, it's just something I enjoy doing. The best place to investigate ebikes is on EBR (Electric Bike Review) forums ( electricbikereview.com/ )which lets you see all the ebikes out there and allows you to talk to owners about them. If anyone wants to know more, just ask me.
Sure appreciate your comment! These are great features that you listed that we didn't include in our video. It's always a challenge trying to deliver the right amount of technical info without going too technical. Thanks again for listing them here. Hope to see you on the bike trail!
@@LizAmazing I think you guys did the exact right amount of detail in your video review. Most people will want to just hop on and go for a spin. The comment section is where the technical riders can find out the intricacies of the bike, so I gladly provide the hint of the magic of this awesome bike or where they can get a complete low-down on the bike from other owners. That's how it happened for me. I almost ended up with a Rad Rover, which is half the bike in my opinion. Luckily, I got steered over to Juiced. Thanks for replying.
To the larger fellas out there, yes the RipCurrent comes in an XL frame size. It now also has those riser handlebars making reach adjustments a non-issue. At 6'7" I found the XL RipCurrent S to feel a lot less jammed up compared to riding other standard frame bikes. The rest of the bike is great too. I am not disappointed at all and am in fact loving it.
Wow! Thanks so much for taking the time to comment! Paul and are glad to hear that a 6'7" person can be comfortable on the RipCurrent S. We look forward to seeing you out there on the bike trail!
@@LizAmazing I'll be retiring quite soon this December so I do hope to see you two on the bike trail some day! Looking forward to some long stints in a high roof cargo van conversion and biking quite a few scenic areas. Back regarding my RipCurrent-S, I did swap out the front inside chain guard to a 39-tooth sprocket. That helped a lot as right now I mostly use the bike for a quick exercise lap. ....with assist at Zero, or Eco mode elsewhere. Ironic I buy this fat-tire eBike for all its capability but have put half the miles on it from a short exercise lap that is an uphill workout. My current complaint is simply not getting to ride it often enough (I don't commute with it). I hope to use it on quite a variety of gravel roads, trails as well as blacktop and waterfront boardwalks. Good times!
Haha - so Jason likes Paul’s shirt because it’s blue and yellow (Go Michigan!) and Dellynn likes Liz’s shirt because it’s cute!! 😃 Wow - 75lbs we did not know how heavy those were! Still worth the weight, especially to be able to get out there and explore in that way. The fat tires look really versatile and would most likely fit our needs as adventurers!! (Was that Moab we saw 😉)
Hi guys! Yes, the RipCurrent is a good fit for RV life as there is so much trail-riding in campgrounds and when boondocking. If we can carry four e-bikes with us, I guess you could do the same- lol! Moab!!! Looking forward to meeting you soon!!!
Great review! I was torn between the CCX and the RCS, went with the RCS and loving it. Just hit 900 miles and aside the occasional double shift (maybe a little cable stretch) no issues. My battery used to always charge to 57.9V. Here lately it’s been 57.8 or 57.7, but I am still very happy with my RCS. For the price I still haven’t seen anything close to it.
Thank you for this great review. Because you are an avid cyclist, I value your input. I own a 2008 A2b made by ultra motors. This bike has Quality components and despite me riding the crap out of it, it really has lasted with minimal upkeep. Sadly, it is near the end of it’s life now and I have been researching A replacement. I am not looking for cheap, as they are disposable. You get what you pay for when it comes to bicycles😃
I think you will be very happy with a Juiced. Paul has over 1600 miles on his CrossCurrent and finds it needs minimal maintenance. Mainly he just services the chain every few hundred miles. Happy riding!
I so need one of those bikes. Im a big girl and those tires would be perfect. Been considering one of these as i have back, hip and knee issues but love riding a bike.
Hi guys...like your information...very 👍 good...you guys look great...you can tell that it keeps you fit...Paul...you are always ❤ going to be waiting on a lady...they are worthy..I told Jeanne when I pass..for her to take her time..I will be at the gates waiting 😇💝...take care guys...J&A
Awww, thanks so much for your sweet comment! Paul says: story of my life. :-D And we just bought headsets that will allow us to communicate while riding. Stay tuned!
E-bikes are the Perfect match with RV living! A little pricey but Space And Weight should be Acceptable. Hope they have an open Showroom as I'm in San Diego !
Yes E-bikes certainly are the perfect fit for RV life- and guaranteed smile-makers! Unfortunately Juiced showroom is closed due to Covid. They do have bikes in stock and you should receive yours in less than a week.
and thanks again. It gets me charged up about the e bikes. I have researched a fair amount. I am Canadian and we live next a River Valley full of bike trails. Here they allow mid motor bikes with no throttle and no bigger then 500 Watts so I am kind of confined to that. The fold up bike info. etc was very informative. Juiced looks like an incredible bike but perhaps a little to juiced at 750 and rear hub motor then what I may be allowed sad to say. We are R.V. era as well. I am very interested in your front truck holder though as I need some space to put our bikes.. thank you.
Thank you! We are very happy with Juiced. Paul has probably 2000 miles by now on his CrossCurrent X. Here's our video about his bike: th-cam.com/video/5X6C1oCxPUg/w-d-xo.html
Thanks Paul...It's in now. Everything looks good except the rear tailing. Theres a button on the top that I hold down but it does not react. any thoughts?
Just received my Rip Current S. I put it together, had the battery charged went to test it and nothing happened. I noticed the Fuse Tabs at the bottom of the Battery. They look like they could be loose. Not sure if that's a good spot for Fuses. I will call Juiced tomorrow for assistance.
Paul says you might not have the battery all the way in. When you put it back in it seems like it stops but it's not all the way in. There should be no gap between the frame and the battery when it's all the way inserted. Let us know.
Thanks very much for the great review! I’ve been riding a hybrid bike for several years and have lately been trying to decide between the RipCurrent S and the CrossCurrent X. I was wondering what you thought of the fat tires on the RipCurrent X for road use. Is there a lot of vibration or road noise with those fat tires? I will be doing an equal amount of groomed trail riding and street riding, so I don’t need fat tires, but the fat tires would help me to go places I haven’t been able to go in the past. More importantly, I don’t want to make the street riding miserable with a lot of vibration or noise. I’m still unsure if the road experience will suffer as a tradeoff? Thanks for your comments.
Hi Rick. Great question since we have had both the RipCurrent S and the Cross Current X. Some tire noise but almost not worth mentioning. No vibration. The main thing we noticed was the increased rolling resistance on the street, which you pay for in more effort to go the same speed as the CrossCurrent. However, if you are going to do groomed trails, or maybe some trails you've spotted but never done before, you will appreciate the fat tires. If you are going to carry it on a rack, the ten pound weight difference may make you choose the lighter CrossCurrent X. To sum up, if the thought of exploring trails and even riding on sand or gravel most excites you, then the RipCurrent S is the answer. If you are most excited about being quicker and more nimble on the streets, then the CrossCurrent X is the answer. Thanks for asking. I do love my bike but Paul had to make significant modifications to make it rideable. Both Luna bikes we purchased arrived with the top gear locked out. Top speed only 15mph. Paul adjusted it and it would go 18. It has just a 32 tooth front sprocket and he replaced that with a 42. Now it will go 23 mph. However, the chain pops in high gear. Paul thinks that's why they locked out that gear, because there is too much torque. But I live in high gear when I am on flats. We both thought the chain was going to break one day due to the popping, and sure enough it did after nine months of use. On top of that, Luna's customer service has been non-existent. They have been difficult to work with and so we just don't feel comfortable recommending them. Also, the display screen cannot be read while on the bike. I have to get off and cup my hands around it to see how much battery I have left and how far I have ridden. Let us know if you find anything in an e-mountain bike. Thanks!
Hi Liz and Paul I recently discovered your channel and really enjoying it. I am and RV'er, and a fairly new Juiced Rip current S owner. Your review was a factor in my decision to go with the Juiced Rip Current S. I am around Paul's age I will be 72 this September and have a number of health issues which has limited my biking walking hiking. However since getting the Rip Current I am like a kid at Christmas, I look for excuses to ride it. So far it is a great bike. I have 1 question have you had any problems with water moisture issues. I currently live in So. Cal. so it is dry as a bone here, but you mentioned you ride in the rain, and also travel in the rain. Do you take any special precautions or have any problems with the electronics?
Hi Larry! So glad you are enjoying our channel, thanks for your kind words. We try to keep the bikes covered on the back of our rig, but we have had them in the rain while traveling, and while biking. No issues. We are riding our Rip Current S bikes on a 335 mile ride this week! They got caught in the rain outside. We could not cover them or take them in the hotel. The batteries were not in as we were charging them. Paul put some silicon (like WD40) on the connectors and that was it. Hope to see you in a campground someday. Happy riding!
I still have my Rip Current S and still loving it. If I was doing this over I would probably strongly consider getting the step thru Rip Current S. I have 2 replacement knees, and a bad back and hips, so swinging my leg over the bike is not as easy as in my youth.
Thank you for the review, this was very helpful. During the video portion while you were gradually increasing speed (starting about 4:09) it sounds like the bike gets extremely noisy above about 18 MPH. Is it as noisy as it sounds, or is it the microphone location making it sound loud? Is the noise from the tires or the motor?
I (Paul) just watched the video again and honestly don't remember being aware of the noise. I would say it's more the mic than anything you would notice riding. Thanks for asking!
You guys have some great videos and very informative! I bought a total electric Chevy Bolt back in June, and so now I'm starting to think about electric bikes. Help me understand the major advantage of the fat tires. Because they make the mountain bike style ebikes as well. Are the fat tires mainly if you want to ride in sand, like on the beach? I could see going either way (mountain bike or fat tire) for trail riding, but just wanted to make sure I understood all the advantages of the fat tires. thanks!
Thanks for watching and commenting. We currently have both a full suspension mountain bike (Luna X1 Enduro) and a fat tire bike, the Rip Current S and I would say the main difference, besides the rear suspension, is the gearing. The Luna will climb pretty much anything you can get traction on, whereas the Rip Current has it's limitations. The lack of rear suspension on the Rip Current also makes it more difficult to get through really rough terrain. All that said, I still prefer the Rip because it's faster and will still go off road, in fact it's even more stable on the soft stuff, like the beach, than the Luna. We actually had a problem getting the beach footage because Liz wasn't able to rid next to me on her bike. What it comes down to is what you intend to do with the bike. If you want something to terrorize your local bike paths on with the occasional off road adventure then I'd suggest the Rip Current. If however you want a serious off road go anywhere bike, then I'd say the Luna or something like it would work better Hope that helps. P.
I've just purchased the RipCurrent S, thank you for the great review. I do have questions for you. It appears you are doing a little beach ridding, with all the laws and limitations in California, how are you able to stay within the law and know where it's legal to ride?
We just look for posted signs before entering a beach. If it's not posted, then we go ahead and ride. And congrats on your Rip! Hope to see you on the bike trail!
Hey Paul and Liz, great review on the Juiced bikes. Thinking about getting my wife an e-bike just so she can keep up with me (I don’t ride an e-bike yet)! 🤫. Quick question for you though...I have been riding with toe clips or clip less pedals for years and would not be without them especially at higher speeds like you showed in your review of 30mph. Do you ride with them on your e-bike(s)? Thanks...Ed
Hi Ed! Great question. Neither of us use clips although we both had them on our traditional bikes. Paul used toe clips and speedplay pedals over the years. He says he has thought about putting clips on his ebike but doesn't feel it is necessary. You don't need pedaling efficiency like you do with a traditional bike. Of course, it's a personal preference so you may prefer them. Happy riding and great idea for your wife to have an e-bike so you can go together.
How is that ebike rack holding up for you. I see on Amazon it has a max load capacity of 60lbs which you excide with your bikes and I also saw in the comments that using it on a travel trailer or 5th wheel cancels the warranty, Is this true? Getting ready to spend good $ and thought I'd ask you before I do.
You didn’t see our rack on Amazon. Ours is the Swagman E-Soec with 130 pound total capacity, designed especially for fifth wheels. Since we made this video the rack has been discontinued, sadly. I’ll remove the link because apparently Amazon is suggesting an inappropriate substitute. We also have a Rambo rack made for ebikes. We bought it in a sporting goods store. Thanks for your comment!
I just looked at the link and this is a very similar rack. It has a 120 pound capacity (60lbs per bike). I didn’t see if it is or is not fifth wheel approved.
@@LizAmazing I see the 60 pound per bike but when I type 5th wheel into Q&A in product description I get this: Q: Does the swagman Current work with a 25' trailer with a hitch? A: No, it is not approved for use behind ANY travel trailer or 5th wheel. We had to purchase a different Swagman rack that doesn’t tilt out for use on a vehicle with a hatch. And it is approved for use behind our 5th wheel. Hope that helps.
Ok. Good for you for checking. I wish they had not discontinued our rack. I will definitely remove the link so no one buys this thinking it is fifth wheel approved. Thank you!
Thought you might want to know- I ordered 2 upgraded chargers for the bikes in sept of 2023 and they have not come. We misplaced the stock cheaper ones and thought it would be nice to have an upgrade since we had to get new chargers anyway. They contacted me because I mentioned it in one of their ads on FB.. They said they would give us another upgrade and send them out and customer service would contact me. That was exactly one month ago. No chargers and nothing sent. When I contact them on the messenger they used I no longer get a person, just an automated message promising to contact me but they don't. I can probably buy generic chargers on amazon but am VERY disappointed in Juiced considering they took the money right away on paypal, and still have not done anything.
Hey there! Just viewed this video as we are interested in E bikes. Do you have a new code? This one for two bikes isn't working. Let me know. Thanks Janice
Oh darn it. Unfortunately Juiced expired that code. You can use AMAZING50 to save $50 or see if they are running any specials for buying two. They are super nice bikes. Also check out the new Step Thru version. We did a video about them here: th-cam.com/video/zo18_oAaD7c/w-d-xo.html
Loved your video on Juiced bikes. We are seriously considering them. Two questions, just for fit. Paul would you might sharing your height? What size is your red bike? Thank you. My wife is 5’ 7” and I am 5’ 10”. In your opinion, Would the Medium frame work for both of us? Thanks...
Paul is 5' 7 and I am 5'8. Your wife for sure is a medium and you are right at the cusp of medium or large. Measure your inseam and then use this chart from Juiced to see which one is right for you. It will depend on how much of your height is in your legs but most likely you will want the large. Look at the "Size and Fit" on this page: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08FJ3VC1X
Since you have had the Ripcurrent S for some time now and have put on miles, how does the hub drive do on hills. The negative I hear about hub drives is when climbing hills. I live in AZ and would mostly do more remote fire roads and occasional mtn bike trails in the areas we go camping but I'm not into extreme trails or jumping. However many of these fire roads would include some steep uphill sections. If I get a hub drive I'm leaning toward the Ripcurrent S. Do you have any experiences with any MidDrives as a comparison?
MidDrives are definitely better on hills and we do have a mid drive. If you are going to do a lot of steep hills, get something with a mid drive and the lighter the better. Otherwise, the RipCurrent S is a good trail bike.
The link for the lock in the links is unavailable. I’m riding a Trek Verve+ ebike. I love riding this bike. Pedal Assist only. I’m riding the Florida Keys with it next week. Looking forward to conquering the “hills” on the Channel 5 and Seven Mile bridges.
I found a better one that is available, here it is: amzn.to/3kIhteE I've heard good things about the Trek Verve-- enjoy your ride in the keys. I hope you can video it. I LOVE Seven Mile Bridge!!!
I have a question: I’m 63, and would love to buy an E-bike. Just as importantly, I would like to investigate whether my almost 26 year old daughter could ride, too. She’s never had the opportunity to ride a bike (though she drives her car magnificently!) She was born with a birth anomaly…she is missing her right leg at the knee. She has astounding balance. Liz (or anyone else that has a similar situation)…any ideas?
Hi Linda! I would think she would want to ride a bike with training wheels first, just like we all did. That will give everyone peace of mind in her abilities. Keep me posted and happy riding!
Medium. That's what i have and I am 5'8 as well. Right now it's $200 off PLUS you can save another $50 with this link: 🚴 🚴 SAVE $$$ on any JUICED E-BIKE. Use this link to get the LOWEST POSSIBLE PRICE: alnk.to/58jAjud Use AMAZING50 to save $50. Happy riding, John!
If you don't mind me asking the gentleman, what is your inseam? I am a short dude and my inseam is just a touch over 30 inches with my shoes on. I want to be able to stand over the bike when stopped without racking myself. :)
Paul’s inseam is 30 inches and had the medium bike. However, we both like the new Step Thru better, check it out: Ebike Review: Incredible range and speed - RipCurrent Step Thru Electric Bike | Fulltime RV Living th-cam.com/video/zo18_oAaD7c/w-d-xo.html
The CCX is more nimble, lighter and will go faster. The RCS is more comfortable and more versatile. They both have the same power. The rip current is basically just a fat tire version of the crosscurrent. The Rip is a more upright position. Commuting or in a hurry = CrossCurrent. Exploring and trail riding = RipCurrent.
Here’s the one I bought. I use it as an additional lock on the bike rack. Kryptonite Keeper 785 Integrated Bicycle Lock Chain Bike Lock, 33.5-Inch, Black www.amazon.com/dp/B005YPK7V8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_2zlNFb35XN1X1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Im very interested in ebikes but im leery of the bike getting stolen OR components of the bike getting stolen even if the frame is chained to something solid.do u thread the chain through the wheels? what about the battery? i see it can b removed from the bike. can it b locked onto the frame? and i wd b interested in putting some type of stacking wire cage on the rear carrier in order to transport groceries; like say 4 full bags of groceries. the wire cage wd have to be welded onto the back to prevent theft and each 1 ft sq cage to have a door and a lock; just like a locker. but i dont see any ebike offshoot place offering that...and that wd be 80% of the reason that i wd get one is to get grocs...hmmm...
Hi Lauren! The bike and/or components would likely not get stolen in broad daylight in front of the grocery story. We just put the hardened chain through the frame, not the wheels. We leave ours out at night in campgrounds. If you have a garage or some place to put them out of sight overnight, that would be better. The hardened chain steel lock we mention comes in smaller sizes as that would be too big (6 feet) and heavy to lug with you. You can remove the battery BUT you need a key to take it out so no worries there about leaving it with the bike while at the market. I see people attach a milk crate to the cargo rack. Not something I think people would steal. Don't know how to attach one, maybe industrial zip ties??? Good for you for thinking of all the possibilities with an ebike. Other than the weight, we really see no downsides. I think the Juiced CrossCurrent would be a good one for you if you are using it for grocery runs. Think of the gas you would save! And it would make grocery shopping fun. Four full bags would likely not fit so you would just go more often. More fun!
@@LizAmazing theres an interesting video called How to Food shop with an ebike which shows a curved base frame trailer under an upright square wire open box in which one puts quite a lot of grocs; but apparently the guy BUILT it so it cannot be bought somewhere? hmmm the wire box has a stretchy meshy net on the top not a closing wire lid but one can add one then b able to lock it im sure.
@@Lauren-vd4qe That makes me think of those toddler trailers- those would carry four bags of groceries. I am pretty sure they are compatible with the Juiced CrossCurrent bc someone asked about those on our video. Still, I would double-check.
I carry our current bikes (not E-Bikes) on the front of our truck like you. We will be getting E- Bikes soon. My question to Yall do you have any concern about water and dirt on you E-Bike being on the front of your truck. Thank You John
No. Hasn't been a problem and we've traveled a couple thousand miles with them like that. Paul's biggest concern was truck engine overheating, but that has not been an issue either. Congrats on getting e-bikes! Hope to see you on a bike trail someday!
Your best bet would be to call your local bike shop, but I really don't think you'd have any issues finding someone. And, these rarely need servicing. Just keep your chain lubed and we recommend Slime in the tires to make them more resistant to punctures.
Sure any e bike dealer can service it. To tell you the truth, before I received mine I was gunshy about the same thing but, familiarizing myself with the unit and anything you want to know is on youtube....it's pretty easy to find your way around the bike and it's components. Like anything new....until you get to use it and know it a little...puts one at ease.
I just read a review on reddit regarding juiced. Man was so upset with customer service and quality of bike that he was going to get credit card company to go after them. Reddit ebike group. Just read it today.
Thank you. How old was that post? Juiced got overwhelmed with orders at the start of the pandemic, like all ebike and regular bike companies. We have heard for the last six months they have enough inventory and are shipping them out the door ASAP. We also like that they will actually tell you on their site if a bike is in stock or not. We've heard some stories of other ebike companies taking your money and THEN telling you it will be months before you see your bike.
Hi U-2 ....Liz.. How did you like the RipCurrent compared to your Luna ebike ? You Guys are so right about the EBIKE shortage right now with the covid deal thanks now .
Hi John! The Luna is a much more powerful bike, but after a few months of ownership, I found that owning a high-performance bicycle is a lot of work. Have to replace the chain ring every few hundred miles. I would not buy the Luna again. But I am keeping it (for now). I want to be able to lift my bike by myself and unfortunately I can't lift the RipCurrent, which is 65 pounds without the battery.
We have found them to not be so helpful, unfortunately. Paul had to switch out the chain ring in the first place. We both think that chain is going to break one day due to the popping. Thanks!

LIZ100 worked. I just purchased Ripcurrent S on Nov 25, 2020 thanks for the coupon. Juiced was offering $50 but your code was better. Bike arrives today cant wait.
Thanks so much for letting us know. Congrats on your new wheels! What color? How exciting!! We hope to see you on the bike trail someday soon- how cool would that be???
Hi Guys, Can you fill us in on how you keep your ebikes safe from weather while you are traveling. I know water is the enemy for these types of bikes. Thanks!
Our bikes do get rained on if there is wet weather during travel days. Otherwise they are usually under the overhang on our fifth wheel. We recommend a cover (protects from theft, too!). Also, Juiced is having Black Friday deals- save up to $800 off certain Juiced bikes AND you can still use LIZ100 on top of that to save $100 and LIZ250 if buying two bikes to save $250. Happy riding to you!

Hi Anne-Therese! Congrats on your new life beginning soooooon!!! You are entered- good luck and thank you!
You two are absolutely adorable!! I was intimidated when my RCS arrived but your review definitely brought some reassurance! Thank you! Happy Travels!!
Yay, glad to hear this, Grace! Hope to see you on the bike trail and enjoy that awesome bike
We have the Juiced Scorpion moped style ebikes. Perfect for us older folks. Low to the ground and easy to ride. Lots of power and lots of range. Very bright and large head light and big tail light too. Front and rear suspension. Super fun to ride. We get so many compliments every time we ride.
Sounds awesome! We love Juiced and all the different ebikes they offer. Hope to see you on the bike trail!

Finally someone who answered all my questions
Liz, love your videos. I also have a Rip Current S that I purchased almost a year ago. The bike never operated quite right, and being my first bike didn't really recognize the problem. Contacted Juiced, made an appointment to drop off in Chula Vista and spent the night in my Ekko at the Metro KOA in Chula Vista. Juiced got my bike working as new and can't believe the improved performance. Faulty petal sensor. Juiced is awesome and would highly recommend their bikes. Also the KOA Metro in Chula Vista on second avenue is very nice. Cheers RS
Wow, so glad this worked out in the end, Ray! Looking forward to seeing you on the bike trail. Enjoy your Juiced!
Wow - 75lbs we did not know how heavy those were!

I've been researching e bikes quite a lot. This one was very informative and easy to follow.. Like the information on the fold up bikes. Thankyou.
You are so welcome! Thanks for your comment!
That's great to hear, John! 900 miles- yay! Hope to see you on the bike trail! Ride on!
I'm 5'8" should I get the medium or the large rcs
Great review! The hardest decision to make is whether to buy the Crosscurrent or the Rip Current. I think it's a win either way 👍🏼

Thanks for watching and commenting. E-bikes really are a game-changer, aren't they? Hope to see you on the bike trail!
and thanks again. I am very interested in your front truck holder though as I need some space to put our bikes.. thank you.
So glad you found this video helpful. Sorry about that 500W restriction- bummer. Yes, we love our front hitch setup. Happy e-bike shopping to you!

Paul: You don't hold it down. You just push it and release it. Hope this helps!

Liz/Paul, are you going to review the LUNA X-1? If so, could you cover frame size selection also please? TY
Thanks!
Thanks for the review! I would love to have an E Bike!
They are so great! Juiced is doing a Black Friday Sale this weekend. Up to $800 off AND the LIZ100 will get you another $100 off!
@@LizAmazing Thanks enjoy you ride.
If however you want a serious off road go anywhere bike, then I'd say the Luna or something like it would work better
Hope that helps. P.
@@LizAmazing Thanks for the help!
Great Video Guy's !!
Hey there! Thanks so much! E-bikes are a real game changer. Have a great weekend.
@@LizAmazing I said she should have an e-bike so she can keep up with me on my traditional bike! Don’t tell her though! 🤫
Can put it in race mode to have a faster throttle only? Faster than 20 mph on throttle. Thank You!
Nope. The throttle will only take you to 20mph. Anything above that you're pedaling.
@@LizAmazing I see the 60 pound per bike but when I type 5th wheel into Q&A in product description I get this:
Q: Does the swagman Current work with a 25' trailer with a hitch?
Oh my goodness. Email me with details and I'll get this sorted out asap. So sorry. liz@lizamazing.com

Oh, and the red bike is a medium. It does seem like the large will the one for you.
@@LizAmazing thanks for the reply. Which middrive do you guys have? I've seen your reviews for the ripcurrent and crosscurrent x?

Happy riding, John!
If you don't mind me asking the gentleman, what is your inseam? I am a short dude and my inseam is just a touch over 30 inches with my shoes on. I want to be able to stand over the bike when stopped without racking myself. :)
Paul’s inseam is 30 inches and had the medium bike. However, we both like the new Step Thru better, check it out: Ebike Review: Incredible range and speed - RipCurrent Step Thru Electric Bike | Fulltime RV Living th-cam.com/video/zo18_oAaD7c/w-d-xo.html
Great review!
Thanks so much! We love the Juiced RipCurrent!
Yamee Fat Bike yes we would love it, please enter us !!
Please comment under the Yamee video so we can count it. I think it rolled over onto the next video.
I get about 20 miles on a fully charged battery and using about 50% motor.
That's awesome, hope you are enjoying your ebike. If you want a longer range you can get 60-70 miles with the Juiced. Happy riding!
Your Crosscurrent x vs the Ripcurrent s? Race, torque, comfort, capability.
@@LizAmazing awesome. Sounds about right. What size is your husband riding and how tall is he?
@@90slimit1 Paul is 5'7" and the RipCurrent is a medium. He has a 30" inseam. It's a great bike!!!
Here’s the one I bought. I use it as an additional lock on the bike rack.

Where are you guys located? Looks like SoCal. If so, what part? Great video by the way. I also have the S and love it
Yay! We love the RipCurrent S. This video was shot in Moab, Sedona, Huntington Beach and Idyllwild. We travel fulltime.
I carry our current bikes (not E-Bikes) on the front of our truck like you.
We will be getting E- Bikes soon. My question to Yall do you have any concern about water and dirt on you E-Bike being on the front of your truck.
Thank You
John
No. Hasn't been a problem and we've traveled a couple thousand miles with them like that. Paul's biggest concern was truck engine overheating, but that has not been an issue either. Congrats on getting e-bikes! Hope to see you on a bike trail someday!
@@LizAmazing Thanks for your reply I have traveled several thousand miles with my truck pulling our 5th wheel without any overheating problems.
That's great. Our truck is happy with no issues with that either. Hope to see you on the road!
Great bike, my concern is I live in Ontario Canada 🇨🇦 so I wonder if I could/would get it serviced here from a non supportive dealer.
@@LizAmazing thank you.
@@raymondbraat4694 thank you.
@@LizAmazing Have you reached out to Luna and see if they will replace the chain ring i have heard there customer service is pretty good ? Or knot...
We have found them to not be so helpful, unfortunately. Paul had to switch out the chain ring in the first place.
We both think that chain is going to break one day due to the popping. Thanks!
@@LizAmazing Thanks for the reply sorry to hear that about Luna, i will be waiting on the Surface 604 ROOK ebike you might want to look at there shred Mountain they will be coming out with 5 new models in 2021
@@johngoodwyn8246 I will definitely check that out- thanks!
@@LizAmazing I just bought two cross current X bikes and love them...thinking about getting the fat tire ripcurrent s now!
@@galivaning958 Juiced is having a Black Friday Sale and you can save up to $800. PLUS an extra $100 for one, and 250 for two just by using LIZ100 or LIZ250 at checkout. Enjoy your new bikes!
Let us know, did you end up buying a RipCurrent? How do you like it?
Great video and tons of info. Would like to see you change the title to RipCurrent S, I was looking for a review on just the RipCurrent..
The difference between the RipCurrent and RipCurrent S is just the battery. So the review applies to both versions. The S will have more range.
Nice information
Thanks so much. E-bikes are a game-changer for sure!
Code isn't working 😪
You're right. The code is valid so there must be a glitch. I will reach out and get it fixed for you. Thanks for letting us know.
They will have it fixed tomorrow morning, so sorry
I was like”RIP current ebike?” There’s something new?
lol, as in Rest in Peace my current bike? We do think e-bikes are total game-changers! Hope to see you on the trail!
