LYRICS
A fool in love
A crazy situation
Her velvet glove
Knocks me down and down and down and down
Her kiss of fire
A loaded invitation
Inside her smile
She takes me down and down and down and down
Her moves look good
A touch of desperation
From where I stood
She turned my head around, round and round
It comes kinda hard
When I hear your voice on the radio
(When I hear your voice on the radio)
Taking me back down the road that leads back to you
Oh, oh, oh
29 Palms
I feel the heat of your desert heart
(Feel the heat of your desert heart)
Taking me back down the road that leads back to you
Oh, I'm burning in love
Oh, strange infatuation
Why a cold, cold touch
Mm, what must I do and do and do and do?
The heat and the dust
Increase my desolation
In God we trust
Always for you and you and you and you
It comes kinda hard
When I hear your voice on the radio
(When I hear your voice on the radio)
Leading me back down the road that leads back to you
Oh, oh, oh
29 Palms
I feel the heat of your desert heart
(Feel the heat of your desert heart)
Leading me back down the road that leads back to you
Baby, now it comes kinda hard
When I hear your voice on the radio
(When I hear your voice on the radio)
Leading me back down the road that leads back to you
Oh, don't you hear me, baby, now?
29 Palms
I feel the heat of your desert heart
(Feel the heat of your desert heart)
Leading me back down the road that leads back to you, you, you, yeah, yeah
I'm comin' home
Uh-huh
Gonna get there, gonna get there
Don't ya know, baby?
It comes kinda hard
I said, when I hear your voice on the radio
Leading me back down, down the road
That leads back to
29 Palms

Yes
Love you, Bobby..
Rober Plant, one of the greatest singer of all time. This song is pure class.
Yes I agree with you okay
I was a Marine stationed at 29 Palms when this song came out. The radio station played it endlessly and we enjoyed every minute of it. So many years have passed and now when I hear the chorus "29 Palms, I feel the heat of your desert heart" it brings back so many memories. Memories of my buddies I served with, the bars and drinking every night, chasing women in Palm Springs, trips to Lake Havasu and renting house boats on Lake Mead. The training in that desert heat with my buddies. It sucked, but we suffered together and that's what makes the memories so special. I miss all of it....and the heat
Semper Fi. Was there 81-82 and 87-88. Remember walking guard duty and looking at the distant lights twinkling. Many memories.
Was just in 29 Palms again. And love listening to this every time I am in the area.❤
7th MEB. Was in the unit. I was at the Stumps in 1990 for comm school. 7th MEB had it rough being stationed there.
Semper Fi 🇺🇸
My son’s a brother in arms❤
Semper Fi. I was in the Marine Corps as well when this song came out and traveled to 29 Palms on more than one occasion.
Мне 55,в молодости много прекрасной музыки мы слушали и эта вещь не исключение.
I met Robert Plant in the mid 80's at a small coastal California town. He was but himself on a long drive from LA. One of the coolest icons ever. The real deal! Rock on Robert!
My dad's favorite song! RIP Dad!🤘🤘🤘
I believe my son is free. ❤
Who could possibly not like Robert Plant? He's a legend. I love that he showed a picture of Elvis, who Robert did meet.
The 951 people who disliked this have no ear for music ; how can yo dislike this great song
Tottaly agree, must be tone deaf.its a wonderful tune.
Really, I feel sorry for them who dislike this great music, fucking wackos ... I feel sorry for them. Fucking degenerates, low life..
You have no idea how right your statement is awsome Girl you have great taste
Have you met any teenagers lately? “This song needs to be remixed by a rap artist to make it good.” “Musical instruments are stupid and they sound dumb in my ears.” “Rapping is way harder than playing a guitar, bass or drums.” “Seriously? Every rap tune is about stating how they’re the greatest, better than everyone else at rhyming words while portraying wealthy lifestyles.” “And a rappers best song is always a cover tune, zero originality. For example, what’s P Diddy’s best song? Exactly.
Love love x

I just love this song, first time I heard! Thank you Robert Plant!!!!❤❤❤
What a beautiful song. The rhythm, the music, the perfect voice. A song for all time.
KOCHAM ROBERT PLANT
@@KrzysztofKaminski-zj5ce Thank you so much!
O meu forte hoje em dia é ouvir esses clássicos do rock , simplesmente maravilhosos. ❤
Definitely one of Plant’s best solo songs. I give him lots of credit for always evolving as a solo artist
His solo stuff from Pictures at Eleven to Fate Of Nations is untouchable.
So beautiful song
Будь здоров и счастлив Роберт ! Привет из Нижнего Новгорода !
What an ambassador for England Robert Plant and Led Zeppelin have been for 50+ years and Robert is still making music with the beautiful Alison Kraus.🎸🎸👍👍🏴🏴😁😁
Robert Plant🍃A Gentleman🎩A Legend💪🏻A Great Father👨👩👦A Great Human Being✌🏻👨🏻
We drove through 29 Palms, California last October, and of course I had to play this. ❤
Of course you did.....everyone does it..😊
30 years ago.. this song never gets old.. one of my favourite songs of all time.
Married my fourth wife at Indian cove camp ground, JTNP, 29 palms. With the rest of search and rescue in attendance. Played this song at our reception in Black Rock campground, JTNP. March 27th, 2010
Robert Plant wrote this song about my home town of 29 Palms California
Such an awful town from my four years of experience there lol
Hope you come out to our Hilltoppers Grand Prix every year.
I was at 29 Palms Marine Base in 1990. This song reminds me of a black hair, brown eye Mexican Beauty named Susan Matos
Nice. ....... 🤙
Музыка, голос Планта всё сошлось воедино❤Это прекрасно 👋👋👋
30 year old song that still sends chills up my spine.
Saw him in Austin, in 85. Took that place apart. Never realized his pipes in those days were freaking THUNDERING.
Plant really nailed the desert addiction. I crossed the Mojave for the first time in '08, fell in love with the desert. Been scheming to get back ever since.
I truly hope your schemes and dreams come true, and you end up where your 💙 and soul long to be. ☺
Once you have listened to this song, you will have to keep playing it a thousand times over.
Yes sir!
Yes 💗
True that... today till now I think 10 times!!!
I know. I'm playing it at least once-sometimes twice--every day.
1000% agree
Плант - величайший вокалист всех времён!!!
All the years listening to music through the 70's, 80's, 90's ...the baby boomers had the privileges of listening to music on vinyl , amplifiers, equalizers, midrange expanders .. music not coming from a cell phone ..
We had music that can't be matched ..except for Robert..
Dirán q estamos fuera de moda las personas q nos gusta la música de los 70s 8os.! Pero creo q era bonita música y existían excelentes grupos y solistas hombres y mujeres q le ponían amor a sus canciones ..!
@@juanjosebarrionhernandez9726hahaha..our music can't be matched , they can take a musical note or one or 2 verses but " No one " right here today ..can't write a tune " only a R/R band from our time can do it ..😊
Robert Plant's solo music touches my soul just as much as Led Zeppelin! Thanks for a lifetime of joy in music Robert Plant!

So true. Masterpiece.
It's got a certain human touch to it doesn't it? This is what it means to be human... aliens take notes!
plant soli is better than LZ
God I love the bass line in this song, this era of plant was "driving" music
This was Robert's first solo album that I've bought and I still think the whole record is brilliant.
Ciao...da...by...gio..sss..primo..end...robert..plant...ciaooo..
For those of you who don't know, 29 Palms is really a small town in southern California.
Good somg, but the lirics doesn't make sense untill now. Thank you !
@@dragosmarinescu5520 Also the movie "29 Palms" was filmed there and released back in 2002.
Heh...yeah and a HUGE base for desert training. Been there, done that
Really small town, yet MCAGCC Twentynine Palms is one of the largest bases in existence.
My god! I can't believe this golden nugget is nearly 30 years old! Still sounds as fresh as it did buying it on CD single back in '93. Great track.
Neither can I, from young guy to mid century here lol

Hi I Recommend an indie song that's called 'The Bond Villain' By Robert Nix
I think this entire album (Fate of Nations) is one of his best.
I'm with you . . . . . .
Haa , I just visited 29 palms yesterday and hear this song for the 1st time tonite, awesome place there and nice song .
I'm 54 and I still love listening too Robert plant music because I still like Led Zeppelin music
One of Plants BEST solo projects.
This song stands the test of time. I heard it for the first time in 93, but it could be released in 2022 and still sound fresh. That's pretty rare.
Not really. If it got released today, it would get buried under all the garbage music. This song is way to good to be a hit today.
Right, good life.
Es que es atemporal esta obra maestra
Psalm 29, older the better.
8:55, in Jesus name.Amen and Van Halen
His best song
Robert Plant voice is a time machine
If there's anyone that doesn't like this song. I couldn't imagine what's going on in your head. One of the best songs ever.
I feel sorry for any woman to come across such a poet in real life….image him leaving? Life could never not ache again. 💔
Wonderful song and fantastic voice. The man with the best vocal in the world🏵🌹❤
He and Steve Perry's voice are my favorites
I've lived in 29 Palms all my life. Raised there, grew up there, worked there. And stumbling across music like this makes me feel like I'm home again.
This is a masterpiece. Robert Plant is such a great musician.
Great Singer and Frontman
He is from another planet
Robert isn't a musician per se...he's an accomplishment vocalist and song writer... who REALLY knows how to pick the musicians around him and can hear QUALITY music and how to carve out truly beautiful songs. Its usually what you learn to leave out that gets you to a memorable song/poem imo.
hell yes ... perhaps beyond brilliant ??? ... & timeless !!!
Eu amo essa música
Muchísimas felicidades en tú 75 cumpleaños, querido Robert.
Q sigas con los q te queremos muchos años más.
Mucha salud y fuerza.

Yes your right....I met him in Devon some years ago he was playing with a friend of mine. Had a private concert in my friends back garden with the full band. Spent the summer there he’s such a nice guy. Very unassuming and approachable. Made everyone at ease in his company also made us laugh ....a lot. Told some some stories that are not repeatable. A very genuine and great guy / superstar ! This is one of my favourite tracks .
Yes!!with David Bowie! 💫⚡⚡
@@markwaters7215 I love his answer when Howard Stern asked him about drugs and his final comment on drugs was they take your joy away (or something to that effect)
Never understood why this wasn't a mega hit when it came out... just brilliant!
It is about his relationship with Canadian singer Alhyn Miles who did the song Black Velvet, you can hear refrerence to her and the song.
Fuck it was on every hour on Detroit Rock Radio, WRIF and WIQB.

Good grief, in my head this is a "newer" Plant song, and it's 27 years old... Where have all the good times gone?
We are on the cusp of a new reality... Robert Plant still exists in this reality..
😞
Just the thought of it left me dazed and confused..
Perfectly put. I feel exactly the same way.

Mr . Plant is a great man. Love his style. And the band great orchestration.
I'm a 71-year old hard-core rock fan, and I've gotta say that rock music doesn't get any better than this! Thanks so much for posting this bit of aural genius!
Robert Young had to look up the word aural. got it
Can't beat a bit of aural sex
Same age, same thinking.
72 and ditto.
I live in 29 Palms, and that's how the locals spell it.
Robert Plants voice is so sexy and sensual. Bring me back to my youth, oh to be young again.❤️ Still young at heart at 64...
