I know that no one will ever read this but I need to say it. This album is PERFECT. And unlike other perfect albums, of which there are a few, this one sounds like it was really fun to make.
Can I just say this?? I am so jealous of Robert’s gorgeous curly hair!! He is so blessed haha!!! This video is so much fun and I love seeing these two together!!!
Their voices are perfectly matched and cause my blood to vibrate to the beat of their ethereal sound. I listen to at least one song from this album almost every morning.
To me this is what true and real musicians are about. These two are brilliant and so damn talented. It honestly gives me goosebumps listening to these two performers.
Saw Robert Plant at Merlefest in Wilkesboro, NC in 2011. Yes, the Rock God performed at one of the biggest Bluegrass festivals in the US. He's a humble guy. Gave credit to Ms. Krauss for teaching him a new way of singing. He also talked about his love of Americana, Appalachian music and how he choose THE best Bluegrass musicians to tour with him. I loved him even more.
They sound great together and what a fun video. Alison always sings beautifully. But Robert Plant is mesmerizing. Such a talented vocalist since the Led Zep days and he continues to put out music that makes me want to listen. There is something very intriguing about him that draws you in. He definitely has that rock star charisma.

It makes mention of that when it said that no U.S. tour dates have been scheduled saying one of the possible delays is that Robert and Alison are working on a new album together. Check out his website. Yep, I love them both! I will soon be 71 years old and started playing guitar when I was 12 years old. I grew up in the wilds of Kentucky and when there were festivals of any kind ( like Possum Day or whatever ) all the pickers would come out of the mountains to play. So when I started playing guitar, that's how I learned, by standing in front of them and watching what they were doing. Those old pickers were great. If it had strings they could play it! My favorite genre is Rock, but I love any music if it's good. By watching those guys way back then, I developed a picking style that most other Rock guitarists didn't do. That is, using a flat pick held between the thumb and 1st finger and then picking with the other fingers. Or simply not using any picks at all and just pure finger picking. But years later that style was discovered by other Rock guitarists like Jeff Beck among others.
Yes! They are working on another album together now. That is the reason why Robert Plant has not determined his tour dates for his concerts that have been rescheduled. Check it out on the website that has his tour dates posted That is where I read it. Thanks.

Well, the song is from '64 (some 60 years ago), but Plant & Krauss really bring it back to life like no one else could, brilliant idea for them to cover this. Page & Krauss are true talents, the musical chemistry they share is amazing for this & in general. This song once again heard a lot on the radio lol.

Been listening to Allison Krauss ever since she first started. Her voice has never changed. She's always sang like an angel to me. As the singer for the NITTY GRITTY DIRT BAND. said of her. Possibly the best female singers on the planet. He wasn't wrong. Plus she's never tried to act like she was better than anyone else. Simple and beautiful.
If you've ever seen Alison live, which I have been privileged to several times, she is self-admittedly a bit of a nerd in the body of a beautiful woman who happens to have the voice of an angel and is an incredible musician and performer, plus producer in the studio. Quite an enigma. Plant is a legend for good reason and I grew up loving Zeppelin with his brand of genius. And we get to see T-Bone taking a bow with that tasty solo, he is usually low key, behind the scenes so that's fun too. I knew this song and album but have never seen this music video until now, it's really great, thank you people who run Alison's YT Channel for posting this.
They are so cute together. Robert Plant is still so charming and so damn cute smiling all the time. Bad boy smiling. Allison Krauss is so talented. I can see why they won all those Grammys. This is an amazing collaboration. And they way they harmonize is very unusual. It's like each one is wrapping their voice around the others. It's very rich and blended in such a pleasurable way.

He's always had a very wide range of music that he loves.
This collaboration of Plant and Krauss proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that country/bluegrass and rock can share the same stage seamlessly.
It all comes from the same geographic area really. Country, skiffle, rockabilly, rock and roll, blues... it's different but intrinsically connected.

Quite an enigma. Plant is a legend for good reason and I grew up loving Zeppelin with his brand of genius. And we get to see T-Bone taking a bow with that tasty solo, he is usually low key, behind the scenes so that's fun too. I knew this song and album but have never seen this music video until now, it's really great, thank you people who run Alison's YT Channel for posting this.

They are so cute together. Robert Plant is still so charming and so damn cute smiling all the time. Bad boy smiling. Allison Krauss is so talented. I can see why they won all those Grammys. This is an amazing collaboration. And they way they harmonize is very unusual. It's like each one is wrapping their voice around the others. It's very rich and blended in such a pleasurable way.
I love Robert and Alison and T Bone is the man when it comes to producing this kind of music. Fantastic per usual.
Raising Sand deserved every accolade it got. i would love another collaborative album from them.

plant still has so much swagger and funk, makes me feel bad for some of the other older musicians. its nice to see a different side of his voice, but the old oohhhh yyyeaaahhh's are where its at

T-Bone Burnett with producing this awesome guitar ,fiddle ,mandolin ,,steel guitar etc is the very best blended sound I've ever heard being a true blue grass music lover ! It's very easy to see why Robert Plant traveled to Nashville with making the most successful switch ever from the Rock & Roll world into this blue grass team as it's the very best I've ever heard on a level that's TOPS ! I'm ADDICTED !!
