- HELLO FRIENDS! Thanks for watching our SHOP WITH US at ANTIQUES on MAINSTREET, LLC in downtown Hopkins, Minnesota! We always have so much fun at this big mall that has a huge variety of general antiques and vintage items--something for everyone! This time we featured mostly the wonderful Christmas decorations that we all love to see and collect.

We've always had fun thrifting and antiquing for vintage MCM furniture, lighting, kitchen dishes and fabulous old accessories to use and decorate our home since 2005. You will enjoy our RETRO HOME TOURS that we have on our channel. Our home is constantly changing as we find more fun vintage items at antique and thrift stores in MN and WI.

Wach every day I learn so much from the both of you. I have been collecting for 30 years. I guess they call it kitschy 70s 80s items. My husband was not very interested in my collecting till this past year then after 23 years he started show interest. Hès looking know for vintage Christmas and gets excited when he finds something. It's a miracle. We have so much fun as the both of you. Thank you for showing so much passion. As I do.

The Christmas card holder sleigh too me back to my childhood. Our neighbor was a contractor, and he made the sleigh and my dad painted them and painted a bell and ribbon on the front. Our families gave them as gifts that year.

Laughed when you described the organ as “just an old organ.” Keeping it real, Peggy. Norm should have grabbed some of those items for your Christmas stocking (beaded necklace, maybe). For Norm, I would have probably picked up one of those fishing lures with the great old boxes. I have a huge basket filled with the vintage tablecloths. Liked the bell wall hanging! I shop for different ones at Christmas, but reproductions are only a year behind. At least stuff I picked, like jumping jacks, or such!
Another fun shopping trip. You have a lot of different things up there. I enjoyed all the Christmas. We have some nice antique malls in Texas but we don’t have any thrift stores. The goodwills here are mainly for clothing. Merry Christmas to you!

Hi Lisa! I'm so glad to hear you two are on the mend and hope you are back to normal soon❣ Thank you for your prayers too. We just lost my brother last night. 😪 We went to see him in the afternoon at the nursing home and they had him on oxygen. He talked ok but was very tired. We had no idea that a few hours later, right after dinner, I would get a call that he was not good--low oxygen levels. She called back 3 times and he was gone by 7pm. We were shocked. I'm still emotionally drained today, but we are relieved he is no longer suffering trying to breathe. I had not let our viewers know how fast he was failing in December. So many were praying for him and us. Thank you again, sweet friend, for your support. Hugs💕 Peg and Norm
@@Crazy4Retro -Oh Peggy Lou I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your brother. I can understand being relieved he is no longer suffering. Watching someone struggle to breathe is so hard. Our son had Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia ( Childhood Leukemia) from age 3 and several times his lungs filled up with fluid when his kidneys shut down and it was just awful, he passed away at age 18, but mentally he was much younger. Anyway, I'm praying for you and your sister and family and will continue in the days to come. Love you in the Lord sweet friend

Hi! Thanks for watching! Here's my 2 cents. That's a very general assumption to make about quality if you're not personally examining it. At least you said it's beautiful.😊 You're probably mad at China's government, as a lot of Americans are. BTW, it's estimated that there are over 50,000 US companies that have operations in China. So you probably own a lot of things made there, like most Americans.🤔
Do you ever go to Stillwater or Osceola?
Hi Rob! Yes! I really like Stillwater but I don't think we've been there since maybe last spring. Osceola is a fun place too. Sometimes Norm feels he doesn't see enough change in a place and then doesn't suggest them again for a long time, mostly because he didn't see much of his interests there either. He likes his toys (which he never finds time to share in a video), or he enjoys places that are very MCM, like Up Your Alley. He has a slight dislike of driving to Stillwater, even though it's great there. He drove there to Oakdake 26 years for work and got really burned out on the drive and the job. We live in Maple Grove and you would need to get to Stillwater early and leave early because the traffic is terrible by 3 or sooner. So I think about that city a lot but Norm pictures me spending too much since there are too many shops to have fun at.😁 So I don't ask for that any more than once a year or less. I imagine you enjoy all of them. You never mentioned where in MN that you live or WI?? Hope your holidays are wonderful! Thanks so much for writing!
BTW, have you been to Nostalgia in Hudson? Really nice shop that we've been wanting to video. We've discussed it with the helpers but I can't remember if we've talked to the owner woman yet.
