- HELLO FRIENDS! Thanks for watching our SHOP WITH US Part 2 at ANTIQUES on MAINSTREET, LLC in downtown Hopkins, Minnesota! We always have so much fun at this big mall that has a huge variety of general antiques and vintage items--something for everyone! The first video featured mostly the wonderful Christmas decorations, and this second one is of all the other great things there!

We've always had fun thrifting and antiquing for vintage MCM furniture, lighting, kitchen dishes and fabulous old accessories to use and decorate our home since 2005. You will enjoy our RETRO HOME TOURS that we have on our channel. Our home is constantly changing as we find more fun vintage items at antique and thrift stores in MN and WI.

Your memory absolutely amazes me, Peggy. Norm can’t get away with much with your memory for detail and I laughed thru the story of the hanging owl ashtray. I bet you knew just what video to go back to in order to get a picture of it. I wish you both a happy and healthy 2022. You two are a delight to watch!

What a great store! Thanks for such a wonderful tour. I went thrifting and antiquing yesterday (scored two amazing 50’s end tables) and all the way through the antique mall I was thinking “Peggy would like this” or “Norm would love this!”

The two of you are adorable - your relationship reminds me of my folks! 🥰. I was just watching an older video where you bought a gold rose. I used to have one that came in a vase. My hubby bought it for me for Valentines Day in the early 2000’s from a jewelry store. My brother bought same thing for his wife - from a jewelry store! It’s a gold-dipped rose 🌹! There’s a real rose under that! Just wanted to share that with you! Thank you for all your hard work! The two of you do a fantastic job! And I love Norm’s sense of humor😁😆! Fun romp threw the antique mall. So many treasures to. See. The birds you said were pie birds..I think you are mistaken they were salt and pepper shakers. Each one had an s or a p on the bottom. Pie birds dont have that 🥧🧂🐦

Hi Christine! Thanks again for watching another video ;-) We're so glad you enjoy them and are hungry for more! Actually, this is the second video. The first one was where we showed mostly Christmas things. I hope everyone likes this one as much as you! It was a lot of work with all those clips from both Norm and I making videos and having some already made during the first trip. We went back to get more and it helped a lot. Sometimes we just get worn out after several hours and we are very hungry for lunch, so we have to leave and come back another day. The owner is really nice as well as some of the workers we met there this time. My brother's health is failing fast. We are sad that he wasn't able to get out of bed to come home with us on Christmas Eve. He had too much coughing and had to be given oxygen to calm down. It's not looking like we could care for him after all. The doctors and social workers say he needs 24-hour care in a nursing home now. We rearranged our entire upstairs to make a bedroom/bathroom for him and just don't know how to talk to him about it not being a good idea anymore. He can barely talk to us because of the difficulty to breathe. Heart and lung problems have caused his decline since this summer. Please pray that God will give us the right things to say to him so he will understand his rapid decline has made it too difficult to care for him now at our home, and that he should agree to hospice care. It's been a sad and difficult year for all of us. Thank you so much, Christine, for your sweet prayer support. May God bless you and yours in 2022. Love and Hugs from Us

Hi Christine! Just wanted to let you know that we went to go see my brother in the care center where he's been getting weaker all December. We found they were giving him oxygen. He was very tired but talked to us for awhile. We told him we'd come back again on Monday. We prayed at dinnertime that God would show us what to do for my brother and to not let him suffer to breathe for a long time. We finished dinner at 5:30 and I got a call from the nurse there who said your brother is not doing well and asked if want him sent to the hospital to be intubated? I was shocked. They put him on the phone to talk to me and he said he wanted to stay there. She called several times more that his oxygen levels were critical and he lost his color, so 2 nurses held his hand after giving him oxycodone for any pain. He went to Heaven by 7pm. This happened so fast after our prayer. We just could not believe it. I have been very emotional since yesterday but I will be ok. We did not want him to suffer and be sad. He did not want to linger in the nursing home. Thank you for your prayers. I will most likely tell our viewers soon because I've spoken of him and his generosity since our channel's beginning. So many have been praying for him. I hope you have a good week and thanks, Christine, for listening. Hugs, Peg and Norm too
@@Crazy4Retro Oh Peg, I'm so sorry to hear of your brother's passing. This is such a tough time for you and your family and words of comfort don't seem like enough. He is with God and the Angels now. No longer in pain and breathing easy. Please know that you are in my thoughts so very often, especially when I am in an antique store when I find something you have at home, I say to myself 'Peg and Norm have that'. But also when I'm admiring (or dusting) when I happen to have a piece of something that you have.
And especially when you give us a house tour or take us along shopping. But most of all right now in your time of loss.
I want to thank you for all the happiness and joy you spread throughout your videos.
May God continue to shine His Perpetual Light upon your brother and continue to bless you and Norm.
You are special people to me, if only virtually.
Please take good care of yourselves.
