- Deadpool and Wolverine are going to be in an MCU movie together! Hugh Jackman will play Logan one more time and he will do it with Ryan Reynolds in Deadpool 3. It was announced in a surprise social media tweet by Reynolds and the internet went nuts. James Mangold, director of Logan, tweeted and his tweet was dissected by everyone to which the director of the new Indiana Jones movie had to respond and say it was a joke. Charles returns, Roxy is back to dating, TV is hyped! Dahmer is a show that people are losing it over and we talk spoilers for House of the Dragon and more. I get so confused by people not understanding the multiverse concept in phase 4. They created & developed an entire series on Disney+, Loki, to acclimate the audience to the concept of multiverse variants so they specifically could lay the groundwork for weird wonderful one offs like No Way Home, Daredevil and a new version of Logan in Deadpool 3. This actually gives me more confidence in the idea that they aren’t going to reboot the X-Men until after the Multiverse Saga. Feige said he wasn’t thinking about X-Men until he followed through on his 5 year plan. That lines up with the end of the Multiverse Saga. If they were going to start rushing into an Xmen reboot they would never green light these one off variant cameos.
I’m pretty sure the 5 year plan ends with The Marvels but I still agree that X-Men aren’t for a few more years (other than Deadpool)
@@kylefielder9664 I will take waiting forever over them rushing into development on X-Men films that are half baked and not thought through. People have been clamoring for the X-Men to get the MCU treatment because we expect them to get it right. So yeah if it takes 5 years or 25 years (jk that would be interminable!😜) I can be patient! lol

Handmaids Tale is a wonderful show with insane talent in front and behind the scenes… I watched the pilot… and COULD NOT keep watching. I just didn’t have the fortitude to stick with it. With Dahmer I am glad they are trying to concentrate on the victims and their families loss cause the entire situation was so terrible and could have been stopped earlier.

I agree with Roxy, I don't think the MCU will abandon multiverse storylines completely. It'll always factor in to some extent. It's too big of a story device to not use in a franchise like this. As for Deadpool 3, bringing in Wolverine is gonna be awesome. What exactly the plan is to make it happen, I'm not sure, but I'm here for it. Werewolf By Night looks like it could be fun. Granted, I wish it was 2 hours, in color, and going to theaters, but I'll still take it the way it is. Looks like a fun watch for this time of year and I appreciate Marvel trying something vastly different like that. And I can't say I'm interested in the shows Roxy recommended this time, but I still appreciate her commentary on them.
What I want to happen is to let Hugh Jackman play Wolverine one more time in Deadpool 3 and then bring in Dafne Keen as the MCU's Wolverine moving forward.

Handmaid's Tale is a great series but it's a difficult watch!
I don’t feel like the directors have really been the issue with phase 4 tbh. Eternals is a beautifully directed film, the story itself is just kind of meh. Most of the issues with Multiverse of Madness also mostly have to do with script. Thor Love and Thunder is the only film where I think the director having too much power, truly applies.

I don’t think there will be more than three seasons of House of The Dragon. I read the wiki about all that happens during the civil war and that seams like the right amount. I hope we get to see all the dragon duels.
That’s what excites me about the show, nothing feels extraneous. They know exactly where they are headed and what needs to happen, when. Like you I ‘cheated’ and read up on all the big key moments that are coming and it’s going to be WILD! They don’t call it the Dance of Dragons for nothing! Instead of jumping away to far off lands and characters they are honing in on the specific sides developing in this one family and I love that. Gotta disagree. Once the war starts, the number of locations amd characters expand. Those new characters need character development and there are a good number of battles. Unless they cut characters and battles, this has to go 4 or 5 seasons. Highly recommend reading or listening to Fire and Blood

46:00 I wholeheartedly back this take, people like formulas more than they want to admit. If they order an MCU meal what they want is steak with a different sauce/cut not fish or something else, and people just won't admit it; they want new flavour but they don't want a new dish (for the most part, obviously some do and that is okay variety is good which is why you *should* be seeing more movies than just superhero stuff). I think Marvel, rightly I might add, took people's criticisms to heart and went "okay, we are giving directors more control" and despite not knowing what they were asking for that is what they got. The MCU is the longest most successful tv show of all time, seasons have multiple directors but ultimately they are still under the same umbrella of the same showrunner, and you know what that is okay (good, even).

I had a feeling that as soon as we got to the main jist of the story in house of the dragon which is the dance of dragons that folks might turn on the series because it's not GOT 2.0,it's a Targaryen civil war with no "good guy" characters on either side.

Chronological to the franchise's timeline, the last time we saw Wolverine before 'Logan' (which is set in 2029), was at the end of 'Days Of Future Past', where he wakes up in the now altered 'future' of 2023. So that leaves a time gap of 6 years, enough time for Wolverine to have an adventure with Deadpool.

Yes Roxy Any Fox X-Men actor is contractually has the right to play that character. That’s why I’m guessing Aaron Taylor Johnson didn’t return for Quicksilver that was ONLY for One Movie. Evan Peters had more contracts as him. Patrick Stewart, too and now Hugh Jackmann.

@@CorbCorbin they can't recast any of them until 2025. That's when the contract ends. So no other actor can play the X-Men characters that have already been casted in a previous Fox movie until 2025. I think June specifically.
@@Westcoastspidey I don’t know where these theories come from but they are ridiculous. No studio is going to tie themselves down with deals that force them to use an entire ensemble cast in that way. At best your most prominent actors (JLaw, Jackman, etc) might have pay or play deals where they get paid regardless of if they use them again, but it makes no business since to say we will never recast these characters until 2024. I think people are confusing the idea that the actors are contracted to play those characters if and when the studio asks them to up until that date, but it doesn’t guarantee a film payday. It’s similar to the confusion around Sebastian Stan in Phase 2, he was contracted for 9 film appearances but people thought that meant Marvel had to make 9 films with him in them when it means they have the option of using him up to 9 times before they can renegotiate a deal. No studio is handcuffing itself to a deal where only the few dozen actors they hired can play those roles no matter what.
Also the Aaron Taylor Johnson/Quicksilver casting in Age of Ultron has no connection to the FoX-Men. Both Disney and Fox had rights to Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch at the same time. The only stipulation was that Fox could call them mutants & connect them to Magneto, Disney could use them as Avengers.
@@langleymneely hey man, I wasn't referring to Aaron Taylor Johnson and Lizzie Olsen. That was different and yes you're right, Disney wasn't allowed to call them mutants. I've read that when Disney bought Fox, the no recasting until 2025 was apart of the deal BUT I could be wrong and that could just be misinformation on the internet. Either way, I didn't mean it as a guaranteed pay day for the actors. I only meant that if Disney wanted to use the character of Wolverine, they had to use Hugh Jackman. Not that he had to come back to play Wolverine. Or that they had to have the entire cast come back. But like I said, that could be wrong. I first heard it from Coy who works with Kristian on this channel.

No one else can play live action Nick Fury that’s black as long as Sam Jackson is alive because the likeness is so uncanny. He knows Fury so well he tells Directors how to actually direct the line. “ “Look, I know you wrote this, but this is a better way to say that as Nick Fury,” Jackson tells his directors.”

I have to respectfully disagree with Roxy, the patient even though it’s short, should have been a solid movie. As a show it’s too long for nothing. It’s getting super repetitive. Also Steve Carrell was better in the morning show IMO. Anyway good episode.

I’m not excited about a pg-13 blade movie. Vampire movies should be rated R. The MCU doesn’t have the balls like DC to make R rated movies. Marvel under fox did. You might say hey Deadpool 3 is going for R, yes but that’s a MCU movie under 20th century studios logo. It’s different.
