But you bouncing off of Ken or Mantz has a magical energy to it. I'm nostalgic for 2013 to 2017 era Schmoes, but still loving everything you do. Thanks for the entertainment, man.

I didn’t hate Dominion. But I was really hoping to love it. The first like 15 mins of the movie had me rolling my eyes because the critic reviews killed my vibe. I’d watch it again but when it comes out on digital.
Also, Brett reminds me of Trevorrow…and I want to yell at him for this horrible ending. But I’m not trying to displace my frustration on Brett 😂😂

I think I found a loophole... The embargo for JW Dominion reviews was until yesterday. But in my country it was officially released on Thursday last week ( June 2nd). And me having a TH-cam channel with some local followers but mostly from the US. I could have uploaded a review (If I did reviews) days before the rest of real critics, without breaking any rules? Why did they do that?😕
I think it is for official critics screenings for Rotten Tomatoes scoring.
@@TheKristianHarloff I saw reviews of the movie on RT since last week, from official foreign critics. Of course it still didn't have a percentage because there were only a few, but there they were... Anyway, this was a very rare case in that here it was released a week earlier. It used to happen with Marvel Phase 2. But what I found strange was the embargo, when there were already official reviews from other parts of the world...

A lot of what hurts this movie is that they dont really care about the magic of the craft anymore. Plus with this releasing after Top Gun (a movie that TRIES and showcases filmmakers who went above and beyond in the filmmaking elements) it also affects this movie

My review of The Offer is that almost all of the actual moviemaking stuff is fabulous. The mob story SUUUUUUUUUUUCKS and I'm so happy when those scenes are done.

I'm the type of person who likes to sit, think, and theorize about a show, so a week to week really helps with that. Netflix has this Korean drama called Bulgasal: Immortal Souls, where they released 2 episodes every week (one on Saturday & one on Sunday) for 8 weeks straight (a total of 16 episodes). Im not sure if they have ever done another release like that, but that type of schedule is something I really liked.

Netflix release > weekly release.
I’m an adult. I don’t binge (I hate binging) but I LOVE watching a series at MY SCHEDULE.
I like being able to watch 2 Friday, then 2 more Sunday. And then maybe a few more for the rest of the week.
I don’t understand this obsession with weekly drops. Number one, every show becomes a binge show the moment all the episodes release.
But also, you DONT HAVE TO BINGE IT ALL IN A WEEKEND. Their model allows YOU (the viewer) to determine how you wanna watch.
So guess what. If you want to treat STRANGER THINGS like a weekly show and only watch one every week for 2 months.
YOU CAN! NO ONE IS STOPPING YOU! the great thing about being an adult (like we all are) is that we get to make our own schedules.
Weekly sucks. Watch however you want. I’m not a binge watcher, and I GREATLY prefer the Netflix model.

To be fair, you can do the same thing with a weekly show. Just wait until it's all out then binge it, or watch it on your schedule. It's the same thing. The weekly release just allows a show to stay in the zeitgeist longer, where as in 2 weeks people will have already moved on from a binge drop like Stranger Things.
They don't like it because their job, puts pressure on them, I prefer having all the episodes released at once, I don't ever watch them in one day, but that's the beauty of not having to wait on their releases.

I hope you clip out that whole section of the show where you, Roxy, and Brett lost your shit lol. That's on par with the the Santa clip from last December lol. A relative of mine recently passed away, so I needed the laugh. As for Deep Water, that's on my list of movies to see. I used to like those erotic thrillers Hollywood used to make back in the 80s and 90s and it looks like a throwback to that. It was supposed to go to theaters, but Fox kept delaying it and delaying it before they decided to just slap it on Hulu.

I planning to see it tonight. Curious to see how this story ends the overall franchise. Michael Crichton's books are great and of course in the films they change the story by taking certain liberties and like you said the first one back in 1993 really was the gold standard. I am excited for the original actors being back and how their story crosses paths with the Jurassic World characters.

I totally respect that you guys think the movie did too much with too much plot and story, but that’s what I actually enjoyed about the movie! It made me think about the real world aspects of the genetic consequences of the locusts and the dinosaurs. I watched the first Jurassic Park before this movie, and the plot in Dominion with the locusts makes sense because this whole series is about genetic manipulation and the greed of evil corporations. There are many complexities hinted about this stuff in the first Jurassic park book and movie, and I really think the Jurassic world movies have expanded upon what Michael Crichton was wanting us to feel and to think about.
Seeing Sam Neil, Laura Dern and Jeff Goldblum back together again gave me goosebumps and they gave great performances and I was glad to see that the movie took their storyline and then the storyline of Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard and they merged them together very naturally. The legacy characters actually had things to do in this movie and I very much appreciated that. The movie does have its flaws, and I wish that we got more of the consequences of the dinosaurs being among us which was where we were left at in Fallen Kingdom, but for what we got, I think it wrapped up the Jurassic park franchise very nicely. You will never be able replicate the first movie, and I am glad that they haven’t attempted to do that. Respect what came before and do your own thing, to put your own staple on the franchise and I think Colin Trevorrow has done that nicely. Just to put it out there, here is my ranking of the Jurassic park franchise:
1. Jurassic Park
2. Jurassic World
3. Jurassic World Dominion
4. Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom
5. Jurassic Park The Lost World

Liked this movie, did not love it. The bar was set very low for me with Fallen Kingdom, so it was really only uphill from there. I assume, just about everyone is in the same boat. So like you said Kristian, the franchise has changed so much from Jurassic Park, that I don’t compare the 2 trilogies anymore. It’s as Sean Chandler says, a “Taco Bell movie”..something that’s just there to entertain the eyes without making you think, and that’s the Jurassic World trilogy as a whole. I enjoyed the dinosaur stuff, I enjoyed seeing the legacy cast and I enjoyed the action. But that all being said, this movie had some serious plot holes including really odd conveniences, as well as PS3 cutscene CGI during a lot of the wide shots. Some of these issues were so jarring that it took me out of the movie for a couple of seconds like Ramsey literally popping up at the end with everyone when he was just with Dodgson at the HQ. Or, locusts that can continue to fly after being on fire for minutes…I enjoyed it overall but some moments literally made me shake my head in the theater. We’ll see this franchise come back for sure.
