I’ve been a curado fan for well over 10 years and love them. Tried Garcia’s Diawas and always come back full circle to them. That’s just my preference though. I like the reliability of them the most. Thanks for the video mark
I've been wanting to try one of these Curado DCs.
Try to adjust spool tension to where there is no side to side play and that should take care of that noise issue
Mine started getting really hard to real in after 2 months. I took it apart and it had salt build up big time. clean it out and re lubed it, working great again. I lightly rinse it after every use.
Nice reel, I like the Curado's myself.
I love the curado and I only fish salt water . But after 6 months of heavy use . I popped her open too see if there was any damage and I had some major salt build up . I didn’t expect that because the reel was still running butter smooth . Some parts where starting to rust out so I cleaned degreased / re greased and oiled . Also flushed the bearings and re greased them . It is now running like new again but I upgraded to the tranx

Whats your opinion now i bought one last summer and i dont use it in salt but i want to real bad...is your DC still working well after all the use and cleanings
That as a lot of people that use freshwater reels for fishing in saltwater I have done it but I get to the salt seven or eight days a year so they work fine for me but I don't use them like you do
awesome review haha really kinda tempted to get this reel. just wanna ask how do you clean ur reel after ur saltwater session? with the dc system i know that you kinda have to be more careful
I never clean them. I’m just careful to not get water in it. I take it to Fishing Tackle Unlimited for cleaning.
How do you go about deciding on line strength? i've noticed you use lighter line than lots of other guys who prefer something like 20-30 lb braid. Thanks.
The size of the lures I throw is my deciding factor.
I'm looking at The Curado DC and SLX DC... How small of a Luer can you throw on the Curado. Any commentary on the comparison between the two reels? Thanks so much. Great review
I just got a curado dc but I would spend the extra 70$ for the curado it’s more reliable I would say better body
The older DCs are louder then this one. Was kinda disappointed. I like the wiz sound

How is the shimano curodo dc is it ok to rinse after use and can it get wet because of digital chip
That's a good question. But I never thought of it because I rarely ever rinse any of my gear. Needless to say I never rinsed the DC off when I used it. Now it's been given away to a Patron.

I only fished it in the salt. It did great for the month that I had it.

I’m constantly using different reels for the monthly reviews. So my two conquests are more than enough. But no lie, that Curado is magical to cast.

What problems have you had
Why put tape on the spool before putting line on?
The braid will spin freely when trying to pack the line on tight.
