I spooled it with 8 LB test mono for lighter lures, gave it some practice casts and found that it did cast well th-cam.com/users/postUgkxSlytCJqozTF7EbdP4LWP-HUXf9WRDJ0e , except that the anti-backlash setting had to be turned up almost all of the way to keep the "overcasts' ' down. I disassembled it, and found that if I potted some "shim washers" behind that anti-backlash magnet assembly, it got the magnets closer to the spool without rubbing, and I could get better control with about a 6 to 7 out out 10-Max setting. I also noticed that the handle shaft had some internal end play, maybe only 2 or 3 thousands of an inch, but it's still noticeable. If the anti-backlash and shaft tolerances were "tightened up" this would be a fantastic value. I've only used it for 4 days of fishing in a month's time, but I plan on keeping it.
The Piscifun Alloy M is an EXACT Copy of the Ardent Summit Hawk which is 199 bucks and the Alloy M is an exceptional Reel and I can launch 3/8’s to 3/4 ounce with ease and zero backlash and honestly one of the smoothest Reels I’ve ever used, I wish I still had my Alloy M…
Agree. I have two of them, one in the 8 ratio and one in 6. Thinking about getting a thrid in 7 or 8. For the price they're unmatched. I do enjoy fishing with my 13 Concept Z a bit more, esp. with the clicking drag, and the SLX DC is phenomenal IMO, but those reels are $270 and $200, respectively. The Alloy M can be had frequently for under $70. That's a stupid value for the performance.
Maybe not the best baitcaster in the world but the best in my collection is the daiwa fuego! Never backlashes and I empty the spool every time I cast! Amazing bang for your buck 👏👍
The fact that abu and lew's are #1 and #2 Shimano and diawa are more near the low end shows me all I need to know. There is no way you can find abu or lew's to be better than any of those. I would take the alloy m before a abu or lew's. I've had all and the alloy m shits on them. But diawa and Shimano rightfully should be at the top.
I am a fishing tackle guru and fish every day for giant trophy stripers. You wouldnt get me anywhere near these cheap chinese crap reels. They might be good for the weekend angler but not for a hardcore trophy hunter. No reel named piscifun, soolygang or kastking is as good as a daiwa saltiga or a shimano twin power reel. The daiwa coastal is a good reel just not enuff drag power, the lews are pretty good too. Curados great, just too small. Get a $125 Daiwa Bg 5000 or a penn slammer or penn battle for $150. Unbeatable, rock solid great drags too. For batcasters i use a Daiwa prorex 400. Its a insane "musky" reel with 30 lbs of drag and smooth as glass. Also the shimano tranx 400 is a great striper reel. All these others are for bass and walleye and good for catfish. I avoid made in china shit. Only the top end reels like saltigas, stellas and mavericks that are made in japan are the best, but costly
The Alloy M is an exception, I’ve only used it in fresh water but between my 3 reels, I’ve caught over 50 salmon just this year alone. They are still working perfectly fine after a couple years of hauling in huge PNW salmon.
You could say the same for firearms or many other things. It is what it is. You want a $4k Wilson, a $6k Nighthawk, or do you just want a $600 1911. Yes there are more expensive reels, but what do you want to spend? If you’re making a living at it, maybe you get a more high end reel. What is the best for one person may not be for the next. The “best” is a matter of opinion.
hi, I am very surprised that in this top you did not include ..perhaps you are limited only to commercial models ! I recommend these models: TITANIUM CLAW TC401H The Abu Garcia Revo 4 IKE-SH BULLZEN Iguana Velocity Bait Casting Greetings from Rome, Italy
The Curado K is an amazing reel if you know how to cast a baitcaster😂 . A step above both is the Mentanium and they just came out with the DC version. I have 2 Curado 200 Ks. They re 5 or 6 years old, I throw Swimbaits up to 4ounces on them and still buttery smooth.
Does a left hand reel mean that you use your left hand to reel with? The left and right hand reels show the same picture. I flip the rod with my right hand and reel with my left but don't know what kind of reel I need.
I'm ambidextrous. I told the fishing guy at Cabellas that I've learned to reel in with either side left or right. He looked at me really surprised. I can even write with both hands. So I'm confused on the which side you wanna reel with when asked. 😢. But I'm gonna buy the Abu Garcia SX and Curado DC bait casters! ❤
Yes. Casters are "crank-hand" specific. So, if it's a left handed version, you'd use your left hand to turn the handle. I'm a lefty for fishing, but righthanded in everything else. Same with guitar. Weird. Anyway, many anglers will both cast and cranck right handed. Meaning, they will anchor the rod in their right hand, cast the lure, then switch the rod to their left hand to crank with their right. It's up to you what you feel most comfortable doing. When purchasing, go by the item description over the images regardless of vendor.
@@OneDegreeLife. Hello, I am French, in Europe we always cast and hold with the right hand and we row with the left hand, it seems much more natural to us and also much faster because we do not need to change the rod hands . I am sure that when you change hands, you have already missed fish that can bite as soon as the lure hits the water. It's a big mystery for us. Sincerely.

I love how the first 30 seconds your describing baitcasters, but youre showing spinning reels🤣
yea dude i was so confused at first 😂
That’s because real fisherman prefer spinning reels lol
These reviewers are not fishermen. They're just BS artists like their reviews.

His thumbnail too wrong names on the reels smh gtfoh

I own the Piscifun Phantom and the Piscifun carbon xcs casting reels. Absolutely LOVE both. I even prefer them to my curado 70 mgl.

No Drought I have 2 of them.
Even though I have way fewer issues with a spinning reel, something keeps making me come back to baitcasters
I have a revo ax and I do love it but the thumb button did break on mine it still cast and reels in fine but the am looking at the tatula and curado k
Maybe not the best baitcaster in the world but the best in my collection is the daiwa fuego! Never backlashes and I empty the spool every time I cast! Amazing bang for your buck 👏👍
Po I need to ask , are all baitcasting reel low profile or what are the featuresof low profile reel?

Abu garcia revo5 lineup is great.
From what I’ve found a lot of people prefer lews.
Shimano Trax 400 the best
They're one of the best but too many to say that, especially with the Lexa tw400
Totally agree with you 100%
It all a preference my buddy swears by shamano I personally swear by Lew's and diawa it all matters what you are comfortable with
Shamano? Is that some sort of a Chinese knock-off?

I’m not sure why you guys placed the Curado K instead of the Curado Dc 200XG? It’s by far the BEST on the market in my opinion.

Abue garcia revo sx is the best reel for the money
He's talking baitcasting but shows spinning reels. Smart

No one has a review on the new KastKing Royale legend pro celestial, now that's a reel under $100 I want to hear about.
Any of these reels have the clicky fine tune knob on the break?
Lews does
Lews seems to be the upcomer lately?
They got all the reel brands wrong on the thumbnail but it might be because they want more views
what about Piscifun Alijoz 400?
I love the 300 on my swimbait rod. Excellent reel IMO. Just too large a frame/spool for many anglers who target mostly freshwater species.
Year 24 not finish yet 😅
Abu Garcia Revo S Low Profile
abu 5500c3 (or 5600c3) wins always
Yes, the Swedish made ones.
I have all of them but not abu Garcia
For me for the bang for the buck not sacrificing performance it’s hands down Piscifun!
Good job
I don’t feel you’ll ever get a honest opinion because these TH-cam videos are all paid for by sponsors
When the opening footage shows dudes holding a spinning rod wrong-they lose all credibility.
Kastking RoyalLegend ll -----❤❤❤👌👌👌
I bought two Daiwa Coastal SV TW 150XS reels. I wish I hadn't!
You couldn’t find a fucking chunk of film with a bait caster, and that you had to use a fucking spin caster
Why so many spinning reels? 😅
TH-cam needs to ban AI channels
The reviewers are not fishermen. They have no clue!!!
*shows spin reels being held incorrectly*
Ah yes baitcasters..
And the winner is, Who paid him the most money.
Lol. Not even close!!
Piscifun is trash. I’ve been dumb enough to buy three of them. Trash!
At least two people in the intro clearly have no idea how to even hold a spinning reel. 😂 What a joke. And the content is nonsense. Pass.
This is a waste of time…
You have no idea what you’re talking about! Perhaps stick to grass cutting videos.
