Thanks for hanging out with me while we went all around town getting all the things we needed for Josh's Birthday! His birthday and our anniversary are only weeks apart and he picked out the same menu we had at our wedding so this party is kind of his birthday and our 9th wedding anniversary combined :)
Hey Becky when I was young I was a really bad anemic so my mom used to grind up liver and put it in everything in her spaghetti in her meatloaf she even put it in meatballs. Just don't put too much then you're just eating up ground liver. Also I'm not anemic anymore❤
As for the towels.... I bought them for our family and they are wonderful... Highly recommend... I liked them so much after they washed up and dried... I switched the whole lot of my towels.... But get a few of the big bath towels for drying off.... the 5/6 packs are great for guests and kids..... Hugs from Esquimalt
I love those soup dumplings! They have chicken ones as well. Chili crisp is so good on the dumplings, I’ve tried a couple brands and will eventually try to make it myself as well. Happy Birthday to Josh🎉
Our anniversary is the 24th and every year, instead of gifts, we select and plant a tree together. This year we picked a nectarine. And a magnolia that will grow here in Wisconsin. After 27 years of this, our little farmette has a full blown orchard of many different types of foods bearing and flowering trees.
Hi Becky. Thank you for taking me along shopping. It’s so fun to see how a typical shop looks like in your country. I’m living in Denmark 🇩🇰. I have learned SO much from you, cooking, baking and gardening. So thank you ❤
Your a lot stronger then I am when it comes to shopping because all that extra stuff you looked at would be in the cart along with the things you needed.
Kiwi Berries are amazing. You eat them whole, and they are so sweet! Lychee are really good too, but it takes a little work with little fruit in them you have to peel off the outside skin, then detach the sweet, white fruit from in toxic seed in the center. You can get canned which is much more convenient.
I have a little cottage food business. I use your no knead bread recipe a LOT. I do different flavor add ins. One is a tomato basil using tomato powder and dried basil. Another is adding dried minced onions and shredded Asiago cheese. My customers love them so thank you for that easy, delicious bread recipe 😋
I enjoy watching you go shopping, as you point out and purchase items that my family isn't able to afford...I live vicariously through your shopping. We live on a very tight budget and make meals stretch for days! 😊
Becky my wife says you are amazing you are a good steward of your finances and you are always using the freshest of food to feed your husband and your family you are a real blessing to them all godbless you and thank you for sharing your receipties with everyone
We have a air fryer oven with 3 shelves and lots of preset buttons I've had it for two years and I very rarely use my kitchen oven it's a wonderful investment and economical
Hey Becky! I’m Greek and make spanakopita often. If you want to make authentic spanakopita watch Dimitri’s dishes on TH-cam. She has the easiest, best recipes for Greek dishes. Spanakopita is definitely a family favorite! Enjoy.
When our Labrador was still alive our vet told us to stop feeding Pig Ears to him even though it was his favorite treat. It can cause salmonella and make the dog very sick because pig ears are natural and preservative free just like the ones you showed. I remember that on the back of the bag it said to wash your hands after handling, so our vet asked why we would feed our dog something that calls for us to wash our hands afterwards which made us think about it and we stopped feeding them to him, we replaced them with something safe for him to chew on because we loved him. Our boy made it to 14.5 years which was pretty old for a large breed dog that was as tall and weighed in at 98 pounds, we still miss him! 😔
@@sunnyday_lemonbars I’ve never seen that brand before, but I’m in the south east of the US. I just made chocolate chip cookies tonight, would have loved to try them.
Regarding dog vs kid stuffies … the best tip I got when we got our puppy was to never give them stuffed toys if you plan on having kids. Most dogs have a really hard time knowing their stuffed toys from kid stuffed toys, so they are easily confused about what they are allowed to chew up.
The Kiwi berries are like miniature kiwi fruit .. they were developed in New Zealand around 10 years ago ( maybe a few more) if you like kiwi fruit you’ll like them. Hi Becky from a kiwi in NZ

Hi Becky! I love soup dumplings too. Not sure if you know but I read that Trader Joe’s recently recalled their chicken soup dumplings due to possible contamination with plastic.
I love to shop with you!!! I hope ur party was amazing, I know it will be. I also wanted to tell you to please give ur mom n dad my best. I miss seeing them.
I appreciate how you pan your camera slowly!! I genuinely get nauseous trying to watch shop with mes from some others that move the camera all fast from thing to thing.
Hi. Becky. I love it when you take us shopping. We do not have these stores in our country. I love it when you prepare and then cook all Excellent dishes...
If no one has ever suggested 3 square laundry baskets for grocery shopping one for refrigerator/freezer (with 2 dollar tree sunshaded to make a cold box) and canned/dry/fresh. They fit in the cart easy to load t and unload
Fab video Becky looking forward to what you do for Josh's Birthday. it will be amazing. Happy Birthday Josh hope you have a fab day. i have only had olives once and that was in Greece but didn't like them. still i know a lot of people do like them. love to you all xxx
Becky in the second shop when you were saying you was looking to see if they did Bread Flour. You said they do not. Well not being rude they did. It was in a blue n white bag which said BRWAD FLOUR . It was next to Whole Wheat Flour. Under the all purpose flour. Sweet
Becky that soup dumplings at Costco is really good, I just bought my 3rd bag. The one at TJ I have to buy 4boxes to feed my family of 4, Costco quality & quantity for the win!!!

I'm gearing up to go to Maine Maple Sunday this weekend at my local farm. It's a tradition that I've kept up since my daughter was tiny and she'll be 25 on the 7th. Hope the party was great.
The garden slip on shoes are great, I have them at home and at my mums we both have a pair because we pop out for a moment and 3 hours later we are still out there. 😁
For serving bowls for a crowd, go to a second hand store and buy punch bowls. They hold huge salads, or anything you need large bowls for. I almost always buy them for about $3 each., which is often less than throw away plastics.
Thanks Becky, I really enjoy your videos ❤ Being Australian, I find it interesting seeing your shops and prices in the USA. I wish we had as much selection such as sticks of butter, (we buy by the half or 1 kilogram), half and half, large heavy cream cartons (our largest are only 600 millilitres). I’m in awe of the vast selection of things you guys have there 😊
Can my husband and I stop by for dinner on our way to Olympia for dinner? My husband is from Lebanon. He is 85 and I am 75. I love your cooking show. You are a beautiful person. My husband enjoyed the pita bread show.
Hey Becky! I live in the same city as you in Washington, and I shop at the Costco often! I just wanted to let you know, if you and Josh enjoy ramen you should try rakuzen ramen. It’s in the same plaza as that Costco right next to the qdoba and a dental office! :) me and my husband love going there it’s amazing! 🤍
I used to volunteer at the community garden when lived in Maine. There was a kiwi berry tree on the property. We’d pick the berries from the lower branches and eat them. Taste it’s like kiwi only sweeter and you don’t have to peel them.
You should try a Hugo Spritz!!! SO much better than Aperol. It’s my go to when I’m in Italy and I now make it in spring and summer for gatherings! It uses Elderflower liquor instead of aperol and lime slices. Yes please
Hi Becky! Lychees are one my favorite fruits. Every year, I eat tons when they are in season. Make sure you don't get them when they are green though. They won't ripen and they have a toxin that goes away once ripe. Kiwi berries are fun novelty fruit, a bit of a cross between kiwi and grape.
Here's the thing with Girl Scout cookies. I had to sell them when I was a Brownie. In those days you went door-to-door which they don't do now. When I see a Girl Scout stand in front of my grocery store I don't buy the cookies. So little of what the Girl Scout organization takes + the cost from the cookie manufacturer goes back to the troop. I just give the troup leader or the volunteer adult a twenty. They can use it for the local troup, crafts supplies, activities etc.
We 💯 recommend Solo stove! So glad that we bought ours and use it all the time!! Propane fire pits do not put off much heat(my in laws had one and that was my take on their propane fire pit)
So when are we gonna get to see Josh's baking skills? My dad and I are the bakers in our family. My mom and sister prefer stove-top cooking. I'm getting better at it, but I know I will always prefer baking. You made a good point that I never thought of... as an autistic person I am definitely prefer what is precise and detailed. So it does makes sense that I do better with baking. "Eyeballing" is harder for me because, without a given amount to follow, my confidence in what I'm doing implodes and I'm more likely to get confused. When I watch you do eyeball things with so much confidence, it blows my mind. That's definitely a learning curve for me. Probably not impossible, just harder.
My mom made pho a lot for me and my siblings growing up. She recently got an 8qt Instapot a few years ago and she said using it saves so much time compared to cooking for 8-10 hours traditionally. It was about 2 hours or so to finish cooking. I visited and tried it without knowing it was from the Instapot and it tasted exactly how it did when I was a child!
Several different stores are implementing quieter times to shop with no music. They have set hours for a calmer shopping experience This is really helpful to those with sensory issues as well.
Hi Becky. Those 2 lose oranges are not oranges but Mineola's. The mineola is a cross between a mandarin and grapefruit, resulting in a taste that is sweet, fresh and sour at the same time. They are easy to peel - very nice - and are packed with Vitamin C. Due to the mixed taste, you can use mineolas in many dishes. 🤗
Thanks for taking us shopping with you, I always enjoy it and to see what is new in the stores. Anxious to see the Tablescape for Josh’s birthday and the food too.
Tell Josh that I like to use all light brown sugar, melt the butter and let the brown sugar melt in the warm butter. It makes for a chewy cookie, rather than a crispy style cookie. Anytime cookies are needed/wanted for a gathering, I'm ALWAYS asked to make my chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin cookies. When making the oatmeal raisin cookies, I also melt the butter and then dissolve the sugar in the warm butter. It just seems to keep the cookies softer & chewy for several days, longer if you keep them in an airtight container. Happy baking!! 😊🫶🏻 Happy birthday to your hubby as well!! 🥳🎈🎊🎈🎉🥳
I’m so glad to hear I’m not the only one that goes out in my slippers to the garden! And I’ll even wear them out there in the rain. Lol I actually have three pairs of slippers to go out in the garden Wednesday up in my bedroom!
You may want to try the Keebler Grasshopper cookies from the grocery store. They taste just like the Girl Scout Thin Mint cookies. I also freeze the Grasshoppers. Also they are available all year not just when the Girl Scouts are selling cookies. Love the Girl Scouts, but their prices have gotten so high and the quantities have really shrunk. I'm going to age myself here, but when I was in the Girl Scouts they were fifty cents a box (the 60's). Give the Grasshoppers a try. Love your channel can't wait to see the finished seed growing room. 💐
It was so much fun shopping with you, and hearing how you think and "FOLLOW A LIST" without cheating much. That was impressive! FYI Those limoncello white chocolate almonds are AMAZING!!! so yes, I recommend them for Easter. Also, making crepes is so easy, just remember to plan a bit ahead so you can let the batter rest for at least an hour or overnight so your flour doesn't taste too sandy, it incorporates into the egg milk mixture when it rests. You don't need a special crepe pan, your larger cast iron will work just fine, or at least we like the larger ones better. And, when you get good at it, you can make a mille-crepe cake...delicious! One last thing I wanted to share with you: We often make grilled sausages and I started mixing shredded cabbage with sauerkraut and stir-frying them together with some dill, salt & garlic powder to put on our buns...OMG it is so good, you get the benefit of the fermented kraut along with the crunch of the fresh cabbage. Anyway, try it...it works great on any sausages not just brats.
I am so impressed that you make baklava each Easter. I did a lot of Greek cooking for my kids so they could experience some of my heritage. Great episode.
Dollar tree has the girl scout chocolate mint cookies , $1.25 , they actually come from the same warehouse , buy him a bunch to put in the freezer , they also have the fudge peanut butter one , I get them for my hubby

Happy birthday to your hubby as well!! 🥳🎈🎊🎈🎉🥳
Oh I will thanks so much!
That sounds like awesome advice
It’s in the bulk section bread flour
My husband Loves that salted caramel cocoa! He always tries to sneak an extra one in my cart when I’m not looking. LOL
I have a Kiwi Berry in my garden. You can get them with green and with red fruits. Why not planting them in your garden? They are self fertile plants.
Hi Becky. Happy birthday Josh 🎉. Happy anniversary to you both 🥂. ❤️from South Africa
I love shop with mes!!! It’s going to be a good day!
We think the DT taste better than the GS cookies!
I just bought spme from DT today
Love them
