Johnny was a real class act and truly liked Dave. If it had been up to him Dave would have gotten the Tonight Show instead of what's his name

@@robertvarisco2196 I actually find Jay funny literally anywhere that isn't the Tonight Show, upon which, I thought he sucked. And that was before all the stealing the show a second time BS. Saw him live in the 80s and it was great. He was a good guest on Dave's show, too.

Funny sketch. Always good to see Dave with Johnny. But I wish I knew what a fax machine was. It seemed like some sort of paper email system. Why didn’t they just use email??

    • @mc12358

Faxing was still a very common way to send a document in 1990. Email was around at the time, but it was a lot slower in 1990 and not nearly as widely used.

I imagine walking around planting magical super-seeds and carrying a flamethrower, growing a forest all around me and then whipping out the flamethrower to cut it all down, vaporized in a plasma cloud straight down to the roots and I never stop walking and planting and burning everything. I'd be out there talking to myself and talking to God, debating omniscience and photographing all the evidence of things, the trees and the empty fields, the pacing footsteps and the arcs of fire.
