    I will be buying a President Lincoln II+ in the next couple of weeks. How may I get in contact with you for converting and tuning P&I?
    Thanks in advance.

    Great vid. I wanted to see what output you sent to the amp as it mirrors my setup except my amp is a 203p. Prob same. I find my modulation is really low at all the way down on the Lincoln 2 plus. I think at 4 watts or so it gets beck up to 100%. I don’t know what peak is safe for the amp. Mine will peak at that 30 to 50 watt range. What’s too hot on this amp DK and peak? Thank You.

    • @GroundControl204
      @GroundControl204  ปีที่แล้ว

      Peak wise, anything over 55 watts will burn the amp up. Now dead key, no more than 4 watts. 73

    Do you have to rewire the road devil mic for the lincol.2 plus or can you just use an adaptor
    Cause I can look up the mic wirering and radio wirering my self but iam always busy working and always 2 tired to research after work to match up the radio and mic wires. Cause I don't want to hook up my road devil mic and fry the radio .

    • @GroundControl204
      @GroundControl204  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If the road devil is wired up for a 4 pin to work with Galaxy, Cobra or Stryker 4 pin then all you need is the correct adapter. Which are on eBay, “4 pin to 6 adapter”

      @BlackOpsTechnology okay perfect I all ready have one. Cause I know that some radios send out 8 volts and I did not want to send voltage down the wrong pin and pop my new radio.

    I have a President Lincoln 2 + in my car with a Stryker SRA 10 antenna. How do I figure out where the RF Gain should be set to drive a 2 pill amp mounted under the front passenger seat? Thanks.

    • @GroundControl204
      @GroundControl204  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Keep the RF power all the way down or you blow the amp. Best bet is to purchase a watt meter for yourself, this will give you a good reference of what you are putting into the amplifier, and then you may be able to adjust dead key a watt or more but that also depends on what type of transistors are in the amplifier.

    • @sgsjdmst
      @sgsjdmst 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @GroundControl204 My rig is in my car. I wouldn't have to keep the watt meter in the car permanently would I? If I turn the RF power all the way down on the Lincoln 2+, how would there be enough power to run the linear?

    • @GroundControl204
      @GroundControl204  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@sgsjdmst Yes, the meter can be a one time read out and then you can take it out the car. Normally from factory the President Lincoln only keys up about 3 watts, so that will safely push a high drive amp or a low drive amp… Now here’s the kicker, the President does about 50 watts peak and low drive amps usually have a power rating of 20-25 watts peak, so I don’t recommend a low drive amp with the President Lincoln. We not only have to stay in specs with dead key, but also peak power when you talk and modulate. So, in a nutshell amplifiers have dead key specifications as well as peak power specifications, and we should not exceed either of them or the amp goes POOF. 👍🏻

    I have a lincoln 2+ in my Subaru Forester and I get a lot of static. What could be causing this?

    • @GroundControl204
      @GroundControl204  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Make sure that antenna is grounded to the chassis of the vehicle, use ferrite cores on power wires to the radio and wire the radio directly to the battery. This will help against static that the car’s electrical system can cause in your transceiver. 73

    • @sgsjdmst
      @sgsjdmst 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @GroundControl204 Where do I find the ferrite cores for the power wires to the radio which you suggest?

    • @GroundControl204
      @GroundControl204  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @sgsjdmst Mix 43 ferrite is what you need. Amazon, EBay, RFparts.com
