Happy New Year! I'm not a chainsaw mechanic but I love Husqvarna. I bought a used 340 and 350, they were such nice saws. Still have the power heads. I had them running for about five years and the pistons got scorched and worn. They still ran but I decided to go with a new 455 Rancher in 2020 and a 365 in 2023. I love them both. I ran .325 pinch chain on the older Huskys. My newer saws run 3/8 with a .050-gauge bar. I've always liked a stock saw. I'm a saw enthusiast and occasional firewood cutter. I love to run saw and split firewood by hand. I've only been doing it for eleven years but it's my favorite hobby and outdoor chore.
That will be an excellent chainsaw. 357XP were made from 2003-2011. It's the same saw as the Jonsered CS-2156 (56.5 cc). I prefer a .325' pitch chain on anything under 60 cc myself. If you have other saws running Husky .325" pitch bars & chains, it would make sense to make them all the same. If you didn't pay too much, you did well!
@@driftlesshunter9200 171$ Canadian pesos. Pretty much have the same rule on pitch however I've heard of some folks running. 325 on 70cc+ saws. Make for a pretty mean creation
Thats the best saw to buy, xp's that lived in a case under a workbench 99.99% of the time. The serial number tag is under the handlebar on the clutch side, you can see it if you look carefully.
Theres something mystic about the Jonsered chainsaws, They are rare around here and folks hardly have a clue about their history . Thanks for sticking around Bud !
@@bornforfreetaxtothedeath..7542 You apparently have no clue what he has. Husky/Jonsered 357XP/CS-2156 are excellent chainsaws! I would take a used one in good condition over an Echo any day! Echo are decent chainsaws, but these Husky/Jonsered chainsaws from that era are wonderful saws. I'm not knocking Echo. If I needed a new chainsaw, I would surely consider one. A slightly used saw in good condition like this one would trump the Echo in my mind.

Chainsaws or dirt bikes, Husqvarna is the best there is!
I would argue that echo will outshine Husky's quality, if u disagree with me, then u never ran Echo before!
At least their inventor wasn’t an SS nazi.😂

Only run a husky dirt bike if you want to replace the subframe!💯
