It's very subtle, but here is the secret. If you notice he is standing on the very edge of the ledge. Stand as close as you can to the edge so when you get out of ice block you don't have to run as far. I have 2557 health and am 57. Without doing this I died every time, but when I stand on the edge I live. Good luck!
the lashers drop blue/purple loot; I had the Hurricane bow drop off of them on a pally run. You'll get a nice amount of dreamfoil, gromsblood an occasional blindweed/ghost mushroom but no herbs at the next tier (plaguebloom/mountain silversage). Really good farm if you are an herbalist as there are a handful of dreamfoil/gromsblood nodes, plus runn tumm tubers can drop from the pods.
The leeway you mention was part of original classic as a feature designed to manage the low speeds/high latency of the day. They left that system in place when re-releasing the 15y/o version.
There's another seed that's planted right under first pack of satyrs, but it's not there in your video. How come? Also here's another thing I do: I do DME first, and then when I'm done with satyrs, I remove equipment and die (not losing durability). After that, I run to DM:N. The benefit is that I don't need to wait for party lead to switch to my alt to reset and I don't need anyone to open north door for me.
i find this so inconsistance ....50% of the time 3-5 dogs resist my nova and or blizzard and they are stupidly in 2 groups...but even more annoying 50% of the time i die on the debuffs i get from them when leaving my iceblock
OK to completely avoid getting hit by then and die what you do is after you pull them, you run at about half of that ledge where you at and your blizz can rich quite far, pre Bliz r1 to gather them and start with max rank it, you will have around 2 full Bliz before then get near you, once they about to hit you jump down and keep max Bliz as they walk away, it won't be any slower, maybe few seconds but wond change you alot and its 100% safe
OK.. so at this point i am trying to do this.. Position is key. WA iceblock to see when to pop out is handy. if u follow his exact steps its easy to do
The general idea is to wait for the mobs to hit a bunch of times, and then when their auto attack is on cooldown, you cancel the block and nova right away. To do so you can either check your scrolling combat text and wait for a lot of "immune" and then go out, or just watch out when the mobs are swinging and get ouf of block just after seeing a bunch of them hitting. It is very efficient when there are just a few mobs hitting your block, like here.
Nice Video. I tried DM East at 56 and it seems to be rlly difficult. I came back with 58 and it went a lot better. I dont have aKey to DM North so i suicide at the end of DM East and run back in at north. Takes 2 mins walking. If u have a demonic rune u could also use it for suiciding and not get any repair costs, or unequip.
If you can't zone out with a friend in group, you can log out for 5mins or so and log back in. You'll be at the zone door inside the instance. I usually get on an alt and farm ore/herbs during the wait.

This is an incredibly difficult farm. At level 57 with 2.4k hp both mana shield and ice barrier up I instantly eat shit and die after removing ice block even when attempting to time the swings. Trying to treat it like a ZF run does not work either as half the time the mobs just run right through your blizzard charging at you and don't even get hit (No 'resist' no damage taken, as if there was no blizzard at all) Even if you don't instantly die you will drop to 25%ish hp and have multiple bleeds on you that are more than enough to kill you unless you are going to use a 1g potion. And then you have to pray that you don't acidentally get too close when you nova and get hit from 20 feet away by all the mobs and instantly die. THEN you have to hope that the game actually registers your blizzard ticks and spell batching does not screw you over. I will give it a few more tries though.
@@CappyVLNT Well I Got better gear between then and now and have multiple pre raid BiS and gear I specifically got for this farm and I still instantly die. There is either something he is not telling us or this requires a ridiculous amount of skill to pull off.

I Am just gonna give up on doing this and try to get Scholo attuned so I can get some good Int Stam gear and maybe give it a shot later before I hit 60 or when I hit 60 as a gold farm. The only time I don't die is if I spam limited Invulnerability potion before letting ice block end. Even then I have yet to do an actual clear as half the time they are where their models are and the other half they are way ahead, and there is no way to tell. Maybe the server I am on is fucky I honestly don't know, but I spent 30g worth of LIP trying to do it and every time half the pack would blitz through from the end where they are just coming off of being slowed, go through the blizzard and continue on their merry way. I recognize this CAN be done by the many videos however after spending 5 hours 30g in LIP and 9g in repairs I am just going to throw in the towel, I do everything the exact same way, time the attacks ect. Oh well, it's just not for me I guess.
I aoe farmed at WPL lumbermill. on my high pop server, I barely had any other mage competing. there are 60s farming herbs run through there, but most of the time they leave u alone. once u figure out how to pull them and aoe them down, u can do them none stop.
Besides doing attunement as some said already, theres a AV quest where u need to kill one of each of the opposing races that gives a lot of xp. Also do the cloth turnins in major cities (u need 12 stacks wool, silk, mageweave and runecloth), also some decent xp. Lastly, I'd recommend doing the cauldron quests. At least thats my 54-57 strat :)
13 melee hit's at around 300 each is only 4500 damage that's AFTER the shields go down.,....so ya no clue how this is done unless you only stacking stam and even then
@@furydeath I was in the same boat until I got the hang of it. Now I very rarely die as lvl 57 with only 2.6k hp. Both shields up and positioned on the very edge of the ledge for iceblock. Wait until most have just hit hit you. Use iceblock aura cancel aura macro, immediately jump away and then frost nova. Good luck!
@@andrewbak08 Jump as in Using the key or walk down using strafe (A key)? I feel scamed every time, but at least you explained that it has to be near the edge, something he forgot to mention. Also, when do you see when it's time to cancel and go? Their time is 1.0 sec (more like 0.7 I think) so I go down as soon as it's at the start of the timer or before the very last ms?
@@Cri354 most important tip I can give you is that you pre rank 1 blizzard on approach. get them to arrive at the same average time and you just go right as you see the immunes appear on ur screen. You can technically run to the very back and just run off and rank 1 them and never get hit but its way harder to pack them that way.
@@Shadowfex It sucks but if you are doing it for xp just eat the gold cost in a limited invulnrability potion. Makes it a cinch. Even with raid gear I have 2,970 hp and the rip x 5 is enough to kill me from max hp even if I dodge all other attacks. It's a pain in the ass to be able to dodge all the attacks so I just use a potion.
I can explain that to you - If u want to reset by yourself, u let a person inv u and your alt, then make the person leave the group again so that only u and your alt is in the group. When u are done with the run, u log out of main and onto your alt - u wait for your alt to become group leader, then u reset dungeon and log onto your main again.
Health wont matter too much if you can time it correctly(if you're having a lot of trouble then buy a few Limited invur pots for safety), id probably go for 5k+ mana (just make sure you have 2 mana gems rdy!)
Wish i could jump down and shit. Iceblock way is terrible. you just get dotted up and when they come to you its not like they all hit at the same time. theres like 50 of em all hitting at different times!!!
Do NOT ICEBLOCK the dogs... aggro all of them and jump on the wall, rank 1 blizzard in the corner jump down and max rank blizzard when they are running away, rince and repeat about 4 times and they are dead.

cant recommend this. Dogs run trough your blizzard so you cant gather them. If your not on a private server your blizzard ticks behave differently and you will get at most one tick on those dogs before they reach you which is impractical and with Iceblock i cant time 40 swings so that i dont get hit by less than 6 of them as 6 hits kill me all the time. On a private server this might work cause leeway behaves different there as well. i got out of ice block save like 30% of the time but that is just unpredictable luck and after those 30% you have even less chances keeping all of them inside your blizzard. so this works 5% of the time on live servers. i might want to add that i lvled in zul farrak by cone of cold kiting where you need to time your Ice block as well but its no where near the timing you need here
Joke of a strat. The dogs kill you 50% of the time....nothing you can about it another than pop a LIP. I just dont understand how you can say if you have shields up it shouldn't happen. Im even putting in rank 1 bliz so all dogs reach block at same time.

you can do five resets the first hour -> four the following hours if you continue. Just fyi

tbh 2.4K hp aint much at level 57, my 55 mage already is at 2.7k hp and i might even get to 2.8k at level 57

at lvl 57 you get killed by 6 hits of those dogs ... its not practical gathering them with iceblock but with r1 blizzard

Do your MC and Ony attunements. Youll get at least 1 or 2 lvls. Then quest or aoe farm in WPL

This dog farm is easily the most shit unreliable farm for mage. Absolutely wouldn't recommend you try this unless you can stack LIP's

Try to Blizzard ON the ledge. In my first runs i did it on the corner (half top, half side) an too much Dogs didnt got hit by Blizzard
