- Back to some Guilliman content, and a real sad one this time!
Guilliman having such loving parents being such a blessing and a curse. They made him who he is today, the reason he is so level headed, yet they also exist as target for a galaxy as cruel as the Warhammer one.
A truly crushing moment.

My thanks for watching!
I've wanted to cover Guilliman's parents for a while and this was such a short, sad moment to do it with! Konor was truly a fantastic figure in Guilliman's life and seeing so much of the Primarchs life reflect the tragedy here, rhyming, if you will, is as narratively satisfying as it is sad to behold!
Please do like, comment and subscribe if you enjoyed! I am startlingly close to 10k and that is insane to me!
and, as always, my thanks for watching!
Konor Guilliman is the most influential man in the Imperium. He raised the man who would become Roboute Guilliman. You have to do the one about the coin.
Yep, without Konor and Tarasha, Roboute wouldn't be half the man he is today.
I do plan on it, for sure! I realised when editing the part of this story where it is mentioned, that I needed to add that to the list too!
My thanks for watching!
Konor gave every ounce of life he had left to protect Guilliman, and also tell him he loved him.
Guilliman is basically the only primarch to have a 2 parent home.
Luthor regretted that Lion el Johnson wasn’t able to raise With Luthors wife and Daughter too.
@@MrJara1018 Yeah; Luther often wondered how Lion might have turned out differently, had he found him a few years earlier when he was still a child and Luther's own wife and daughter were still alive.
The truly tragic thing is, konor didn't have to hold off guilliman at gun point.. He could've let him hold him coz the poison wouldn't work on guilliman..
He wasn't the stepdad, he was the dad who stepped up.
Yes. Next is Guilliman's mother. Guilliman truly had the legendary adoptive parents. Emperor and Erda with their powers and knowledge can't even get close 😅
Hoping to get to some Guillimom content soon, too! Tarasha is a force to be reckoned with!
My thanks for watching!
@@danielquintonvo Yeah, she was something else. A Spitfire with a silver tongue that could reduce the Lord of Ultramar to the moody teenager he'll always be in her eyes, and shame half of the senior command staff of the Thirteenth Legion into silence with her chastisement. Even if she didn't have any formal military authority, the Ultramarines knew better than to mess with or try to defy their grandma.
That's mainly because Erda is a retarded retcon that no one should consider canon.
@@LordCommander-ui2fw Indeed, there is no shame to be chastised with their grandma
I wonder if she has Honor Guards of Ultramarines looking at their grandma
Even as death came to claim Konor, he stared that bastard right in its empty sockets and said “Me. Not my son.
Not my son.”
Agreed.
I don't understand why Konor didn't shoot Consul Gallan at that moment. Maybe because it would have endangered G-Man down the line.
Roboute arrived too late to save his father, twice. It's bitterly funny when you think about it
Roboute only had one father… and that was Konor Guilliman. The emperor was his master and creator who wielded him like a tool. Never his father.
@@62sy User name checks out
@@62sythe emperor was still his biological father
And THRICE he'd been away when mutiny elevated his status. I'm sure that's just coincidence.
@@62syThe emperor looked at him as a son as well...the emperor actually loved his sons whichnis why when he fought horus the things he gave up and purged from his body was love and compassion so he wouldn't be held back from doing what he needed to do
The reason I love Warhammer30k/40k so much, is how human it truly is. Pain, sorrow, corruption, altruism, hope, despair, humor, love, hate, regret.. the human factor is timeless. Thank you for all your service!
I can't help but agree, a lot of it is written to just be fantastical and cool and over the top but none of that would matter if we didn't have the more human moments to connect us to the characters.
My thanks for watching!
How dare you make something so tragically beautiful.. this hurt every one of us, good sir..
I can only apologise, and thank you! aha
My many thanks, for the compliment and for watching!

Dear Author, please tell me where this passage comes from?
@@danielquintonvo
I've been wanting to read something like this about Guilliman for a very long time, but "Lord of Ultramar" is not the same thing.
0:52 and 3:15- Man, you really do a great job of conveying Guilliman's grief and horror in these moments. Especially in that last one, where Roboute actually sounds more like an animal than a human, much less a demigod.* Reminds me of a couple months ago, when a little boy in my neighborhood got run over. I didn't see it happen, but I heard the noises the father made, and I will never forget them.
Something to note here is that this is the youngest we ever see Roboute in 40k; when his path to glory had only just begun. I noticed that you made him sound younger, almost childlike in his grief and desperation, and that was an excellent choice in my opinion. Even the Primarchs were all children, once. Looking forward to future moments with Roboute and his foster parents; in particular, while the wholesome and heartbreaking stuff is always appreciated, I do hope you also remember to convey Tarasha Euten's Olenna-Tyrell-Levels of Snark and her nonexistent patience for tomfoolery, as we see when she reprimands the XIIIth Legion Command Staff for not observing proper protocol after her son is nearly killed by Alpha Legion Assassins.
* Reminds me of when Roboute infamously loses his temper at Frater Matthieu in Plague Wars for his actions during the Battle of Parmenio, and the Militant Apostolic becomes frightened by the inhuman growling that laces the Imperial Regent's castigations. Speaking of which, there are at least three moments in Plague Wars I would love to see you cover at some point:
1. Roboute and Mortarion's confrontation on the fields of Parmenio, and all of the venom exchanged between them.
2. Guilliman comforting the Child Saint Kalia in her final moments after she saved him from Mortarion( link here to a type-up I did of it if you have trouble finding it. forums.spacebattles.com/threads/an-honest-soul-rwby-warhammer-40k.930914/page-91?post=92295639#post-92295489 )
3. And of course, the aforementioned explosion of anger.
My many thanks! That all means a lot to hear, it was a struggle to try and convey a sense of grief, on top of keeping it 'Guilliman', and factoring in his age.
There are plenty of moments you touched on there I would love to cover, whether I had them planned or not (Those I didn't I shall certainly also add to the list!) It's a busy time for recording at the moment so I'm not sure when I can get to them but, rest assured they will be on the list somewhere!
My thanks for the fantastic comment, and my thanks for watching!
We should all Strive to be more like Lord Guilliman
Robot Gurlyman after HH: If if had a coin everytime I was too late to asve my father - I would've had two coins, but only got one.
If he had empire and status elevation everytime he was conveniently away, he'd have two empires, larger once - twice.
I didn't even know this guy existed before hearing this...now I know him intimately...bravo
I am glad I could be the one to introduce you, then!
My thanks for watching!
As both a father and a son this hits me so hard. My father would do the same for me, and I would do the same for my son. It’s something you can’t really explain to someone who hasn’t had a child but something changes in you when you first see them. This piece inside of you grows and you know deep down that you will do anything for that child.
He may have been your father boi, but he wasn't your daddy.
Konor Guilliman and Terasha Euten raised Roboute well, Roboute was raised with love, care, prestige, humility and responsibility. His adoptive parents raised him to be human and a decent one.
Recently discovered your channel, absolutely amazing work. Subscribed.
Thank you very much!
Seeing a video from you gets me so high even though that silky smooth voice is so low!
Many thanks! aha
“The day he handed me a coin and promised me I would never be alone…”
*Looks at 40k Guilliman.
Yup, that hurts.
Peel potatoes for guillimans father! Peel potatoes for bob! Peel potatoes for da emperor!!!🙏
Why was he keeping him away? A bomb? (Haven't read any books yet.)
Konor had been poisoned by a gas attack (Remember the chemical smell the Roboute couldn't recognize?) before they found him. He knew that if Roboute touched him he would be exposed to the toxin as well, so did the only thing he could to stop his son from dying with him. Of course, being a Primarch, the toxin probably wouldn't have affected Roboute, but Konor didn't know that.
@@silversurfer8818 thanks
@@sarahpearson1504 thanks for the explanation
poison, at that time either know about the primarch thingy yet
Alright - who did this? WHO DID THIS

Poison gas attack but his father didn’t know that Gullimen would’ve survived the gas yet as a final goodbye made sure his beloved boy was safe and one last message/reminder he’ll never be alone
