Tony Schwartz explained Trump's character and intentions correctly from the very beginning. In 2016 he was warning people. Not enough listened.
If this guy is right in what he is saying, supporters would not be safe when they become concern and start to go against him. They would need to pretend to be loyal in order to hope to stay safe. Meanwhile friends and family members would be at risk also.

Typically, a person cannot work for the CIA, FBI, or any position related to critical national security if they are heavily in debt, because it makes them compromisable.

To be honest, I've made similar statements. If Trump is re-elected, I'm close enough to retirement that I will stop visiting the USA on business (or for any other reason). I would not feel safe, perhaps for different reasons, but unsafe nevertheless. It was bad enough from 2016 to 2020. It would be MUCH worse a second time. I truly hope America is collectively smarter than that.
Don't have too high expectations of the voters, most people are dumber than you think. Individuals are more intelligent than groups in the grand scheme of things. Hindsight is a quality, inherent in all people.

I am a naturalized citizen, and I wish I had the choice to leave if Trump is elected. I have not felt safe here since 2016, when I first heard him threaten to take away citizenship of legal immigrants and deport them. I am now a senior citizen and don't have the means to leave. This man is a disaster for our country, and the world. It is terrifying to think he could win in November.

Everyone should read this book. I read it decades ago and have always had it on my top 3 most horrible books I've ever read, until now. It's still a terrible book, but having watched him over these past years as he decided to be President, it makes much, much more sense. He reveals everything about himself in that book. It has no value as a book about how to negotiate a deal, but if someone wants to be the most powerful person in the world, it's the go-to manual.
