A popular device used for quotation and storytelling.
This began on the *chan imageboards, where quoting text places a Less or Greater than symbol in front of it, turning it green. This effect can also be done manually. Before long, this feature was put to innovative use. When quoting another post, greentext is frequently used for summary, criticism, and ridicule. Its other major use is storytelling, in which a lengthy story is told through fragmentary statements in greentext.
Greentext became highly popular for both of these functions due to its convenience. When quoting a post, it is easier to summarize than to respond in full. When telling a story, stringing together sentence fragments is a grammatically easier alternative to prose composition (it also makes for lighter reading).
This feature has become so widespread that it is sometimes used outside of imageboards (eg TH-cam comments).

Humans lie but we believe their historical accounts. Why does that reasoning seem flawed?

@@readhistory2023 Logic is equivalent to math so it seems that as long as the premises are true and the the reasoning is sound and valid the conclusion should also be true.
In many cases as the premises can neither be established as true or false and therefore the conclusion of reasoning may not be true. Perhaps that is what you and my philosophy instructor are referring to.

Agro, every once in a while, you either mispronounce a word, or say it with your native ZA inflection, that really throws me off. This video contained one of those times. I had to think about it for a a few seconds to realize you said "deification", which I pronounce DEE-uh-fih-CAY-shun. Your reading sounded a lot like defecation (DEF-uh-CAY-shun) to my American ears... Made me giggle a bit.

Why does your voice go up and down throughout a sentence? When you end with an up tone it sounds like a question but you're just describing something; then the next sentence you are high then go low and quiet ending on the word tail. ? Why? It's like listening to a murder when all it should be is a conversation over tea. Again no offense, I have trouble hearing lyrics in a song so this kind of up and down speak is a mess for me to slog through. I'm not hard of hearing. Maybe less feeling till you get to the dialogue would help. I want to hear these stories.

I know this is an old comment of yours but you may have APD Auditory Processing Disorder or something similar. I have it. I have perfect hearing but struggle to heard people in movies. As the voices blend into the background noise same with certain types of music.
