I got some 3mm bungee elastic similar to the stuff used in kayaks and picture eyelets. you can then screw a loop of elastic into the board on one end with the eyelet and leave a screw 'proud' on the other end so you can loop the elastic over to hold the rods in. more work but slightly more convenient than rubber bands. another option is nacsan rod holders with velcro.

Hey man I was in your back yard the other day out in the tiny catching big Taylor on hard body. We put the boat in at Jacobs well and drove down the channel to south Stradie around jumpin pin. You should head there, there are some quality jeweys,jacks and Taylor around there so check it out bro. Again love the vid Tim your my idol .

I've made dozen different ways loved almost all. But I use PVC and work great but I didn't no you can buy them clips been looking I'm so glad you got some now I can add when I put my camper shell back in my truck. I made a vidoe and just showed how I got in my truck can hang dozen out the back just 12 pieces of pvc 8 in long. 2 2 by 4s and one rope and there in between the rales on the ladder rack hey they work. Yea out side but I placed sheet of plywood wood on top cause I'll set up there when fishing I have 4 rod holders up there gets my line way up and also I can lay down lol. But I slide my Jon boat on top so the wood helps keep the reels dry and helps the boat not nock around on the steel bars driving. But great rod rack my new way to try. Thanks god bless

id be reluctant to have all my rods showing in the car...someone could break in lol, but defs an awesome diy vid timmy!
i don't keep them all in the car only take the ones i need and also you can't see them from the outside unless you bend over and look up ;) cheers mate

Well.. that's pretty damn clever man!! Wish I had a bigger car then I do.. I just have a 03 chevy cavalier so I have to get my rods in however they fit in lol.. usually consists of sliding the handle and reel in first thru the back door towards the front and letting the handle and reel rest on the front console by the windshield and then carefully bending the tip of the rods in and puttin the tips in the back window or vice versa... and I try to put the middles of the rods on the sides of the drivers and passengers seats to support them in the middle and it's a PITA to load and unload lol.. I really like your idea man bc you could just leave your equipment in your car and the average thief probably wouldnt even be able to see them in the dark up on the inner roof like that.. I've had thousands of dollars stole out of my car in tackle rods and reels bc I was tired after trips and didnt want to mess with unloading the mess because lines are always tangled up around other rods and lures wrapped around other rods etc. Very awesome video sir... thanks from the states.. wv to be exact
