This brought back memories, I asked my sister to please make some cookies. I was staying with her for the summer I was probably 10 years old. She let me make a few and I loved them.
This was a GREaT tutorial!!!! I made these only one time as a kid and was afraid to try again, but you and Angelica made it looks so simple. I'll have to get an iron and give it a go when I do my Krumkake this year.
My Mom made those when I was a kid. From what I remember them being very good, especially with dusted with powdered sugar!! How do you store theses and how long do they stay crunchy?
I would love to say I know the answer to that question first hand... but they were literally gone by the end of the night... LOL BUT you are supposed to store them in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
We had a great discussion on what oil is best that i had to cut out for time. Ultimately the best oil is peanut/canola... but avocado worked really well.

We enjoyed seeing/hearing your friend Angelica showing us how to make those beautiful cookies.
I love Angelica!!! She and her family are such a blessing to us!
Kitchen Supply has so many designs for rosette irons too! They're USA made and will last a lifetime. These look delicious! 😍
Oh really? I may have to pop over there and check you out!
