Thanks mate, your video plus some other tips 'n tricks helped me replace my old used pitch fader with a new one. am happy right now coz i am able to use my second TT again :) cheers and greets from berlin/germany
great video as always.. there are two tiny spacer washers though that sit on the screw holes, which hold the fader to the deck.. this helps the green light sit flush to the top panel. watch for the little buggers disappearing when you remove the circuit board.. Thank you Viper Frank for all the technics vids.. :)
Very helpful. This is how easy i was expecting the process to be but I was scared to mess with it. I paid $100 to get mine chaged out and I'm having problems again. This time I'll work on it myself!
Hey man, big thank you for the video, replaced both of my pitch sliders, saved a few quid and if it were possible it's made me appreciate my beloved decks even more after 15 years of having them, legend!
James, you're incredible man! You're channel is a wealth of resources for us DIY DJ's! Thank you so much. Here's a question: I know that you can adjust the overall speed of an MKII to about 12% with the PITCH pot located under the platter. But is there any way to make it go to 16% without other major modifications? If not, what modifications would I need to perform to make her go to the beat of +/-16% ? Thanks mate!!!
I have the 1200 M3D where is the brown wire supposed to go LTD or like the MK2 at the first brown... I got these TTs second hand so I am not sure were it goes.. I also have the service manual but due to contrary videos they are saying that the adjustments are supposed to be different on the M3Ds then the MK2... Thanks for your help!
again, nice one @viperfrank . Hoping you might be able to shed some light on my issue? On my 1210 mk5 the pitch fader has gone stupid, likely one of my mongo mates has split liquor down there whilst merkled at a party. The fader is not as bad as yours, but is sticky and the rpm dots wobble massively at points. I tried flushing it with a can of compressed air and it works for a bit, is there a solvent or cleaner you can recommend before I attempt the pitch fader swap? Cheers.
Alright James , there is an adjustment switch on my pitch fader circuit board almost the same as the one used for adjusting the STOP function , was wondering if you knew what that was used for ?
hi there, sorry for taking so long to reply iv had dodgy internet for a wile, as for your question depending on the age of the turntable the pitch fader of a 1200 MK2 might fit but there is a pitch fader designed for the M3D a google search should find you somewhere you can source the fader from. hope this helped and thanks for the comment. nice one!!!
Hi James, there's a couple of little mad points on my 1200's pitch fader, is it worth trying a spray cleaner or just replacing the entire fader as its stripped for painting anyway? Thanks for these videos mate, they're much more help than the service manual!!
Hi Nice vid, I've just purchased a new pitch control plus the the cable already soldered into the circuit board. Took out the old pitch control with its' cable, and just replaced with the new one. But here's the problem - the pitch doesn't work at all! basically it stays at zero no matter where I move the pitch, and that the light remains constantly on. Any suggestions?
Hello James I have a question about Pitch Adjusters that are for sale on various websites. Some have the circuit board attached and others do not, so which one should i buy as my pitch adjuster on one of my technics 1210s is speeding up on it's own when @ zero, and the green light sometimes flashes at the same time. Should i purchase just the pitch adjuster for my deck or with the circuit board attached, It's confusing me what to do mate. What do you think?
sorry for the double post - but i have my replacement control, but with no PCB (circuit board) attached - all i have is the slider - any tips on swapping out this bit only ?
Viperfrank, help... my 1210 mk5 has a fluctuating pitch problem between -6 to -2 values after warming up 2 hours, it will fluctuate. if i slide it all the way -8 it goes at 0(regular speed) thought it was the slider and replaced it thanks to your videos.. but it still does the same thing... any ideas? thanks
Great video. Any chance that you might be able to post another link to where I can get the right part from? There's plenty for sale without the circuit board. They're cheaper, but the ones with the circuit boards seem to be twice the price. Any help, massively appreciated.
hey man.. i just wanna ask something ..is the new 1200mk2 pitch sliders compatible with the late 80s model of technics sl1200.?thanks man.. appreciate it if you could help me with this one

My pichfader is exactly broken like that and i wonder if its possible for me to fix it myself. i found a replacement part for 78€ (Reloop RP-7000 main pcb .. the fader is ajusted on that circuitboard) .. damn i should have bought technics ;)

no worries mate, i can do that, the silk screen markings the Technics boards are not very clear so quite a few people get caught out on this one. i will try to do that asap. thanks for your comment.
