If you're talking about the roundhouse combo, it's because I plink LK~LP, which gives me two LK inputs. It has more range so I generally always go with it.
Very nice tutorials for the Vortex! They should have tutorials like this on SSF4 or as a bonus dvd. Editing is on point, it's easy to follow and might help new players move on from flowcharting that Ken, lol.

that double dash mk demon kick shit is priceless Great video. I tend to throw an airfireball and follow it up with demon flip kick to get vortex going too.. works great.
For the EX-Air fireballs, when in the corner if you hit with both (or sometimes one), and if you're jumping towards them you can actually land in time to charge up focus attack to level 2, and score an ultra Demon. Pretty unlikely it'll ever happen in an actual game.

Also just an opinion but when I tick throw to super I don't put in the overhead, I just tick it in the cr.jabs, walk forward then pull it out. I don't think I've failed with it yet.
I seem to delay the jabs enough to put a little pause in when I walk, then bam put in f+lk+hp. I can delay it as much as you do at 7:40 in the vid, sometimes it feels like it's longer. Just using the delay between the last jab and the lk, unless maybe it gives me more frames to input after the walk forward is inputted so it still waits however many frames til the lk is needed.
@jcgonzmo you missed one of the best tips from this whole thing,the reason it shows lp and lk when you land next to an opponent is because if they try to throw you while they get up,you will tech the throw,if not lk will come out and you can continue.

when you do that forward throw and then dash twice into mk demon filp dive kick, I noticed you were stuffing Ryu's lp shoryuken but what happens if he throws out hp shoryuken?
How can you walk forward after cr.jabs and demon with no normal coming out? I highly doubt you're tsuji demoning right in their face. If you buffer the demon into the jabs then that is not a tick demon. There has to be a pause between the jabs and demon, otherwise they'll be able to escape.

Indeed, the forward throw trick inspired me to make a video about it, so I just said hey might as well make an entire vortex video.
Best vortex for Gen is teleport away on knockdown. Teleport away on jump-in, and teleport away when 3/4 screen away, just to be sure.
Oh and that heart exploding technique wake up is just too sweeeeeettt!

Usually I use HK yes, but LK and MK both work as well.
