    I love how Tokido's 'home' is Snowy Rail Yard, Kiryu Tsukimiya's 'home' is Old Temple, and Bullcat's 'home' is Solar Eclipse. They start to bring some more personality to the game in my opinion.

    This video shows how much the game has evolved over the past few years. The amount of demon flips that went unpunished in this video blew my mind.
    Great video though, gotta love Tokido's Akuma.

    • @protonjones54
      @protonjones54 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I wouldn't say unpunished, more like, unchecked. It's not like demon flip has negative frames, unless of course some idiot uses the default sweep from it.

    he's the one who inspired me to make my akuma better. its not easy to keep up that pace and execution. great video thanks for making it. its like a nice quick reference guide for keeping up the vortex.

    his combos have such a spectacular flow. most of his kills end with tatsumaki into ex shoryuken. that was some amazing gameplay.

  • @0ShinAkuma0

    It can be either light punch or medium punch. The cr. light punch is a little easier to connect for me, but the range isn't as far as the cr. medium punch. The farthest range (hitbox) after a standing Hard Kick is the cr.light kick, but it's harder to connect than both cr.mp and cr.lp, so you gotta pick your spots!
    And thanks man, your one of the original viewers of this channel, so I try my best to reply even though I don't upload anymore. :)

  • @monkeyphang
    @monkeyphang 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    No, and I never said the attacks weren't blockable. The fact of the matter is if you are having trouble blocking the right way for the attack then parrying isn't going to help you as you have to guess the right direction to press to parry the attack. Please think before you reply.

  • @0ShinAkuma0
    @0ShinAkuma0  14 ปีที่แล้ว

    @solidbeaver .... because a sweep enables you to work the vortex...you can't quick get up from a sweep, so you're able to continue your mix-ups on the opponent that is waking up for more damage over all...as you can see, tokido is confident enough that he skips guaranteed damage like a fancier longer combo so he can continue to apply the vortex for more simple combos which equals more damage overall...only time i see tokido dp after lk tatsu is when the dp damage will win the round for him.

    Thats the demon flip mixup. He can do a number of things and you basically have no choice but to guess. He can do a kick to the front of you, to the back. He can do neither and simply throw you. He could not do anything, land and then go straight into crouching jab attack. It's probably the most vicious vortex in the game.

  • @omanah
    @omanah 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    I think I can translate, I read derp. "Your is dope bro. I'm an Akuma fan and I'm recently playing with him. Now I'm playing with your tactics and I'm winning so thanks for this vid."

  • @0ShinAkuma0
    @0ShinAkuma0  12 ปีที่แล้ว

    It's a little hard to explain, but I'll try! What I do is press H.K. then a slight slight pause then press M.K. and H.K. at the same time or any two combination of Kick buttons that is easiest for you on the controller. It's almost like a roll of the fingers or a double tap with a minimal pause in between. You'll get the timing with just a little practice. Let me know if it helps! :)

  • @ClickForOutkast

    @cyborgLIS I read it on Shoryuken com and other websites, and yes my neighbour has a Xbox and I have a PS3, you can notice the differences between the input delays.

  • @LoyalSol
    @LoyalSol 14 ปีที่แล้ว

    @Matsute
    He doesn't want to play the SSF4 Akuma because he is afraid it will mess up his SF4 Akuma because of the differences between the two. So he is playing Ibuki and Dhalsim in SSF4 till SBO.

  • @GreeneHouseProductions
    @GreeneHouseProductions 13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @Tungchu92 its apart of his demon flip options.. to demon flip you input forward, down, forward, plus a kick button..(shoryuken motion with kicks..) while akuma is in the air... if you press any punch he will demon plam, if you press any kick he will dive kick... and if you press throw he will throw the opponent.. (it cant be techd)

  • @mimickme
    @mimickme 14 ปีที่แล้ว

    @iBringHurTz It's a untechable knockdown, its basically cr hk around the same timing as you would pull off the DP, theres not too much of a window to do it and sometimes tokido does miss it. If you have turbo set it on HK and just hold it after a light tatsu to get a feel for the timing of it.

  • @JanembaJanemba

  • @redxmaverick
    @redxmaverick 14 ปีที่แล้ว

    @jvkenshin416 That is the normal forward jump dive kick. You can tell the difference by the sound of demon flip kick and the normal dive kick make when they connect. Demon Flip Dive Kick sounds like you got hit by a heavy attack and the normal dive kick sounds like you get hit by medium attacks.

  • @ItzMiike
    @ItzMiike 14 ปีที่แล้ว

    @Nalkjn2 i dont know the exact name of the move but its a cross up. theyre not sure whether they have to block their front side or back side or whether he's even going to throw them. it is blockable but its like a guessing game to determine where.

  • @jvkenshin416
    @jvkenshin416 14 ปีที่แล้ว

    Is he demon flipping and doing the dive kick during those vortex when the opponent is getting up or is he just doing the normal jump forward to dive kick version? for example in 7:53 - 7:55 of the last match with the Sagat match,did he do a command demon flip or just a jumping forward to dive kick? I can't seem to tell the difference.

  • @atlame
    @atlame 14 ปีที่แล้ว

    @Skullomonkey
    With sweep, you add more stun to the combo, and the vortex can go on. Thats why sweep > shoryu after the light tatsu.
    But It can't be done with every caracter (I think it's impossible with rufus..)
    Also, the timing is pretty strict, u'll have to plink the sweep..

  • @Jyagos1
    @Jyagos1 13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @F1zZy I would think the damage may be negligible since the sweep is "safer". Less chance of enemy counters so it's almost a sure thing.

  • @Galford199
    @Galford199 13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @EnvitoScotsman ... ha ha, if you're an akuma mainer, this vid isn't boring, it's pretty helpful to helping your vortex game...and besides, i didn't title it "tokido's best comebacks" just a best of vid, and what tokido is best at, is the vortex game. :-)

  • @Matsute
    @Matsute 14 ปีที่แล้ว

    @LoyalSol Huh? That doesn't make much sense to me.
    Unless you mean that he restricted himself to ONLY SFIV until SBO, and hasn't played SSFIV.

    He's saying that Akuma's cross-ups would still work against the parry mechanic, since the victim would still have to guess which way to parry. Also I'm sure Tokido would mix up his play style if parry was in this game...

    Hey shin, just wondering, how do you find every single tokido replay? Is he on XBL or PSN? So basically everyday you search for his gamertag? Or what kinda thing do you do to track him and save replay? :S

  • @meu02136
    @meu02136 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    It's interesting to watch his knowledge of stun. The first two round were as good as you can possibly play with Akuma, maximized every stun combo, read the jump back, the wake-up hurricane kick. It's not a brainless, online autopilot. It's a well-oiled tank on autopilot.

  • @ClickForOutkast
    @ClickForOutkast 14 ปีที่แล้ว

    @aglive07 "Horrible" is terribly exaggarated, I live in europe and I never have lag problems.
    The difference is that the 360 has a 4 seconds input delay and the PS3 has a 5 seconds input delay so a 360 player has problems with the PS3.
    Note: The Arcade Edition has 5 seconds input delay aswell.

    @UCantCena i have no idea why you would want to do a demon flip to a shoryuken anyway to it you have to ex demon flip then do the palm just before you hit the ground to cancel it then shoryuken

  • @gamezob

    I just realized how dangerous and overpowered Gouki's vortex was.

    • @cmurphy0707
      @cmurphy0707 หลายเดือนก่อน

      In many ways in SF6 it still is. It’s a bit more manageable because now everyone has a wake-up option with Drive Reversal but it doesn’t make it any less dangerous.

  • @wccira

  • @PChrisGi
    @PChrisGi 14 ปีที่แล้ว

    you can crouch block all akumas move after the demon flip so you can just block everything he does and the air grab whiffs on crouching opponents which is why he does regular jump in's with d+mk which looks like the demon flip kick so that's the only thing you have to look out for and block high everything else just block low

    Gouki may have a grand old time putting his godlike pressure, he's also real fragile and when you make a wrong guess, you're sure to pay dearly for it. When you make two, at this level, well... that gives us this.

    @femtau so he can set up his mix up game. srk>redball doesn't do much damage plus the opponent has a better chance of getting back up cause it creates more space. also he likes to save meter for standing fierce>fireball>fadc> standing light tatsu sweep/srk for max dmg.

  • @wccira
    @wccira 14 ปีที่แล้ว

    @hohihaho Because most players dont know what is coming. Take that first sagat for example, he tried to uppercut tokidos jump in and it completely whiffed. The most subtle aspect of Tokido's vortex is the impeccable zoning he uses on his opponents. So you they could AA and risk the chance of missing and then take a punish that consumes 1/2-1/3 of their health or just block and take their chances so they can maybe stop the vortex.

  • @Nalkjn2
    @Nalkjn2 14 ปีที่แล้ว
