How beautiful was that snow fall, picturesque!! - snowscary.. oh my gosh holding our breath watching this one. So lucky that family was there and Steve was all over it!
We were very grateful for that large truck, as we may have been waiting a long time for the ice on the road to melt. Having no traction was very scary, especially when your breaks don't stop you from sliding.
Thank you JBG, did I mention May? It was August that we were there. It was one of those experiences that we still talk about today. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.
Oh gosh! Was this the road to island bend campground?? My friends & I are planning to go next week with a 4by and caravan and my 2 wheel front drive.. i guess I’ll be putting chains on!
@@Cruzeoverland hello Cruze, this video was taken over 6 years ago and NP rules have changed significantly over the years since then for droning. To apply for a permit you will need to contact NP’s at least 10 days prior and in some cases there are no fees involved, it all depends on the weight of your drone & what you plan to use it for. I hope this helps.
@@gibbosroadtripadventures ah thank you. I know you can take off on private land and fly over NP as NP doesn’t control airspace, CASA does that. Thanks.

Chains work really well in the mud also just a real bastard to clean though
I can imagine.
I would call August Snow not May Snow. Lovely video and Stevey G is so hands on with everthing and his driving skill in a slide well executed. JBG

@@aesthetic-se6rv yes it was, maybe call National Parks to check how the roads are before you go.
Lucky to get away with that. I guess at least you learned to carry chains at all times
@@gqwarrior6694 agree, definitely would get some for the van if we ever venture to the snow again.
How did you get the permissions to fly in National park. Was it easy ??
