Awesome having those tanks planted, for winter!! That is our main goal eventually at our place. We have a well, goes down deep. THe problem is the well-head housing can freeze, so we have to cut it off- in 32 degrees or below, to preserve the pump from breaking. We have a solution, but it's not cheap....to be determined. Great to see ya'll doing it. Water is the MOST important resource, that and the air we breath.
I hope you can implement your plan. You’re absolutely correct, water is crucial for any homestead. What’s awesome is depending on ourselves for our water source and depending on the “system”. Happy off gridder! 😀
Looking good. That’s one thing I miss by not living on the road system, having gravel delivered or rent large equipment. Hope you all have a great week too.
You really lucked out on that soil... sand? Our property we have about 3 feet of top soil and then its big chunky granite and clay. Looks like you're really doing it right. I'll be watching, we have this project next year to do. Just finally got a well dug. $$$
Just found your channel. I’m very curious how your water tanks did last winter? We are down south of Coeur d’Alene and are doing a similar water storage system.
@@Benthitchfarm the tanks are performing well! We got a little freezing on the top of the water, but never had any other issues. We had water all winter.
💥 Keep your water tank valve from freezing! 👉 th-cam.com/video/_l0tjCVcisE/w-d-xo.html
The LS tractor does a pretty decent job.
YOU did an awesome job!
Yes it is a good idea to prevent your water from gfreezing
Fingers crossed 🤞
Beautiful country. 🌻💕🌻
We love it!
Great work to Stu and you Toni! Wait till you see where we put our 2500 water storage at. Glad you guys won’t need to travel for water this winter.
Can’t wait to see! It’ll be sooooo nice not hauling water this winter! Super excited 😊

Thank you Jeromy!

I never thought about that! That makes it hard to build your homestead. You two are amazing!
Oh and youtube didn't notify me of this being posted...glad you put it on your fb page
Darn YT! I wasn’t going to post it on FB either. Wanted to experiment if YT would push it more if not posted on FB. 🤷♀️
That tractors certainly come in handy as I wouldn’t like to dig that out by hand.
Haha! That’s exactly what I told Stu!
Great video! Love the fast motion packing, so satisfying haha.
Thank you Stacy!!! 😀
What an awesome wood shed..👊
Love our woodshed!! 🥰
Great video you guys!!!
Good project!
Big and exciting project...You've come a long way...what would you do without your tractor-backhoe?
We definitely would not have dug it by hand 😅🤣

We got extremely lucky with the sand. Generally we have boulders and shale.
Fingers crossed we won’t have to haul this winter! Very exciting!
@@stuartrinker PERFECT planning on that spot!
@@BreakingFreeOffGrid LOL getting spoiled now
Nice work! It's always a challenge to get things ready for the winter! In fact, I need to get back to ours to get it winterized soon!
Too much to do before winter! Never had to prep for winter like this before lol!
@@BreakingFreeOffGrid Yup! The mad dash before the freeze!
Great view
Love the music!!
I love the jazzy sound!

@@BreakingFreeOffGrid thats great. Were you worried about venting at all with the top iced over and the water being pulled out at the bottom?
@@Benthitchfarm the lids on ours have vents. I’m sure you could add another vent if needed.
I need a tractor….
Yes! You do! Save your back a little 😉
