Coquina Beach Walk - March 12, 2024

A walk at Coquina Beach on Anna Maria Island in Bradenton Beach, FL on March 12, 2024. The park is located at 1438 Gulf Dr S, Bradenton Beach, FL 34217. Parking is limited and the bridges to Anna Maria Island get very congested so I would highly recommend biking if it is an option.
Coquina has a beautiful setting with the Longboat Pass to the south and broad stretches of light sand meeting the light blue Gulf on the west. The water was very calm and seemed great for swimming and floating. Piers reach out into the water in places so walking has some challenges but is worth it for the views and dividends to photography that bright sun, wide horizons, and high contrast landscapes can offer.
