Piggly Wiggly could take over these Maryland grocery stores

A new grocer could be coming to Maryland as Piggly Wiggly is in talks to take over four stores across the state. Kroger and Albertsons released a list of Harris Teeter stores they plan to transfer to the owner of Piggly Wiggly. Four Maryland Harris Teeter stores could switch to Piggly Wiggly. They include two locations in Germantown and Olney in Montgomery County and two locations in Dunkirk and Easton on the Eastern Shore. The deal is not finalized as Kroger, Albertsons and C&C Wholesalers need to approve the transfer.
