    I can't thank you enough for these instructions. So helpful. I did set this up one day a while ago to see what was tearing up my compost only to find that it was nothing mysterious only my 2 spoiled chickens. I've lost the instructions and now I want to set this up for the bird feeder. I've had such trouble setting it up again until I found you. Thanks again.

    Really useful, I've got two other sorts but a social media pal got this - as the brand I use was harder to source - and I saw the price and swooped. I have no idea what I did wrong at first but I filmed a series of really unflattering shots of me by accident before I got to my beloved hedgehogs - which have got me through the pandemic (to date) The cameras enabled to see that rats were targeting one of the under cover food stations, I've adapted since and it's worked so far, now a hedgehog has moved into the new hedgehog house, hopefully to hibernate. He/she laboured eight hours overnight to stock the place with leaves rather than my meagre offerings. This camera enabled me to see all that - and realise just how popular the house was and how hard that hedgehog worked. I now regularly leave leaves - that sounds weird - around the house in case he needs further insulation. Thank you for this guide, it helped as it's slightly different to my Apeman trail cameras. I really like the usb link for downloading too as using a desktop Mac.

    Thank you , setting up on informal wildlife survey on outer cape Cod, hoping for foxes and coyotes. I loved seeing the animals in your garden!

    This has been a very big help. Got a pair of these, and have not been able to get any photos and have not been able to set it up right. Now I see where I have messed up and was not able to get any pictures of anything. Thank you for doing this video.

    Hi. Loved the cat and the badger.
    I just got this for Christmas. I have it on low sensitivity but it takes videos all the time. Even left in an empty room it starts another video immediately after the lag time is up - continuously till the battery is done. Do you think it's faulty? Or have I done something stupid. Great if you can help .

      Ah. I fixed it by resetting it and starting again.

    So the masking tape just goes over the 2 in the top middle? I like the sample videos you have way better than others I have seen with no tape. Thanks for the video.

      That's where I put the tape after some trial and error experimentation. It may be that in the environment you use your camera you might find that there is some arrangement for the tape that works better for you

      @@WiltshireGardenWildlife made me smile too! Now off to site the camera for the nightly monitoring - what I'm really interested in is the fact the video setting shows more, than the camera mode, of how the hedgehogs interact around and with food. The bowls may be empty each morn because of cats by night, magpies and gulls by early morn, and hedgehogs settling for food they really didn't fancy first time out. I'm changing the diet!! I'd opted for pix most of the time simply to save card and battery life - but I much prefer the videos. They really give you insight.

    Hi what batteries do you find work best? Would energizer 2000mah rechargeable ones be good?

    • @WiltshireGardenWildlife
      @WiltshireGardenWildlife  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I use 2400mAh rechargeables and have never had a problem with them. Lower capacity rechargeables can cause problems, mostly they just don't last very long. There are physical size issues with some makes of AA rechargeables, for example Duracell-branded AA rechargeables are physically just too large to fit in a T20. I did a video last year on powering wildlife cameras which can be found at th-cam.com/video/RaJ_wj_vGdI/w-d-xo.html which you might find helpful. It covers issues about the different batteries.

      @@WiltshireGardenWildlife Ok thank you I'll have a watch later. I bought a T20 after watching this video and I'm really pleased with it :)

    what is masking tape is that the light brown tape doesn't this block the light completely putting tape over it

    • @WiltshireGardenWildlife
      @WiltshireGardenWildlife  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The masking tape only blocks a small part of the infra-red light but it also scatters it a little to spread the beam out from the LEDs. This means the brightness in the middle of the picture/video is reduced.
