    Colgera proves that you don't need a hard boss to have a good boss

      A lot of Zelda bosses are good but easy bosses, Koloktos from SS comes to mind, Twinrova from OOT, I would rather have a fun boss than one that’s hard to beat.

      @@LostTomorrows Twinrova still stands as one of my favourite in any games. It's just so epic. Discovering the unique ability of the shield, the witches fusing mid-fight, the music, the funny outro of the fight...
      Colgera is also great for its size, music and just the way you have to fight it. Can't wait to see the other bosses of the game.

    I don't care if the boss was easy or not. When you're falling out of the sky and this thing appears and hits you with the sickest boss theme in the game, you lose your shit. I know I did, and so far, no other boss in totk has achieved that level of epicness and satisfaction. Like goddamn, I love the flying triple pancake with pincers.

      @@sycamore4676 indeed, but I can't remember the last time a Zelda game gave us a hard boss. Some of them were hard way back when I was a kid, but not anymore. I guess the next title should improve on that front. At least Gleeoks are so much fun to fight.

    • @conanedogawa4798
      @conanedogawa4798 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Cheese it? While I agree that being easy does not detract from how fun this boss is for it's everything, but cheese it? There's no cheesing it, the guy is just a pushover.
      The only trial and error to the fight is throwing your hands up once you realize your arrows aren't doing anything and you need to find a weak point. Then, notice the texture of his back when he launches his spikes is the same as the ice you jump on in order to break, which is something you will have actually been required to do in order to climb the ascending islands to reach this boss in the first place.

    • @conanedogawa4798
      @conanedogawa4798 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ok, correction. I just watched a gameplay video of someone else playing and figured out how to really cheese this guy. What I just told you is the intended way of fighting him.
      That said, even using the intended method, this guy is ridiculously easy. My stance is that fighting him properly makes him just easy enough to be fun as you kick back and enjoy the spectacle.
      If you cheeze the guy theough, that just ruins the fun. That said, fighting him properly takes too darn long if all you're doing is farming his reincarnations in the depths for their claws.
      I say fight him properly when you do the real boss fight in the temple, and cheeze him in the depths.

    • @conanedogawa4798
      @conanedogawa4798 ปีที่แล้ว

      Haha, ok, I just discovered that the legit way of fighting this guy gets stupid easy as well once you get the glide suit. With that thing, even with a single piece of it, the updrafts are enough to maintain altitude while you flit around him like you're a Rito and just smash through his weak points.

  • @Serno-bt1ry

    I wish it was a harder boss battle instead of 2 shots with arrows dealing 1/3 of its hp. Like destroying 3 things and then waiting for him to go trough a portal from below and then do a sword attack from above to stick a sword into his forehead . Fire design tho

      I think it's Nintendo's way of basically forcing you into this boss fight, you aren't normally ready for something on par of a Blight in BotW until you get better armor, weapons, more health, ect. But Colgera is more a glorified cinematic boss ANY bow will work against it, you instantly regen stamina, can always enter bullet time, even your sage partner helps out, and if you run out of ammo you can dive bomb straight into it's weak points.
      Honestly, the real fight is getting to it in the first place.
