Trailblazer from Star Rail speaks on their own, with nobody needing to speak on their behalf. And now in Honkai Impact 3rd's main story Part 2 getting the Dreamseeker MC, once I saw her ingame, she is perhaps one of MiHoYo's best written self-inserts. Despite being a self-insert, she speaks a ton, no needing influence from the player's choices, acting not like a self-insert
Star Rail is such a well-calculated shitpost that this sort of thing is just a natural progression of the in-game shenanigans Like, in-universe the Trailblazer wields a baseball bat as their main weapon and canonically sells figures of themself as a knight riding a trash can These are the same devs who made an entire major character out of L+Ratio and they pulled it off fantastically, I’m not sure if there’s any meme they *can’t* do
