- After the endless weapons, graphics, inventory or trading mods, it's truly refreshing to have an actual brand new and original feature: an in-game chat to talk with fellow stalkers!
A small taste of what multiplayer could be, at least in terms of community. Talk with Stalkers in your faction, get death messages when somebody is killed and transfer money to help each others!
Can't recommend this new mod enough!
If you want to use specific commands you can type /commands to see the list. Then you can type /help [your command] to see how the command is used.

There literally will be multiplayer in Ray of Hope, it literally says "Q: Will there be offline co-op?
A: Contrary to our previous statements, there will be no co-op in Ray of Hope." this means no Private servers or peer to peer (which sucks in its own right) but right bellow that it says "Q: What type of servers will there be in the game? A: There will be public servers only, separate ones for Russian and EU communities. Players will have the chance to try out both regular and RP servers." Ive seen someone on the Ray of Hope page one our after the video released mocking the devs for not having multiplayer

@@luisrosraio9108 Oh no don't worry, I remember when Ray of Hope was announced yearssssss ago to be super excited about it and was seriously bummed after hearing about the multiplayer and more or less stopped following development.

Yeah . I heard about the imo dump decision to make it an mmo game . I was hoping for the original anomaly playable with friends . But sadly not gonna happen . But there is another project rn I believe called RAD or so
CO-OP stalker actually sounds like such a dream, just imagining setting up ambushes or attacking outposts and camps or looting some of the scarier areas of the series all with a buddy sounds so fun.

Or having other players hunting you. It would make the game feel so much more real. You never know if there's another real person stalking you or waiting for the right moment to strike. Would make the game so much more intense.
Imagine if someone died, there is a chance that a cross spawns at the position for other players, telling the name of the player, cause of death and how long ago and it may contains a random item, the player carried... or a special trader, that sells every item, players sell to him, higher rep gives access to better gear... this passive multiplayer alone gives endless possibilities already and preserves the loneliness in the zone.
I don't know how feasible it would be technically, but the way you describe it damn, that would be absolutely amazing.
The world would be populated by crosses. Anomalies would just be a bunch of crosses pilled up in the middle of the grass
Or when you die to a psydog for example, there is a chance, one spawns for other playes there and if you skin it, you'd find a human head, or arm as a hint... or when you're in Cordon at Garbage exit and some other player is fighting in Garbage near Cordon exit, you hear distant shots in the distance in your Cordon... endless possibilities

Yes, please. I mean, that would be very cool also if we had like a hub where players can come together and maybe exchange items and such, like in game Yanov station for instance where everyone spawns for PvE. Or Cordon or maybe even Faction dependent and then to maybe have an option to opt into a multiplayer version of co op where PvP factions can fight each other I mean...
Knowing people, and assuming what they can do and want to do in certain context literally nothing is impossible.
Here's to hoping that Stalker 2 will make multiplayer happen
There's XR Multiplayer Extension too, don't know when that's coming out either.
The closest I've seen to that are the DayZ servers ..there's quite a few maps based on stalker

We can all imagine that everyone is in their own universe but some how the scientists in the zone figured out a way for all the stalkers to talk even if they aren’t part of their universe!

This reminds me of something like Synthetik, Where you could be playing a largely single player game but still be having conversations with people who are also doing their own play throws of the game

It kinda reminds me of death stranding’s multiplayer, where the game is about this lonely vibe, but you can see structures and signs left by other players
This is actually so awesome. Global chat is a big contributor to what makes mmo's feel like an mmo even if you are grinding by yourself, and to have it in stalker makes So much sense. And even if you are too shy to speak maybe, youll still feel like you are in a real world
For now, RAD Multiplayer project is the closest thing to "Stalker co-op experience". RoH is 8 years old and we didn't see that much, while RAD is relatively new project and you CAN PLAY it. That's right, you can check it yourself if it's good or not (but only if servers are running, obviously).
RAD is to be avoided, the guys are using miners and actively banning people left and right for no apparent reason, apparently just leaving their discord means you get banned, so yeah, hard pass buddy.
I actually like this alot more then just regular multiplayer.

The chat is the best part of the mod, not only your going to laugh at it. It's only pretty chaotic. Also eases up the tension and loneliness of the zone.

You should totally be able to invade other people's games as a pre-generated Stalker. Like a bandit, a mercenary, or Monolith, depending on where you are in the game

you can use it with mod organizer, simply install with mod organizer, add the new executable as new executable, launcher the executable and then launch the game like you would usually, that work perfectly.

Dude, even though it isn't a true multiplayer, I'm having fun interacting with the other stalkers. I even gave some cash to someone because of the joke he wrote.
I need to try some of these mods, Shadow of Chernobyl has kind of given me all the content that it's going to.

Stalker Multiplayer Extension is still in development, and unlike Ray of Hope it will actually allow for creation of your own dedicated servers.

I wonder if since this mod allows you to share messages over the PDA, could it also trigger players to have the same weather at the same time? Have one person act as the "lead" weather, and when weathers like rain or whatever happens to them, change it for other players in the group.

It would be cool if stalker 2 had something like Dark Souls where you can see people like ghosts, but they don't interact with you or the world.
I thought ray of hope was all about multiplayer? their play tests had two player characters in the world at the same time fighting mutants recently? Any more information on this?
will be co-op, not multiplayer, so that's the sad thing :C, so you could play with your friend but not with more people around the world like you would play on a common game server, for example, on DayZ there are some servers with stalker based maps, so you can simulate that part, but that's another whole game :C

it would be interesting from a role play perspective, but it is so easy to spawn items in that it wouldn't really be organic at all if that is what you're hoping for.
Cheeki, you should give a warning that this mod basically exposes your personal information to everyone connected.
Not sure what the money give feature has purpose wise other than for charity/helping friends leave the hobo phase partially. Maybe a item trade/auction system can be added to give it more importance (since selling tool kits or repair/modifying kits, ammo, or such could help be a lucrative side economy to the normal trader system. Still a great mod however since Synthetik's single player global chat function was also great for casual chatting, memeing, or question/advice asking/answering.
As for Ray of Hope dropping off, xrMPE and RAD multiplayer seem to be having MUCH better and consistant development process with very little feature creep and still keeping the plans to maintain PvE and server hosting availability (especially for the former as they have a public build already that is just a tailor made for stalker coop horde mode used to stress test network sync and server hosting). I hope they get more volunteers and support so we can finally have open world/coop stalker multiplayer.

Well I hope they have something good in store for us but it doesn't look good on the multiplayer side. The development has been so slow we'll see if this thing comes out one day first :)

I tried this earlier, so I started to talk to them, and asked questions. I got roasted so hard on a few things, haven't laughed this hard in a long time. (Said earlier today that a surrendering stalker gave me a stash location, but he tried to attack me after offering a med-kit to him to let 'im live.) They also start their own conservations and it's just entertaining to watch, though can be distracting, still funny to see them go at it, also they really like to shit on Hip and of course each other if they're enemy factions.
We all hate Hip equally, no matter the faction, brothers united.
I was going to post, "well, it took 12 years, but we finally managed to bring a 2009 game into the late 90s with online multiplayer." But apparently we have to keep dreaming. I wonder if Stalker 2 or Ray of Hope will come out first. Bets?

Can anyone tell me? I installed version 4.1, threw it into the root folder with the game, I start the chat, and it hangs in an endless connection. What could be the problem?

I remember this mod way back when the original dev shared it with a few people. Was pretty comfy and it wasn't spammed with overused jokes. Got killed when it was posted on reddit and r/stalker cried and complained about people being mean so much it attracted people that just spammed it till it was killed. Hopefully tourists don't kill this again

Hey. I'm new to stalker, I've played the main trilogy and wanted to start playing anomaly. But I dont know what to do. Should I play it vanilla or mod it? Maybe you could make a video for first time players or maybe even create your own modpack.
I mean it depends, do you wanna go straight in or first experience the story of anomaly?
If the latter one than def not modded or atleast just some mods that don't change much.
I'd recommend EFP 3.0 for more casual game or G.A.M.M.A. for more difficulty and survival

im not super knowledgeable about the xray engine or really game modding in general but what im wondering is why is it so hard/taken so long to get any form of co-op or multiplayer in stalker when clear sky and COP had multiplayer team death match? couldn't multiplayer be built off of that
Because the engine is a bloody broken mess that doesn't wanna work correctly 99% of the time.

The problem with the give money is if a cheater player gives himself rubles, he can max out anyone in the chat.
