- SG King: The Final Checkmate Part 19 - that might get in the way of my blade build. It's rank 9, and this may be the first difficulty to finally get me. Strap in tight, it's gonna be a good fight.

It's pretty clever to try and "trick" the algorithm by omitting 'Shotgun' in the title and description + shortening the game name into SG King.
I just hope it works! All the regulars here know the game from the thumbnail anyway, so all good by me

Fun fact, taunting hop's extra turn works with soul cards, so you can rook, bishop or queen hop from a distance and get the extra turn
Yes, you can chain as many extra turns as you want as long as you're getting them from different effects.

Edit: a little game knowledge for ya btw, i believe secret heir activation counts as an enemy turn of sorts, you wont die if you discovery check to a rook behind a king with a secret heir (i think this could be wrong),what i do know tho is that secret heir doesnt properly activate during the boss fight, so you dont have to go out of your way to look for it

Yeah, that's there for a good reason. Add enough pieces and they'll checkmate you within ten turns.

NOOOOOO! Passing on Taunting Hop when you had Bushido (and Blade) was tragic! That combination is so incredibly good. And he did it twice. T_T
Fun Fact: as the Move Indicator says when you select a piece, the Boss King can only move horizontally or vertically, he’s restricted from diagonals
I love how the white cards he got kinda tell a story if you rearrange them. King had a secret mistress which lead to a secret heir. To keep the secret, the King put the son into the army and made it so everyone would get Pikeman training so he'd be safer. Then the bishops started to read from the red book, only to be overthrown by the pawns...

That is asking for death on any difficulty above rank 1
Unless you want to do an achievement that 0,1% players have. Or for secret ending because it's card let bishop leader escape almost all the time assuming they aren't out of materials to not be a cowardly.

8:58 I’m pretty sure Secret Heir gives you an extra turn when the heir spawns so you’d still be fine

You never realize how hard some of these games he plays are until you play them. I got a copy of this a while ago and it definitely is difficult enough that my usual play style for games tend to cause me to lose more often than not
Also, within my first few games I unlocked the 4 blade required gun and have been constantly using it because "why not?" logic
From my experience in shotgun king, the blade gun ‘nakeda’ and the three shot gun ‘Richard III’ are the worst in the game due to their low base damage and the extra shot or melee aren’t worth it, the starting gun ‘solomon’ and the knockback gun ‘Ramesses II’ are the mid tier guns and the one you chose depends on if you’re willing to trade fire arc for knock back and finally the single shot gun ‘Victoria’ is the best gun in the game due to its ability to 1 shot all pieces before cards are added
He's too good and entertaining lol. His playthrough of Card Sharks made the game appear to be even though in reality its medicore playing it yourself.

This is the first time im also playing a game tyler is, (except maybe bloons) and i gotta say im excited to see how he fairs. Im currently stuck on trying to beat floor 14, and it gets HARD
I won after intense battles and a lot of both struggling and throwing... and now i wish i didn't. Rank 15 is devastating compared to 14.
Rank 14 or floor 14? Floor 14 is easy, but rank 14 is hard, very hard
The speed of an unit counts as how long it takes before it moves. The higher the amount, the slower the piece is.
Would love to see you get as many pieces as possible on the enemy's side and still come out on top
Sacred Crown plus Royal Loafers is one of the most overpowered combos in shotgun king. Combo beat me floor 15

I saw a video with 2 more endings but it has some special conditions: first you need a bishop alive in the boss battle and two you need the red book to get the endings the rest is up to you to understand
By the way Tyler, hitboxes take up the entire tile the piece is on, so if the fire arc fits within the tile an enemy is on, every pellet will pass through that tile (assuming you don't have Saboteur doubling the arc of some bullets). The best example of this is that it is practically impossible to shoot an enemy diagonally from you if you have two enemies adjacent to you orthogonally.
You should do a run (probably on an easier difficulty) where you just pick the best synergies for white

If you want the secret ending you need to leave a bishop alive with the red book at the boss then there are 2 endings that come from it if you have a shotgun shell in the chamber you destroy the book when you kill the black bishop if you don’t have a shell in the chamber it gets passes to a white pawn and it’s the end

The thing about Sacred Crown is, when you get it, and you use soul cards EVERY time you get one to get MORE soul cards, you practically have twic the amount of turns of white, and just one extra turn is already insane. Imagine an entire 100% extra, and that's not counting bushido.
The white pieces are basically paralysed because to them, you're moving at 3 times the speed of normal humans and picking their people off before they can even react.
It should be called OpponentHasSpear King

as I recall, theocracy will only show up if white has at least three bishops already, so trimming the number of bishops down removed it from the pool.
It only needs 2+ bishops, not 3, but yeah when he went back down to 1 bishop it meant his last 4 cards couldn't be theocracy.
Taunting hop is actually quite a bit better than it seems at face value; since it counts as a move, and as such let’s you regenerate ammo or reload your gun.
Kings mistress and the card that makes it to where the queen can’t attack you if you are with in two tiles of her would be op
evolution favors the pawns.
The casual disrespect for taunting hop here is brutal. I generally consider it to be the strongest card in the game. It allows you to move for free on most turns. Moving for free allows you to reload without spending a turn, gives you free ammo regen and allows you more options to flee check since you can move twice in 1 turn. It also allows you to move into check to kill things with blade which is handy.

Don't sleep on Taunting Hop. I did that too because it used to be unplayable, but you get an extra action whenever you use it, which is absurdly powerful actually.

Taunting hop can deal with kite shields easily. Sadly, the pawns having this much range makes it a dangerous idea. I guess not taking it wasn't really a bad choice.

Collect only gold, silver, bronze, and gem symbols or things that add them to the board
When the black king gets taunting hop and blade:

In my opinion the ying yang card is one of the worst you can pick behind iron-maiden, Knightmare and kiteshield

Taunting Hop is actually a great card, it just doesn't fit into blade builds.
pikes are the bigger version of spears, pretty nice as long as you have good armor.

You didn't get Theocracy because you got rid of all the bishops; you have to have at least 2 for it to spawn. Also, you used the double-extra-turn several times but somehow didn't notice.
