I think nuking the reapers at the start of every game made them much worse, they basically guaranteed the opponent had to play a guarded move every time if they were still around
If you get 2 reaper on different color you definitely shouldn’t trade them. Every square are under pressure and you can double down on a color just by moving one of them. I can imagine them combo very well with pins.

@@franzicoyShe only gets to nuke pieces on the same color as she is on. My strategy versus Tabitha is to actually sacrifice all of my long-range pieces at her to spay her attack power. Especially if I've somehow obtained the Hydra.
@@chaosstripe9446i’m not a gamedev, but if I were to balance it I would have a max number of squares that can be hit by the piece. though this game has the concept of different movement and attack patterns which makes it more complicated

Different Basic class starts with different amount of points - you can pay points for other abilities and movements. Negative traits add more points, As you level up, you can gain more, abilities. But the maximum power should be worth less than top 10% of all preset pieces at that level
I would like to say that bladedancer will never get old. Watching them dance around, wiping out an entire board in a satisfying chain will never not be awesome to watch
Tyler i played the new update and there is a relic i think you should try and use for a run of the game. The carnival mask, It's an amazing relic that completely changes the game and without giving to many spoilers that run will be pure chaos.

@@Goldenroses930 It randomizes all of the pieces every time they move so you can't strategize about what your pieces are. it doesn't work on the kings, but your pieces can randomize into the witches and their witches randomize as well. Also if you've seen his most recent Ouroboros king video it can also randomize pieces into the egg so they become useless.

Bladedancer and the perm relic that makes your pieces move like a king is literally the best piece in the game If enemy has fool its a bit problem but probably thes cant have fool and the relic (king moves relic) in the same time

Idea for reaper rework: it can mimic the abilities of the last killed piece (mimicing agents will change the piece it mimics to the piece it becomes, and spiked shield will count the captured piece as the last one) upgrades to death, horseman of the apocalypse
If you like chess games and want new pieces, then I must recommend chesscraft! It has both a story mode with a full map, using custom pieces already made and you can choose which side to play on. And you need to play against an ai which you can set the difficulty for. The higher the difficulty the higher the points you get, and you can get both black and white points depending on what side you play on. When you have enough points so can you unlock entirely different areas. You can also unlock new skins and board layouts via the story mode. You can then make your very own pieces and boards, and you can fight against another person or an ai or even ai vs ai. When you make your own custom pieces so can you choose how it moves, attacks and all of the abilities from the story modes.
Watching this I almost feel like you'd want 2 reapers on the same color instead of separate. That way they can protect each other except from king or witch. Making the ai really be careful about trades. Also double threatening a single color seriously limits the movement enemy pieces have.
